ProviderConnect Coordinating Providers

ProviderConnect coordinating providers have access to client information for any ProviderConnect agencies.

Details

Coordinating provider permission is granted by a ProviderConnect administrator.

Coordinating providers permissions:

  • Can view client records for any contracting provider agencies.

  • Can create service authorization requests for a client assigned to any ProviderConnect agency.

  • Cannot edit information filed by other providers.

Note: Creating a service authorization request assigns a client to an agency, if the client was not previously assigned.

  • If the service authorization is denied in Avatar MSO, the client association with the agency is deleted and the contracting provider will not be able to view information for the client.
  • The user must have been assigned to an access group with Coordinating Provider permission (ProviderConnect Manage Permissions link, Manage an Access Group menu).

  • The coordinating provider user must belong to an agency where the client has a coordinating provider assignment valid for the current date.
