RADplus Client Update 3188-002 Acceptance Tests


Administering a Medication.
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Avatar eMAR
  • Order Entry Console
Scenario 1: eMAR - Administer an order - 'Retain Qty/Unit if Med ID does not start with a numeral' = Y
Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Enable Medication And Quantity Checking' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Retain Qty/Unit if Med ID does not start with a numeral' registry setting must be set to "Y"
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Time Format Displayed in Avatar eMAR' registry setting must be set to "2".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Support Medication ID' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • Please log out and log back in after configuring the above.
  • A client must have a pharmacy type order (Order A) ready to be administered in Avatar eMAR with no scheduled hours of administration. (Client A)
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'eMAR' widget.
  2. Validate that "Order A" is displayed and contains now hours of administration under the current date.
  3. Double click on any cell under the current date.
  4. Set the 'Med ID' cell to "N/A".
  5. Validate the 'Qty' field remains populated with the same value.
  6. Validate the 'Unit' field remains populated with the same value.
  7. Set the 'Administration Event' field to any successful administration event.
  8. Click the [Warning - View] button.
  9. Override all warnings and click [OK]
  10. Check the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
  11. Validate the cell selected contains the 'Quantity' and 'Unit' of the administered order with the current time.
Scenario 2: Avatar eMAR - Administer a pharmacy-type order when 'Support Med ID' = "N".
Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Enable Medication And Quantity Checking' registry setting must be set to "0".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Support Medication ID' registry setting is set to "N".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Time Format Displayed in Avatar eMAR' registry setting must be set to "2".
  • Please log out and log back in after configuring the above.
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Set the 'New Order' field to "PRILOSEC (OMEPRAZOLE) 10 MG CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE ORAL".
  3. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  4. Select "Capsule" in the 'Dose Unit' field.
  5. Select any value in the 'Freq' field with hours of administration. (ex. Twice A Day, which has administration times of 09:00 AM and 09:00 PM)
  6. Set the 'Duration' to "28" and click [Days].
  7. Validate the 'Start Date' field contains the current date.
  8. Set the 'Start Date' field to "0000" and press Tab.
  9. Validate the 'Start Date' field contains "12:00 AM".
  10. Validate the 'Start Time' field contains the current time.
  11. Validate the 'Stop Date' field contains a date that is 28 days in the future of the 'Start Date'.
  12. Validate the 'Stop Time' field contains a time that is one minute prior to the 'Start Time'.
  13. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
  14. Validate the 'Order grid' contain an order for "PRILOSEC (OMEPRAZOLE) 10 MG CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE ORAL".
  15. Select the "eMAR" widget.
  16. Validate an order for "PRILOSEC (OMEPRAZOLE) 10 MG CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE ORAL)" is displayed with a "0900" and a "2100" cell under the current date.
  17. Double click the "0900" cell.
  18. Validate that the 'Order Acknowledgement' dialog is displayed and click [OK].
  19. Validate that the 'Client Education' dialog is displayed.
  20. Select "Yes" in the 'Education Performed' field and click [OK].
  21. Validate that the 'Administration Event' dialog is displayed.
  22. Validate the 'Scheduled Date' field contains the current date.
  23. Validate the 'Scheduled Time' field contains "0900".
  24. Validate that the 'Med ID' field is not displayed.
  25. Validate the 'Qty' field contains "1".
  26. Validate the 'Unit' field contains "Capsule".
  27. Select any successful administration value in the 'Administration Event' field.
  28. Validate that there is a red flag in [Warning - View].
  29. Click [Warning -View] and validate that an 'Administration Date/Time' tab is displayed and contains: "This Administration Event is occurring outside the allowable administration window of 60 minutes for "PRILOSEC (OMEPRAZOLE)".
  30. Enter any value in the 'Override Text' field and click [OK].
  31. Check the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
  32. Validate that the first cell under the current date contains the amount administered and the time administered in military format.

