System Maintenance - CPT Code Definition - Cal-PM

You can manage myAvatar CPT codes in the System Definition form. 
Note: The File Import form can be used to import CPT code definitions. Once these rules are imported, they can be edited in this form.

  1. Go to: Avatar PM > System Maintenance > System Definition

  2. In the Add New or Edit Existing field:

  • Select Add to add a new CPT code.
  • Select Edit to edit an existing CPT code.
  1. In the Code field, enter the CPT code.

  2. In the CPT Code field, enter the CPT code, click the Search button, and select the corresponding entry. When entering a CPT code number, enter the full code.

  3. In the Definition field, enter the CPT code description.

  4. In the Non-Specific Procedure Code Description field, enter the description for all HIPAA transaction version 5010 837 electronic submissions (837P-2400-SV1-01.7 and 837I-2400-SV2-02.7).
    In order for this field to be used on the 837, the registry setting Specify Loops/Segments To Suppress/Include must be set to '2' and the Select Segments To Include field on the Guarantor/Program Billing Defaults form must also be set.

  5. Click File CPT Code.

  • Click Print CPT Codes to generate the CPT Code Listing report, which details all myAvatar CPT code information.
