About Clinical Notes Mapping
As part of meeting ONC Certification requirements for clinical notes, myAvatar CWS has functionality for generating CCDA (Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture) documents when notes are finalized. These clinical notes are intended to reflect what occurred during a specific visit with the provider and are not intended to reflect on the client's or patient's care summary as a whole. When the user finalizes a note they select whether the clinical note can be released to external providers or to the client or patient.
CCDA documents are stored to a Netsmart repository, which myHealthPointe and other third-party applications can query for access. These clinical notes are also available via the Patient Access APIs developed as part of the ONC Certification requirements.
User access to clinical notes is through FHIR, CareConnect Inbox, myHealthPointe, Carequality (2023 Roadmap), or HIE (2023 Roadmap). In CareConnect Inbox, users can generate a CCD by date range or by selecting a specific clinical note that has been submitted.
Use the Clinical Notes Mapping form to define the type of note to create, the source document for the information, and the standard CCD sections to include in the clinical note, such as Medications and Allergies.
Note: For clients using MedNote, predefined mappings are available.
