Loading Additional Licenses on the Server - Perceptive
PURPOSE – If additional licenses were purchased after the initial quote, then the licenses will need to be loaded on the server.
PREREQUISITES – The license file needs to have been received from Perceptive and you will need access to the client’s server.
What should have been received from Perceptive?
- A license file should have been received from Perceptive.
- Below is what the file should look like when opened.
- Note: The Perceptive license file can only be uploaded once.
How do I load the license file?
- Login to the ImageNow server.
- Note: This file can only be loaded on the server.
- Copy the license file to the desktop
- Depending on the security settings, you may have to e-mail the file to yourself.
- Open ImageNow.
- Click on License Manager.
- The License Management window will appear. Verify that upload licenses is selected. Then click OK.
- A search directory window will appear. Find the license file that is saved on your desktop. Then click “Open”.
- The License Management – Server Information window will appear. Enter the following information:
- User Name (Administrator)
- Password (Administrator)
- Server name or IP address
- Port number (always 6000)
- Then click “OK” and the following screen should appear if the import was successful.
- If the import was unsuccessful, the status field would say “FAIL”.
How do I verify the updated licensing information in ImageNow?
- Login to the Management Console.
- Open the Diagnostics folder and click on Licenses.
- The current license information will load, then appear on the right hand side of the screen.
- In this example, I uploaded three seat licenses. I am able to verify that the upload was successful because the system shows 9 seat licenses installed and 6 in use.
