Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)

LDAP is an Internet protocol that allows communicating with a remote server. LDAP defines the rules that govern transmitting data between the parent product and the myAvatar Identity Manager servers.

 LDAP has the following prerequisites:

  • The Cache server must be running version 5.2.3, with Adhoc 6214, or higher.
  • The facility must have installed and setup an myAvatar Identity Manager server.
  • LDAP entries must have been entered in the myAvatar Identity Manager server.
  • Avatar users must have been entered in the myAvatar Identity Manager server, to be managed by myAvatar Identity Manager.
