Product Update Form Description

The registry setting 'Allow users to override warnings for multiple orders at one time' is added. Setting this registry setting to "Y" will allow users to have the ability to override, at the same time, warnings for multiple orders within the Avatar eMAR 'Administration Event' dialog. Please note that a myAvatar Client Update or upgrade must also be installed for full functionality.

Avatar eMAR - Administration Event dialog

The registry setting 'Allow users to override warnings for multiple orders at one time' is added. Setting this registry setting to "Y" will allow users to have the ability to override, at the same time, warnings for multiple orders within the Avatar eMAR 'Administration Event' dialog. Please note that myAvatar Client Update 3201-006 must also be installed for full functionality.

Scenario 1: eMAR Multiple Administration After Receiving a Prompt (Dose Too Close or Order Not Yet Verified by Pharmacy)

Specific Setup:

The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Prevent Administration Events For Unverified Pharmacy Orders' registry setting must be set to "4"
The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Enable Incremental Scanning/Defaulting Medication Quantity' registry setting must be set to "1"
The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Allow users to override warnings for multiple orders at one time' registry setting must be set to "Y"
A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
“Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.

Steps

Access the 'Frequency Code Setup' form.
Select 'Edit Existing Code' from the 'Add/Edit Frequency Code' field.
Search for and select "AS NEEDED (PRN)" from the 'Existing Frequency Code' field.
Set the 'eMAR Dose Too Close (Days)' field to "5" and click [Submit].
Validate the message displays stating "Frequency Code Setup has completed. Do you wish to return to form?" and click [No].
Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
Search for and select "Fish Oil 500 MG CAPSULE ORAL" from the 'New Order' field.
Set the 'Dose' field to "2".
Select "Capsule" from the 'Dose Unit' field.
Select "AS NEEDED" from the 'Freq' field.
Set the 'Duration' field to "12" and click [Days].
Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
Search for and select "ATIVAN 1 MG TABLET ORAL (Schedule IV)" from the 'New Order' field.
Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
Select "TABLET" from the 'Dose Unit' field.
Select "TWICE A DAY" from the 'Freq' field.
Set the 'Duration' field to "12" and click [Days].
Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
Validate the 'Order grid' contains orders for "ATIVAN 1 MG ORAL TABLET (Schedule IV) 1 TABLET, TWICE A DAY" and "Fish Oil 500 MG ORAL CAPSULE 2 Capsule, AS NEEDED".
Access the 'eMAR' widget.
Validate an order for "ATIVAN 1 MG ORAL TABLET" is displayed with hours of administration under the current date.
Validate an order for "Fish Oil 500 MG ORAL CAPSULE" is displayed with no hours of administration under the current date.
Perform 'Client Education' and 'Order Acknowledgement' for the two orders.
Select a cell under the current date for the "Fish Oil" order.
Verify a message displays stating "Order not yet verified by pharmacy".
Set the 'Warning' field to "test" and click [Yes].
Click [Administer].
Set the 'Med ID' field to the NDC for the "Fish Oil" order (00904-5604-13).
Select any successful administration event from the 'Administration Event' field.
Check the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
Select the next available cell under the current date for the "Fish Oil" order.
Verify a message displays stating "Order not yet verified by pharmacy" and "The dose being administered is too close to the previously administered dose. The next dose should be administered after (5 days after the current date at the previous administration time)".
Set the 'Warning' field to "test" and click [Yes].
Select a cell under the current date for the "ATIVAN" order.
Verify a message displays stating "Order not yet verified by pharmacy".
Set the 'Warning' field to "test" and click [Yes].
Click [Administer].
Verify the 'Administration Event' dialog exists.
Set the 1st 'Med ID' field to "Test".
Select any successful administration event from the 'Administration Event' field.
Set the 2nd 'Med ID' field to "Test".
Select any successful administration event from the 'Administration Event' field.
Click [Address Alerts], populate all warnings, and click [OK].
Check the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
Validate a cell for the "Ativan" order displays with "1 Tablet" and the administration time.
Validate two cells under the current date for the "Fish Oil" order will contain 2 Capsule and the administration times.
