Change Dictionary Code(s) Section

Change user defined dictionary data elements.

  1. In the File field, select the dictionary file.
  2. In the Data Element field, enter the data element, click Enter to select.
  3. In the Original Dictionary Code field, select the dictionary code.
  4. In the New Dictionary Code field, enter the new dictionary code.
  5. Select Apply Changes.
  6. If appropriate, select Clear to remove changes.

Note: Only RADplus modeled dictionary codes in files types starting with USER * are available to be changed. 

On the Dictionary Update form, only data elements defined as dictionary data elements are accessible. Locked dictionary values cannot be modified. If you select a data element with a locked dictionary, a dialog box displays. Clicking Ok redisplays the Change Dictionary Code(s) section and deselects the data element. Only the active dictionary codes and values for the selected data element display in the Original Dictionary Code field.
