System Code Defaults - PM

System Code Defaults is used for facilities that have sub-system codes enabled, and allows them to specify a different directory for 837, 835, and 997/999 electronic files than what is defined in Facility Defaults. If you do not fill this form out, then all sub-system codes will use the directory paths in Facility Defaults. 

Prerequisites:

  • This form is enabled by the 'Specify HIPAA Transaction File Input/Output Directories' registry setting.
  • Multiple system code functionality must be enabled by a Netsmart system administrator.
  1. Go to: Avatar PM > System Maintenance > System Definition
  2. In the System Code field, select the system codes.
  3. In the File Input Path On Server For 835 Files field, enter the directory address where 835 files will be stored.
  4. In the File Output Path On Server For 837 Files field, enter the directory address where 837 files will be stored.
  5. In the File Input Path On Server For 997/999 Files field, enter the directory address where 997/999 files will be stored.
  6. Select Submit.