'Witness' field in 'Avatar eMAR' when 'Enterprise ID' is enabled

Scenario 1: Avatar eMAR - Witnessed by user
Specific Setup:
  • Avatar eMAR 2021 Update 6 and RADplus Client Update 2353-009 are required in order to utilize full functionality.
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Require Witness Password' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • Two users must exist, both configured as non-EID users. (User A) (User B)
  • Please log out and log back in after completing the configuration above.
  • A client must have an active inpatient episode whose program or unit are configured in the 'External Pharmacy Setup' form. (Client A)
  • Client A must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and 'Address' on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select “Client A” and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Set the 'New Order' field to "LISINOPRIL 20 MG ORAL Tablet".
  3. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  4. Validate the 'Dose Unit' field contains "Tablet".
  5. Select "EVERY DAY" from the 'Freq' field.
  6. Set the 'Duration' field to "28" and click [Days].
  7. Validate the 'Dispense Qty' field contains "28".
  8. Select "Tablet" from the 'Dispense Qty Unit' field.
  9. Click [Add to Scratchpad], [Final Review], and [Sign].
  10. Validate the 'Order Grid' contains an order for "LISINOPRIL 20 MG ORAL Tablet".
  11. Access 'Avatar eMAR' for "Client A".
  12. Double click on a cell for the current date to administer a medication.
  13. Click the 'Witnessed' checkbox.
  14. Populate the 'Med ID' field with any value
  15. Select a successful administration event from the 'Administration Event' field.
  16. Set the 'Witnessed By' field to a user that is not logged in. (User B)
  17. Set the 'Password' field to the password for the user in the 'Witnessed By' field.
  18. Click the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
  19. Validate that the first cell under the current date contains the amount administered and the time administered.
Scenario 2: Avatar eMAR - Witnessed by EID user
Specific Setup:
  • Avatar eMAR 2021 Update 6 and RADplus Client Update 2353-009 are required in order to utilize full functionality.
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Require Witness Password' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • Two users must exist, one is configured as a non-EID user and one is configured as an EID user. (User A) (User B)
  • User description needs to be different from the UserID for the EID user.
  • Please log out and log back in after completing the configuration above.
  • A client must have an active inpatient episode whose program or unit are configured in the 'External Pharmacy Setup' form. (Client A)
  • Client A must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and 'Address' on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.

  11. Access 'Avatar eMAR' for "Client A".
  12. Validate that an order for "LISINOPRIL 20 MG ORAL Tablet" is displayed and does not contain any hours of administration under the current date.
  13. Double click on a cell for "Order A" that is ready to be administered.
  14. Click the 'Witnessed' checkbox.
  15. Set the 'Med ID' cell to the NDC of the medication being administered.
  16. Select a successful administration event from the 'Administration Event' field.
  17. Set the 'Witnessed By' field to an EID user that is not currently logged in. (User B)
  18. Validate the 'Password' field contains an [Enter Enterprise Credentials] button.
  19. Click [Enter Enterprise Credentials].
  20. Login to the 'External Provider Login' dialog.
  21. Validate the 'Password' field is populated and disabled.
  22. Click the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
  23. Validate that the first cell under the current date contains the amount administered and the time administered in military format.

  14. Click the 'Witnessed' checkbox.

  13. Double click on a cell for the current date to administer a medication.
  14. Click the 'Witnessed' checkbox.
  15. Set the 'Med ID' cell to the NDC of the medication being administered.
  16. Select a successful administration event from the 'Administration Event' field.
  17. Set the 'Witnessed By' field to an EID user that is not currently logged in. (User B)
  18. Validate the [Enter Enterprise Credentials] button does not exist.
  19. Click the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
  20. Validate that the first cell under the current date contains the 'Qty' and 'Unit' administered and the administration time in military format.
Scenario 4: Avatar eMAR - Witnessed by user - 'Require Witness Password' set to "N"
Specific Setup:

  14. Click the 'Witnessed' checkbox.
  15. Populate the 'Med ID' field with the NDC of the medication being administered.
  16. Select a successful administration event from the 'Administration Event' field.
  17. Set the 'Witnessed By' field to a user that is not logged in. (User B)
  18. Validate the 'Password' field does not exist.
  19. Click the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
  20. Validate that the first cell under the current date contains the 'Qty' and 'Unit' administered and the administration time in military format.

My Calendar Widget
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • HomeView.My Calendar
Scenario 1: 'My Calendar' widget - workflow
Specific Setup:
  • 'My Calendar' widget is on the HomeView.
  • A client must be defined with at least one active episode(Client A)
Steps
  1. Open form "Scheduling Calendar"
  2. Right-click on any available time slot
  3. Click the [Add Appointment] button
  4. Populate the "Service Code" field
  5. Set the "Client" to "Client A"
  6. Set the episode from "Episode Number" drop down list
  7. Select the desired program from the "Program" drop down list
  8. Click the [Submit] button
  9. Validate the "Appointment Grid" table contains the appointment just created
  10. Click to the home view
  11. Click the 'Refresh' button in the "My Calendar" widget
  12. Validate the appointment created in the previous steps is displayed
  13. In the "Scheduling Calendar" form, right click on the appointment just created
  14. Click 'Check In'
  15. Validate an Information message is displayed stating: Invalid or no 'Pre Payment Service Code' defined in the registry. All payments must be filed at check-out  . (Please Note: This message only displays when the registry setting “Include No Default Service Code Warning” is set to “Y” and registry setting “Pre Payment Service Code” is set with no service code or an invalid service code)
  16. Click [OK]
  17. Click [Submit]
  18. Validate the appointment in the appointment grid contains a green check mark indicating the appointment is checked in
  19. Click to the home view
  20. Click the 'Refresh' button in the "My Calendar" widget
  21. Validate the appointment in the appointment grid contains a green check mark indicating the appointment is checked in
  22. In the "Scheduling Calendar" form, right click on the appointment just checked in
  23. Click the 'Check Out'
  24. Click [Submit]
  25. Validate the appointment in the appointment grid contains a green up arrow indicating the appointment has been checked out
  26. Close the form
  27. Click the 'Refresh' button in the "My Calendar" widget
  28. Validate the appointment in the appointment grid contains a green up arrow indicating the appointment has been checked out
