271 Guarantor Mapping - PM

Override all 271 mapping information entered in the Guarantors/Payors form for a guarantor.

Avatar PM > System Maintenance > System Definition > 271 Guarantor Mapping

Prerequisites:

  1. In the Guarantor field, enter the guarantor information, and click the Search button. Select the guarantor and click Ok.

  2. In the Add / Edit / Delete Mapping field, select whether to add, edit, or delete a guarantor mapping.

  3. Existing mappings will display in the 271 Guarantor Mapping field. To edit or delete an existing mapping, select it from the Existing Mapping drop-down menu.

  4. In the Eligibility or Benefit Information (2110C-EB-01) field, select the category or categories for the guarantor mapping.

  5. In the Service Type Code (2110C-EB-03) field, select the service type code(s) for the mapping.

  6. In the Insurance Type Code (2110C-EB-04) field, select the applicable insurance type code(s).

  7. In the Plan Coverage Description (2110C-EB-05) fields, select the appropriate plan coverage descriptors.

  8. In the Name Last or Organization Name (2110C-NM1-03) field, enter the last name or organization name for the guarantor.

  9. In the Identification Code Qualifier (2120C-NM1-08) field, select the type for the identification code.

  10. In the Identification Code (2120C-NM-09) field, enter the identification code.

  11. Click the File button to record the changes.
