Scenario 1: eMAR - Multiple Specimen Collection in Avatar eMAR with associated non-episodic CWS User modeled forms
Specific Setup:
  • Multiple lab order codes must exist. (Arterial Blood Gases, COVID Rapid, Glucose - Blood)
  • A non-episodic CWS user modeled form must exist in the application for the order codes above. (ABG Details, COVID Details, Blood Glucose)
  • "ABG Details" contains no required observations.
  • "Blood Glucose" contains at least one required observation.
  • An 'Observation Definition' and 'Test Definition' must exist in the 'POC Results Entry Configuration' form for each lab test.
  • "Arterial Blood Gases" that uses the non-episodic CWS user modeled form that was imported to be displayed upon collection and "Yes" selected in the 'Include Form Data as Result Comments' field.
  • "COVID Rapid" that uses the non-episodic CWS user modeled form that was imported to be displayed upon result and "No" selected in the 'Include Form Data as Result Comments' field.
  • "Glucose - Blood" that uses the non-episodic CWS user modeled form that was imported to be displayed upon collection and "Yes" selected in the 'Include Form Data as Result Comments' field.
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select "Glucose - Blood" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Set the 'Duration' field to "10" and click [Days].
  4. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  5. Search for and select "COVID Rapid (Unit performed) (COVIDUNIT)" in the 'New Order' field.
  6. Select "One Time Only" in the 'Frequency' field.
  7. Set the 'Duration' field to "10" and click [Days].
  8. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  9. Search for and select "Arterial Blood Gases (ABG)" in the 'New Order' field.
  10. Set the 'Duration' field to "10" and click [Days].
  11. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  12. Search for and select "Arterial Blood Gases (ABG)" in the 'New Order' field.
  13. Set the 'Duration' field to "10" and click [Days].
  14. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
  15. Validate the 'Order grid' contains two orders for "Arterial Blood Gases", one order for "COVID Rapid (Unit performed)ONE TIME ONLY", and one order for "Glucose - Blood"
  16. Select the 'eMAR' widget.
  17. Click the 'Lab Orders' tab.
  18. Validate that two orders for "Arterial Blood Gases" are displayed with "Specimen Collect" in the first cell under the current date for both orders.
  19. Validate that an order for "COVID Rapid (Unit performed)" is displayed with "Specimen Collect" in the first cell under the current date.
  20. Validate that an order for "Glucose-Blood" is displayed with "Specimen Collect" in the first cell under the current date.
  21. Complete 'Order Acknowledgement' and 'Client Education' for all orders.
  22. Select the first cell under the current date with "Specimen Collect" for each order and click [Administer].
  23. Validate that there are 4 rows on the 'Specimen Collection' tab, one for each order.
  24. Select "Blood for all 4 rows" in the 'Specimen Type' cells.
  25. Select "No" for all 4 rows in the 'Fasting' cells.
  26. Set the 'Collection Volume' cells to "200" for all 4 rows.
  27. Set the 'Collection Volume Units of Measure' cells to "mL" for all 4 rows.
  28. Validate that the 'Specimen Collect' dialog is displayed and that one "ABG Details" tab and a "Blood Glucose" tab is displayed on tabs next to the 'Specimen Collection' tab. These are the non-episodic CWS user modeled form names of the forms associated with these order codes in the 'Test Definition' section of the 'POC Results Entry Configuration' form.
  29. Validate the 'ABG Details' tab contains a green checkmark.
  30. Validate the 'Blood Glucose' tab contains a red flag.
  31. Click the 'ABG Details' tab.
  32. Validate that none of the fields are required.
  33. Select "Left Radial" in the 'Site' field.
  34. Select "Other" in the 'Held for' field.
  35. Set the 'Held for (Other)' field to "1 hour".
  36. Select "1" in the 'Puncture Attempts' field.
  37. Select "Nasal Cannula" in the 'Type of Oxygen Therapy' field.
  38. Set the 'lpm (Nasal Cannula)' field to "2".
  39. Click the 'Blood Glucose' tab.
  40. Validate the 'Date Of Entry' field is required and enabled.
  41. Validate the 'NAME' field is required and enabled.
  42. Validate the the 'Secondary Glucose Entry' field is enabled but not required.
  43. Check the 'Accept specimen collection entered' checkbox and click [Ok].
  44. Validate a message is displayed stating "Missing Required Fields Blood Glucose - Date Of Entry Blood Glucose - NAME" and click [Ok].
  45. Set the 'Date Of Entry' field to "abc" and press Tab.
  46. Validate a message is displayed stating "Invalid date" and click [OK].
  47. Set the 'Date Of Entry' field to the current date.
  48. Set the 'NAME' field to "Client A's last name, Client A's first name" and press Tab.
  49. Set the 'Secondary Glucose Entry' field to "92" and click [Ok].
  50. Validate that the first cell under the current date for each order has the time the specimen was collected.
  51. Right click on the first administration cell for the "Glucose-Blood" order and click [Edit Specimen Collection Event].
  52. Validate the 'Blood Glucose' tab contains a green checkmark.
  53. Click the 'Blood Glucose' tab and validate the 'Date of Entry' field equals the current date, the 'NAME' field equals "Client A's last name, Client A's first name" and the 'Secondary Glucose Entry' field equals "92".
  54. Click [Close].
  55. Go to 'Chart View' for "Client A".
  56. Select "ABG Details" and validate that the 'Current' tab contains "ABG Details Site: Left Radial Held for: Other Held For (Other): 1 hour Puncture Attempts: 1 Type of Oxygen Therapy: Nasal Cannula lpm (Nasal Cannula): 2"
  57. Select "Blood Glucose" and validate that the 'Current' tab contains "Blood Glucose Date Of Entry: {current date} NAME: {Client A's last name, first name} Secondary Glucose Entry: 92".
  58. Close Chart View.
  59. Select "Client A" and access the 'POC Results Entry' form.
  60. Validate that "No" is selected in the 'Include Inactive Orders' field.
  61. Select the "Arterial Blood Gases" order with the largest Order # in the 'Order' field.
  62. Validate that "No" is selected in the 'Include Resulted Collections' field.
  63. Validate the 'Collection' field contains the collection that was done for the "Arterial Blood Gases" order in Avatar eMAR.
  64. Validate that there is a section that contains the name of the associated non-episodic CWS user modeled form. In this case it is "ABG Details".
  65. Validate that all of the same fields that existed on the 'ABG Details' tab in Avatar eMAR are displayed here.

