Batch Scanning

Stack and scan a batch of documents at one time. Document Management works with third party software to batch scan documents using Kofax Ascent Capture®.

Note: Once documents are scanned content cannot be edited.

  • Compatible with TWAIN compliant scanners, including multifunctional scanners
  • Scan multiple documents without user interaction
  • Associate scanner forms with myAvatar forms (many to one)
  • Documents can be rescanned before being stored
  • Store documents and document database information in TIFF format

The batch scanning process is performed in Kofax Capture.

  1. Create a batch.
  2. Scan the batch.
  3. Recognize the documents.  Using OCR (optical character recognition), ICR (intelligent character recognition), or OMR (optical mark recognition).
  4. Validate documents.
  5. Release documents to myAvatar CWS.
  6. The image and document database information are saved in the directory defined in the Document Management Defaults form.

Saved files cannot be appended (Append Document form).
