Claim Adjustment Group/Reason Code Import - PM

In order to compile and post 835 files, organizations must set up Claim Adjustment/Group Reason Codes for the HIPAA compliant CARC codes they can receive on an 835. Providing an import process would allow billing staff to maintain, update, and add claim adjustment reason codes more easily. This enhancement was released in myAvatar PM 2018 Update 166.

Processing electronic remittances (835s) is the recommended practice for posting remittances from payers. In order to compile and post 835 files, organizations must set up Claim Adjustment/Group Reason Codes for the HIPAA compliant CARC codes they can receive on an 835. The current process for entering these codes on the Claim Adjustment Group/Reason Code form is very tedious and time consuming. Providing an import process would allow billing staff to maintain, update, and add claim adjustment reason codes more easily.
