Add Non-User Signature

The Add Non-User Signature form allows you to electronically sign a document used in Document Routing, using a signature capture device (like a signature pad). When a document is routed and you approve the document a line on the bottom then shows Date/User/ Role.

Following the instructions below adds a page to the document containing the electronic signature captured by the signature device or touch screen.

Prerequisites:

  • A form must be defined for document routing in the Document Routing Setup form.
  • To fill out this form, you must be a Document Management Administrator as defined in User Definition > Document Management. If you need assistance with this, please see your System Administrator.

  1. Go to: Avatar PM > RADplus Utilities > Document Routing > Add Non-User Signature
  2. In the Form Type field, select the type of record that signature will be added to. 
    Note: This field is populated by the forms that the user has access to in Document Management Definition.
    Check the User Definition, Document Management section.
    If the user is a Document Management Administrator, they should be able to see all forms. 
    If No is selected, check the settings in the Select Forms... buttons, and give access to the necessary forms.
  3. In the Entity field, search for and select the entity that the signature will be added to.
  4. Select the appropriate entity from the list of matches.
  5. In the From Date and To Date fields, enter the start and end dates.
    Note: The these dates control the available files in the List of Option Documents and Snapshots field.
  6. In the List of Option Documents and Snapshots field, select the file. This field lists the records meeting the entered criteria to which a non-user signature can be added.
    Note: Only Document Routing enabled forms are eligible for selection.
  7. Select Display Document to open the Document Viewer screen.
  8. In the Comments field, enter comments associated with the document.
  9. In the Non-User Signature field, select Sign.
    Result: A signature dialog displays.
  10. Enter your signature in the external signature device, and select OK.
  11. Select Submit.
