Scenario 1: eMAR - Lab Orders - Specimen Collection - Specimen Collection After Initial Refusal
Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Display Indicator When Administration Event Has Been Refused' registry setting must be set to "Yes".
  • The following extended attributes must be set in the eMAR Tabled Files ‘(10000) Administration Event’ dictionary for “Refused”:
  • ‘Successful Administration’ = “No”
  • ‘Client Refusal’ = “Yes”
  • The following extended attributes must be set in the eMAR Tabled Files ‘(10000) Administration Event’ dictionary for “NURSE-ADMIN”:
  • ‘Successful Administration’ = “Yes”
  • ‘Client Refusal’ = “No”
  • A frequency code with scheduled administration times must exist. (Twice A Day with administration times at 09:00 AM and 09:00 PM)
  • Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select any lab-type order code in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Select "Twice A Day" in the 'Frequency' field.
  4. Populate all required fields, set the 'Start Time' field to "12:00 AM", and click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
  5. Validate the ‘Order grid’ contains the new order.
  6. Access the 'eMAR' widget.
  7. Click the 'Lab Orders' tab.
  8. Validate that an order for "Order Code A" is displayed with scheduled collection times.
  9. Select the “0900” cell and click [Administer].
  10. Validate the ‘Order Acknowledgement’ dialog is displayed and click [OK].
  11. Validate the ‘Client Education’ dialog is displayed.
  12. Select “Yes” in the ‘Education Performed’ field and click [OK].
  13. Validate the ‘Administration Event’ dialog is displayed.
  14. Select "Refused" in the 'Collection Event' field
  15. Check the 'Accept specimen collection entered' field and click [OK].
  16. Validate that "Refused" and the time refused with a thumbs down icon to the right of it, is displayed in the first cell under the current date.
  17. Right click the first cell and click [Specimen Collection After Initial Refusal].
  18. Validate the ‘Specimen Collection’ dialog is displayed.
  19. Search and select "Nurse Administered" in the 'Collection Event' field and click [Submit Edit].
  20. Validate the "Administration After Initial Refusal" icon is displayed in the first cell.

Scenario 1: OE NX - Discharge Med Reconciliation - Do Not Add and Do Not Add Remaining
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active inpatient episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select "DIGOXIN 0.125 MG Tablet ORAL" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Set the 'Dose' field to ".125". and press Tab.
  4. Validate the 'Dose' field contains "0.125".
  5. Select "MG" in the 'Dose Unit' field.
  6. Select "3 TIMES A DAY" in the 'Freq' field.
  7. Set the 'Duration' field to "28" and click [Days].
  8. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  9. Search for and select "ATIVAN (LORAZEPAM) 2 MG TABLET ORAL (Schedule IV)" in the 'New Order' field.
  10. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  11. Select "Tablet" in the 'Dose Unit' field.
  12. Select "AS NEEDED" in the 'Freq' field.
  13. Set the 'Duration' field to "15" and click [Days].
  14. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  15. Search for and select "PERCOCET 325 MG-5 MG TABLET ORAL (Schedule II)" in the 'New Order' field.
  16. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  17. Select "Tablet" in the 'Dose Unit' field.
  18. Select "Every 8 Hours, As Needed" in the 'Freq' field.
  19. Set the 'Duration' field to "3" and click [Days].
  20. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
  21. Validate the 'Interactions' dialog is displayed.
  22. Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
  23. Validate the 'Order grid' contains the following orders:
  24. PERCOCET 325 MG-5 MG ORAL TABLET (Schedule II) 1 Tablet, Every 8 Hours, As Needed

  27. Click the 'Discharge Med Reconciliation' tab.
  28. Validate that row 1 of the 'Inpatient Medications' order grid contains an order for "ATIVAN (LORAZEPAM) 2 MG ORAL TABLET (Schedule IV) 1 Tablet, AS NEEDED".
  29. Validate that row 2 of the 'Inpatient Medications' order grid contains an order for "DIGOXIN 0.125 MG ORAL Tablet 0.125 MG, 3 TIMES A DAY".
  30. Validate that row 3 of the 'Inpatient Medications' order grid contains an order for "PERCOCET 325 MG-5 MG ORAL TABLET (Schedule II) 1 Tablet, Every 8 Hours, As Needed".
  31. Select the "ATIVAN" order
  32. Set the 'New Order' field to "ACETA " and wait for a few seconds and finish typing "MINOP" and immediately click [Do Not Add].
  33. Click [Clear Client].
  34. Search for and select the same client.
  35. Access the 'Discharge Reconciliation' tab and verify that there is no error is displayed.
  36. Validate that the "ATIVAN" order contains "DNA" in the 'Action' column.
  37. Set the 'New Order' field to "ACETA " and wait for a few seconds and finish typing "MINOP" and immediately click [Do Not Add Remaining].
  38. Validate that "DNA" is displayed in the 'Action' column for both the "DIGOXIN" and "PERCOCET" orders.
  39. Click [Undo] for all orders and validate that the orders are not selected in the 'Inpatient Medications' order grid.

Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
  • A pharmacy-type order code must exist with the 'Enable Sliding Scale Insulin Instructions' checkbox checked. (Order Code A)
  • A frequency code with no set hours of administration must exist. (Frequency Code A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select "Order A" from the 'New Order' field.
  3. Select "Sliding Scale Insulin" button and add [New Row].
  4. Select "Frequency Code A" from the 'Frequency' field.
  5. Populate the required fields, click [Add to Scratchpad], and [Sign].
  6. Access the 'eMAR' widget.
  7. Validate that an order for "Order Code A" is displayed.
  8. Click [Dose] and [Administer] and then complete 'Order Acknowledgment' and 'Client Education'.
  9. Validate Date of Admission and Time of Admission.
  10. Populate the required fields in the Clinical Data.
  11. Click the 'View Sliding Scale' link and provide value in the 'Blood Glucose' field.
  12. Validate the appropriate 'Units' is getting highlighted and click [Select Dose].
  13. Populate the required fields and click [Save].
  14. Validate the order information displays in the cell selected.

