Installing Avatar Document Imaging and Archiving - POS
Install instructions for POS Scanning.
Prerequisites:
- To install myAvatar Document Imaging and Archiving - POS it is necessary to install server updates and the application. If these files were not provided to you upon purchase of the solution, please contact your Netsmart representative.
- To install the server update, install "NTST_Document_Imaging_Archiving_POS_Initial_Install.GSA" through the Product Update and Customization Pack Installation form in myAvatar CWS.
- To install the application, run the myAvatar POS.msi installation package and follow the instructions that appear on the screen. See the following steps.
It is necessary to install the myAvatar Document Imaging and Archiving - POS application on each machine that will be scanning documents.
Steps
- From the first screen of the installation instructions, click Next.
- Select the folder where you would like the program installed. Click Browse for an installation directory of your choice or leave the default settings. It is recommended that you use the default directory.
If you do not install the POS software using the default path, it will be necessary to alter the path in the RADplus Utilities > Menu Manager > Define Menu Item form to launch it correctly from the myAvatar Document Management menu. Click the Next button after you choose the directory. - Click Next to start the installation.
- The progress of the installation displays in a progress bar.
- When the installation is complete, the final screen displays. Click Close to exit the installation program.
The system has now been installed. The next steps are to set up the custom menu items in myAvatar to run the myAvatar Document Imaging and Archiving program.
