Device Hub setup
With myAvatar AM NX, there is a new process necessary to configure and allow the system to communicate with the dosing hardware. Device Hub is an .exe file that needs to be downloaded on the workstations where myAvatar AM NX is accessed. Installing Device Hub will not interfere with current myAvatar AM NX setup.
The Device Hub file can be accessed and downloaded via the Netsmart Product Upgrade Portal. Any myAvatar AM NX release that includes a new version of Device Hub to be installed is highlighted in the release notes.
Note: If this is your first time installing the Device Hub on a machine (not upgrading versions), you may need to restart the computer afterwards for the SSL certificate to take effect.
Device Hub installation
DeviceHubInstaller.exe installs a Windows service and an SSL certificate on the machine.
- The installer must be run as an administrator.
- If you do not pass any service account parameters to the installer, you are prompted to enter them during installation.
- If you provide invalid service account credentials, the installation will fail and roll back.
- /quiet performs a silent install.
Example of how to perform a silent install with passing in the service account:
- Credentials - DeviceHubInstaller.exe/quiet
- USERNAME - yourUserName
- PASSWORD - yourPassword/quiet