  • The 'Allow selection of previously entered Blood Glucose readings in Emar' registry setting must be set to no value.
  • The 'Retain Qty/Unit if Med ID does not start with a numeral' registry setting must be set to "N"
  • Please log out and log back into the application after completing the above configuration.
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.

  13. Validate the values in the 'Qty' and 'Unit' fields are removed.
  14. Populate any remaining required fields on the 'Administration Event' tab.
  15. Click [Warning View].
  16. Override all warnings and click [OK].
  17. Click the 'Additional Data (Administration)' tab.
  18. Do not enter data for any fields and check the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
  19. Validate the 'Missing Required Fields' dialog is displayed, contains the missing required fields, and click [OK].
  20. Populate the required fields in 'Additional Data (Administration)' tab and validate a green checkmark displays.
  21. Click [OK].
  22. Validate the selected cell contain the administration event data.
  23. Click [Refresh] and double click on the administered cell and validate 'Administration Record - Results' dialog is displayed.
  24. Select the 'Add'l Data (Administration)' tab and validate the given data is saved.
  25. Select the 'Add'l Data (Results)' tab and validate the fields are required.
  26. Do not populate any fields and check the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
  27. Validate the 'Missing Required Fields' dialog is displayed and contains the missing required fields and click [OK].

Scenario 2: Scheduling Calendar - Validate 'Time Zone' for group appointments
Specific Setup:
  • A site is defined with hours for scheduling (Site A).
  • This site is configured for "US/Eastern" time zone. Please note: this is done in the 'Site Registration' form in Avatar NX.
  • One or more practitioners defined with hours for scheduling.
  • Multiple time zones must be selected in the 'Appointment Details Time Zone(s)' field in the 'Appointment Scheduling System Defaults' form.
  • For testing, "UTC-7 America/Denver (MT)" and "UTC-6 America/Chicago (CT)" will be used.
  • A group (Group A) is defined with two clients (Client A & Client B).
Steps
  1. Access the 'Scheduling Calendar' form.
  2. Select "Site A" in the 'Site' field.
  3. Right click in the 12:00PM time slot and click [Add Appointment].
  4. Validate the 'Appointment Start Time' field contains "12:00 PM".
  5. Validate the 'Appointment End Time' field contains "12:30 PM".
  6. Select the desired group service code in the 'Service Code' field.
  7. Select "Group A" in the 'Client' field.
  8. Validate the 'Time Zone' field is displayed.
  9. Please note: this field becomes visible when there are one or more selections made in the 'Appointment Details Time Zone(s)' field in the 'Appointment Scheduling System Defaults' form.
  10. Validate "UTC-5 US/Eastern (ET)" is populated by default in the 'Time Zone' field. This field will be populated by default based on the following logic:
  11. If 'Site Registration' has 'Time Zone' configured in Avatar NX, that will be the default value.
  12. If 'Site Registration' does not have 'Time Zone' configured but the logged in user has a 'Time Zone' configured in 'User Definition', that will be the default value.
  13. If 'Site Registration' does not have 'Time Zone' configured and the logged in user also does not have 'Time Zone' configured, the server time zone will be used.
  14. Please note: the time zones must be selected in the 'Appointment Scheduling System Defaults' form.
  15. Select "UTC-7 America/Denver (MT)" in the 'Time Zone' field.
  16. Click [Submit].
  17. Validate the appointment displays on the calendar from 2:00PM-2:30PM since "Site A" is configured for "US/Eastern" time.

  46. Validate the 'Scheduling Calendar - Status Update' form is displayed for "Client A".
  47. Validate the 'Time Zone' field is displayed and contains "UTC-7 America/Denver (MT)".
  48. Click [Submit].
  49. Validate the 'Scheduling Calendar - Status Update' form is displayed for "Client B".
  50. Validate the 'Time Zone' field is displayed and contains "UTC-7 America/Denver (MT)".
  51. Select "UTC-6 America/Chicago (CT)" in the 'Time Zone' field.
  52. Click [Submit].
  53. Validate the appointment still displays on the calendar at 2:00PM - 2:30PM. The time zone will display strictly based on the 'Appointment Details' for group appointments.
  54. Click [Dismiss].
  55. Access the 'CareFabric Monitor' form.
  56. Enter the current date in the 'From Date' and 'Through Date' fields.
  57. Select "AppointmentUpdated" in the 'Event/Action Search' field.
  58. Click [View Activity Log].
  59. Validate the 'CareFabric Monitor Report' is displayed with an "AppointmentUpdated" record for "Client A" and "Client B".
  60. Click [Click To View Record] for "Client A".

Scenario 1: OE NX - Orders This Episode - New Order - Schedule II - eRX cancel and complete with validation in OrderConnect
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active inpatient episode whose program or unit are configured in the 'External Pharmacy Setup' form. (Client A)
  • "Client A" must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, and the ‘Diagnosis’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select a schedule II order code in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Populate the required fields and click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Final Review].
  4. Validate the 'Interactions' dialog is displayed.
  5. Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
  6. Validate the 'Final Review' dialog is displayed.
  7. Select "eRX" in the 'Output' field.
  8. Check the 'Ready to Sign' checkbox.
  9. Click [Cancel].
  10. Access the 'Home Medications' tab.
  11. Click the 'Prescriber's Queue' link.
  12. Validate OrderConnect is displayed.