Specific Setup:
  • Have a system with "Avatar Order Entry" installed
  • Have two clients [TestClientA] and [TestClientB], that have appointments scheduled at any "Site" [TestSite] with any practitioner
  • [TestClientA] has a client alert warning set up in form "Client Alerts"
  • [TestClientB] does not have an alert set up
  • Have two clients [TestClientC] and [TestClientD], who are admitted inpatient programs and are both admitted in "Unit" [TestUnit]
  • [TestClientD] has a client alert warning set up in form "Client Alerts"
  • [TestClientE] does not have an alert set up
  • The logged in user has the "My Clients" widget on their home view and the "Orders" console widget as one of their "Views"
Steps
  1. At the home view, click on the "Orders" view
  2. In the "My Clients" widget, click the "Site" tab and select the "Site" button
  3. Search for [TestSite] in the search field
  4. Select [TestClientB] in the client list
  5. Validate the "Client Information" banner refreshes once and reflects information for [TestClientB]
  6. Validate the "Orders This Episode" section refreshes once and reflects information for client [TestClientB]
  7. Now select [TestClientA] in the "Site" tab
  8. Validate the "Client Alert Dialog" is presented to the user. Before accepting the alert:
  9. Validate the "Client Information" banner still reflects information for [TestClientB]

Specific Setup:
  • Guarantors/Payors:
  • An existing guarantor is identified to be used. Note the guarantor's code/name.
  • Service codes:
  • Two existing service code are identified to be used. Note the service codes/descriptions.
  • Service Fee/ Cross Reference Maintenance:
  • A fee definition is created for each service code identified in the 'Service Codes' form. Note the service fee for all the service codes identified.
  • Admission:
  • An existing client is identified, or a new client is admitted. Note client id, admission program, admission date.
  • Financial Eligibility:
  • A guarantor identified in the 'Guarantors/Payors' form is assigned to the client as a primary guarantor.
  • Recurring Client Charge Input:
  • 4-5 services are rendered to the client. Note service date, service code.
  • Client Ledger:
  • All the services distributed correctly to the assigned guarantor.
Steps
  1. Open the 'Spreadsheet Edit Service Information' form.
  2. Select ‘All’ in the 'Individual Or All Practitioners' field.
  3. Select ‘All’ in the 'Individual Or All Programs' field.
  4. Select the client from the setup section in the 'Individual Or All Clients' field.
  5. Enter the date rage to include all three services created in the setup section in the 'Begin Date Of Service' and 'End Date Of Service' fields.
  6. Select "No" in the Only Show Services That Require A Diagnosis Or Are Primary Medical Program Services field.
  7. Select all the options in the 'Only Load Services With This Status' field.
  8. Click [Edit Service Information].
  9. Change the service code in the 'Service Code' column.
  10. Verify the 'Service Code' and 'Cost Of Service' are changed correctly.
  11. Save the grid.
  12. Click [Yes].
  13. Click [OK].
  14. Open the 'Edit Service Information' form.
  15. Select a client and episode.
  16. Select a service to edit.
  17. Select a new service code in the 'Service Code' field that is different from the existing service code.
  18. Verify the service code is updated successfully.
  19. Verify the cost of service updated successfully for the new service code.

Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->Client Profile->->->Hide Duration In OE Console (Orders This Episode) For External Pharmacy Mode' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
  • Two frequency codes must exist:
  • one with administration times at "09:00 AM" and "09:00 PM". (Twice A Day)
  • one that is a "PRN" with no administration times. (As Needed)
  • A client must have an active inpatient episode whose program or unit are configured in the 'External Pharmacy Setup' form.
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
  • For testing purposes this occurred between "09:00 AM" and "09:00 PM".
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select a pharmacy-type order code in the 'New Order' form.
  3. Set the 'Dose' field to any value and validate the 'Dose Unit' field contains "Tablet".
  4. Select "Twice A Day" in the 'Frequency' field.
  5. Validate the 'First Dose Date' field contains the current date and the 'First Dose Time' field contains "09:00 PM".
  6. Validate the 'Duration' field is not displayed
  7. Validate the 'Days Supply' field contains "28".
  8. Validate the 'Dispense Qty' field contains "56" and select "Tablet" in the 'Dispense Qty Unit' field.
  9. Validate the 'Stop Date' and 'Stop Time' fields are populated.
  10. Select "As Needed" in the 'Frequency' field.
  11. Validate the 'Stop Date' and 'Stop Time' fields remain populated.
  12. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  13. Select the order from the 'Scratchpad' and validate the 'Stop Date' and 'Stop Time' fields remain populated.
  14. Click [Cancel Update] and [Final Review].
  15. Validate the 'Interactions' dialog is displayed and override any interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
  16. Validate the 'Final Review' dialog is displayed and click [Sign].
  17. Validate the order is displayed in the 'Order grid'.

  • Have access to a client based form [FormA], that does not include a "Select Client" and "Episodes" fields with the form. For example the "Update Client Data" form. Access the for that does not include a "Select Client" and "Episodes" field within the form
  • Have access to a client based form [FormB], that does include a "Select Client" and "Episodes" fields within the form. For example the "Progress Notes (Group and Individual)" or "Client Ledger" forms
  • Logged in user has the "My Clients" widget and [TestWidget] on their home view
Steps
  1. In the "Search Clients" field on the home view, select [ClientA]
  2. Click the "Episodes" drop down list in the upper right-hand corner of the home view
  3. Validate the "Episodes" selection box displays a row for each of the clients existing episodes
  4. From the "Episodes" dropdown list on the home view, select any episode [EpisodeA]
  5. Validates [TestWidget] reflects the row of data for current selected episode
  6. Open [FormA]
  7. Either close or populate and submit the form.
  8. At the home view:
  9. Validate [ClientA] is still currently selected and highlighted in the "My Clients" widget
  10. Validate the "Episodes" dropdown list still has [EpisodeA] selected
  11. Validate [TestWidget] reflects the client's data for current selected episode
  12. From the "Episodes" dropdown list on the home view, select a different episode. [EpisodeB]

  • Have any form [TestForm] for testing
  • Have four clients [ClientA], [CleintB], [ClientC] and [ClientD]
  • [ClientC] is admitted in the three episodes. [EpisodeA], [EpisodeB] and [EpisodeC]
Steps
  1. Select any client [ClientA]
  2. Launch any form [TestForm]
  3. Populate the form
  4. Submit the form
  5. Quickly while the form is submitting, switch to the home view and select another "View"
  6. Validate the "View" along with widget data in the view, load in a timely manner
  7. Validate the [FormA] has submitted successfully
  8. Quickly after form submission, switch again to any other "View"
  9. Validate the "View" along with widget data in the view, load in a timely manner
  10. Validate [TestForm] has submitted successfully
  11. Quickly after form submission, select another client [ClientB] and select another "View
  12. Validate the "View" along with widget data in the view, load in a timely manner

