Delete a document
Delete scanned, imported, or Document Routed documents.
Prerequisite:

A document delete path must be defined in the Document Management Defaults form.

Go to Avatar CWS > Document Management - In the Entity Type field, select the entity.
- In the Include field:
- Select All to choose all clients or staff.
- Select Individual to choose an individual client or staff.
- In the Entity field, enter the client or staff name, select Process Search.
- Select Ok.
- If a client is chosen, in the Episode field select the client episode.
- Select Inactive Only to choose inactive forms (Document Management Definition form).
- Select Form Search.
Result: Forms associated with the client display.
- Choose the form and select Ok.
- In the Select Form field, choose the form.
- Select Delete.
- The document is deleted and cannot be viewed from the Clinical Document Viewer form, or through Chart Review.
- The deleted document is stored in the directory defined in the Document Management Defaults form.
- Select Exit to leave the form.
- NOTE: To put a modeled form back into Draft that has been submitted as Final and has had been appended using Append Document, you need to use Delete Document. That will set the form back to Draft. Then you can go back into the form itself, and choose the Draft record from the Pre-display, make your edits and submit again as Final to create the new Document.
