SavePerceptiveDocument method is missing - Perceptive

When attempting to scan documents in myAvatar using the ImageNow Package Mode Scanning option, the documents get stuck in the Capture Start workflow and never appear in the myAvatar clinical document list. When investigating the issue, it was determined that the 'SavePerceptiveDocument'​ method was missing from the 'DocM.Scan.WebService' class.

Symptoms

The 'SavePerceptiveDocument' method is necessary for ImageNow to provide the document ID and metadata to the myAvatar database.  It must be present for both POS and Batch scanning to work properly in the myAvatar and ImageNow document management solution.

Resolution

On the myAvatar system, verify all required patches are loaded - see What MyAvatar patches are necessary for ImageNow to work? 

If all patches are loaded, and opening the URL above does not yield the highlighted method, please contact Netsmart Support for assistance.

  • If the method is present, and the scanning problem persists, please request ImageNow engineering support.
