Product Update Description
The following enhancements are made to Avatar eMAR NX: 1) Performance is improved when initially loading a client's orders. Note: This also positively impacts performance when loading the Task List Console. 2) Support for "dynamic refresh" capabilities to notify users of real-time changes to a client's medication orders if the user has that client open in eMAR NX. Note: Avatar CWS Update 65 and an Avatar NX Release are required to make use of this functionality. 3) Support for displaying administration and collection events in the 'Task History' dialog in the Task List Console. Note: Avatar CWS Update 6 and an upcoming Avatar Order Entry Update as well as an Avatar NX Release are required to make use of this functionality. 4) Support for displaying an icon representing warnings and override reasons provided for past administration events. Note: An Avatar NX release is required to make use of this functionality. 5) The unit of measure, either Fahrenheit or Celsius, used for temperature entries in the 'Administration Event' dialog is now determined based off of the registry settings 'Restrict Temperature Entry To Specific Field' and 'Preferred Temperature For Displays/Reports'. Note: An Avatar NX Release is required to make use of this functionality. 6) Support for documenting an "additional dose" in eMAR NX. Note: An Avatar NX Release is required to make use of this functionality. In addition, the following issues are resolved: 1) In eMAR NX, 'Pain Scale' and 'Weight' filed with a 'Follow-up' are not shown when the 'Administration Event' is displayed in the 'Void Administration Event' dialog. 2) Medication, laboratory and diet orders do not appear in the Task List Console when ordered under client episodes other than the client's most recent inpatient episode. (Note: Avatar CWS 2023 Update 65 must also be installed to resolve this issue.) 3) When opening the eMAR NX Console, the error "[UNDEFINED]BuildXML+34^eMARNXAPIAOEData *CC" might occur.

Avatar eMAR - Editing an administration
An issue is resolved where editing an 'Administration Event' in Avatar eMAR causes the 'admin_by' field in the 'eMAR.eMAR_administration_data' table to be populated with the contents of the 'admin_by_name' field, which would result in the 'Administration By' field containing no value.
Please note: A myAvatar Client Update or upgrade must also be installed in order to resolve this issue.

eMAR NX - Inventory Check-in
The following enhancements are introduced for the eMAR NX 'Inventory Check-in' feature: 1) The ability to add or subtract a specific quantity, rather than inputting the new on hand quantity. 2) The on hand inventory quantity will be moved automatically from the old order to the new order when a Modify is filed in the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section). 3) 'Administration Event' codes can be configured as to whether or not inventory should be decremented. This is accomplished via the extended attribute 'Decrement from Inventory on hand' (Data Element 10064) available for dictionary 'Administration Event' (Data Element 10000) in "eMAR Tabled Files". 4) More information is provided in the 'Comments' field for system-generated inventory changes. 5) The ability to filter out system-generated inventory changes from the 'Check-in History' grid. 6) Support for variable dose orders for 'Inventory Check-in', with administrations of any component of a variable dose order utilizing a common inventory. NOTE: These enhancements apply only to eMAR NX, and an Avatar NX Release must also be installed to utilize these enhancements.
