Ask on order entry definition

Add your own questions to be asked at the time of entering orders.
  1. Go to: Avatar Order Entry > Order Entry System Definitions > Ask on Order Entry Definition
  2. In the Add or Edit AOE Question field, select:
    • Add to enter a new AOE question.
    • Edit to change an existing AOE question.
      • Select which question to edit in the AOE to Edit field.
  3. In the AOE Entry ID field, enter code or description by which to identify the specific question.
    Neither spaces nor any of the following characters are supported for this ID: "|" (long bar), "-" (dash), "=", "@", "#".
  4. In the AOE Question Text field, enter your custom question.
  5. In the AOE Type field, select the type of answer required for your question.
    • If CWS Vital Signs, select which type of vital sign in the CWS Vitals Field.
    • If Dictionary, locate the specific dictionary that answers should be chosen from by selecting the associated Dictionary Namespace, and Dictionary File.
      Then, use the Dictionary Search field to select the specific dictionary value.
  6. Select Submit.
