Loading Additional Licenses on the Server - Perceptive

PURPOSE – If additional licenses were purchased after the initial quote, then the licenses will need to be loaded on the server.

PREREQUISITES – The license file needs to have been received from Perceptive and you will need access to the client’s server.

What should have been received from Perceptive?

  • A license file should have been received from Perceptive.
  • Below is what the file should look like when opened.

  • Note: The Perceptive license file can only be uploaded once.

How do I load the license file?

  • Login to the ImageNow server.
    • Note: This file can only be loaded on the server.
  • Copy the license file to the desktop
    • Depending on the security settings, you may have to e-mail the file to yourself.
  • Open ImageNow.
  • Click on License Manager.

  • The License Management window will appear. Verify that upload licenses is selected. Then click OK.

  • A search directory window will appear. Find the license file that is saved on your desktop. Then click “Open”.
  • The License Management – Server Information window will appear. Enter the following information:
    • User Name (Administrator)
    • Password (Administrator)
    • Server name or IP address
    • Port number (always 6000)

  • Then click “OK” and the following screen should appear if the import was successful.

  • If the import was unsuccessful, the status field would say “FAIL”.

How do I verify the updated licensing information in ImageNow?

  • Login to the Management Console.
  • Open the Diagnostics folder and click on Licenses.
  • The current license information will load, then appear on the right hand side of the screen.
    • In this example, I uploaded three seat licenses. I am able to verify that the upload was successful because the system shows 9 seat licenses installed and 6 in use.