Specific Setup:
  • Have the "Forms & Data" widget added to logged in users home view
Steps
  1. Navigate to the "Forms and Data" widget and click [Edit] to enter the "Edit My Forms" screen
  2. Right-click and add a folder [FolderA]
  3. In the form search field, search for any form [FormA]
  4. Click [Add Form] button to add it to the "My Forms" list.
  5. Validate the form is added to the list
  6. Drag the form under [FolderA].
  7. Right-click on [FolderA] and delete it.
  8. Validate both the folder and the form are removed from the list
  9. Now search for the same form [FormA]
  10. Click [Add Form] button to add it to the "My Forms" list again
  11. Validate the form is added to the list successfully
  12. Click [Save] to submit the changes and return to the "Forms & Data" widget
  13. At "Forms & Data" widget, click the "Refresh" button across from the 'Browse Forms" menu
  14. Validate [FormA] is present in the "Forms & Data" widget list, as expected
  15. Navigate to the "Forms and Data", click [Edit] to enter the "Edit My Forms" screen again
  16. In "Edit My Forms" screen, right-click and add a folder [FolderB]
  17. In the form search field search for any form [FormB] and click [Add Form] button to add it to the "My Forms" list.
  18. Validate the form is in the list
  19. Drag the form into the [FolderB].
  20. Click [Save] to submit the changes and return to the "Forms & Data" widget
  21. At "Forms & Data" widget, click the "Refresh" button across from the "Browse Forms" menu
  22. Validate [FolderB] is present with [FormB] under it in the list, as expected.
  23. Click [Edit] to enter the "Edit My Forms" screen again
  24. Search for [FormB] again and click [Add Form]
  25. Validate you get an error that [FormB] is already added to the list.

Scenario 1: Spreadsheet Remittance Posting - Sort Columns
Specific Setup:
  • Client A:
  • Identify a client with unpaid claimed services, that are for more than one service code. Note the episode.
  • Use 'Client Ledger' note the date range of services, claims number(s), and the guarantor that liability distributed to.
Steps
  1. Open ‘Spreadsheet Remittance Posting’.
  2. Select the ‘Client’.
  3. Select desired value in ‘Post By Claim or Episode’. Based on the selection above different required fields will display.
  4. Enter desired data in all required fields.
  5. Enter desired data in non-required fields.
  6. Click [Launch Work Screen].
  7. Double click on the 'Payment Amount' column to sort the columns. Verify the results.
  8. Repeat double clicking on the 'Payment Amount' column to sort the columns. Verify the results.
  9. Sort other columns as desired. Verify the results.
  10. Right click on columns as desired. Verify the results.
  11. Select a ‘Payment Code’ without entering a ‘Payment Amount’. Validate that the ‘Payment Amount’ field becomes outlined in red to indicate it is required.
  12. Select a ‘Adjust Code’ without entering a ‘Adjust Amount’. Validate that the ‘Adjust Amount’ field becomes outlined in red to indicate it is required.
  13. Select a ‘Transfer Code’ or ‘Transfer Guar’ without entering a ‘Transfer Amount’. Validate that the ‘Transfer Amount’ field becomes outlined in red to indicate it is required.
  14. Add payments, adjustments, and transfers with transfer guarantors.
  15. Validate that double clicking on the following columns sorts the data: ‘Service Codes’, ‘Current Balance’, ‘Payment Amount’, ‘Payment Code’, ‘Adjust Amount’, ‘Adjust Code’, ‘Transfer Amount’, ‘Transfer Code’, ‘ Transfer Guar’, and ‘New Balance’.
  16. Highlight one field in a column that is not ‘Service Date’ or ‘Service Code’. Note the ‘Service Code’ associated to the row.
  17. Highlight several service codes that includes services codes that are the same as the one associated to the row and service codes that are not associated to the row.
  18. Validate that the services codes that remain highlighted are only the service code that is associated to the row.
  19. Click [Accept].
  20. Click [Submit].
  21. Validate that receipt report opens and contains the correct payment information.
  22. Close the form.
  23. Open ‘Client Ledger’ and process the report the date range of services.
  24. Validate that the payments, adjustments, and transfers display correctly, and that the transfers display the correct transfer guarantor.
  25. Close the report.
