Scenario 1: 'Patient Health Profile' - Problem grid validations
Specific Setup:
  • A "Patient Health Profile" web service (WEBSVC.PHPData) has been submitted for "ClientA"
Steps
  1. Open the 'Patient Health Profile' for the client selected in the pre-conditions.
  2. Select "Client A"
  3. Validate the "Problem" [ProblemA] imported via 'Patient Health Profile" web service is present in the "Problems" grid
  4. Double Click In the "Verification" column in the grid
  5. Select "Verified"
  6. Click [Add To Problem List].
  7. In the "Problem" field enter another problem [ProblemB] and in the "Status" field, select "Active
  8. Click [Save].
  9. Click [Submit].
  10. Validate the form files successfully
  11. Open the "Problem List" form
  12. Select ClientA
  13. Click [View Problems]
  14. In the "Client Problem" list report
  15. Validate [ProblemA] is present on the report, as expected
  16. Validate [ProblemB] is present in the report, as expected

Specific Setup:
  • Have three clients [ClientA], [ClientB] and [ClientC] that do not have a client picture on file yet in the system
  • Have three images, [ImageA], [ImageB] and [ImageC] available for import
Steps
  1. Open form "Import Client Picture"
  2. In the "Client Search" field, select [ClientA]
  3. Validate the "Picture" field is blank
  4. Click the [Acquire Image] button
  5. Navigate to the location of the [ImageA] and select the file
  6. Validate the "Picture" field contains is populated with [ImageA]
  7. Click the [Submit] button
  8. Click the [Yes] button to return to the form
  9. In the "Client Search" field, select [ClientA]
  10. Validate the "Picture" field contains is populated with [ImageA]
  11. Close the form
  12. Re-open form "Import Client Picture"

  • Have prompt "Signature Timeout (In seconds)" set to desired number of seconds. [ValueA]
  • Have a form [FormA] that includes a "Signature" field
Steps
  1. Open [FormA]
  2. Navigate to the "Signature" prompt
  3. Click [Get Signature]
  4. Validate the signature box is displayed
  5. Without entering a signature or clicking any buttons, wait the number of seconds [ValueA] set as the timeout in the set up
  6. Validate the popup signature box does not close before the time limit
  7. Validate the popup signature box closes after the time limit is reached, as expected
  8. Click [Get Signature] again
  9. Enter a signature before the time limit is reached
  10. Validate the signature is populated as expected
  11. Submit the form
  12. Return to [FormA]
  13. Select the row just submitted in step 1
  14. Validate the "Signature" field is populated as expected

Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • "Client A" must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Select the 'Home Medications' tab.
  3. Click [Change] and validate the 'Pharmacy Search' dialog appears.
  4. Set the 'Search Within' field to "All" and click [Search], choose a pharmacy and then click [Select & Make Preferred].
  5. Validate the chosen pharmacy is listed above the 'Order grid'.
  6. Validate the ‘Reported’ checkbox is checked.
  7. Search for and select "predniSONE 5 MG Tablet Oral" in the 'New Order' field.
  8. Set the ‘Dose’ field to "5".
  9. Validate the 'Dose Unit' field defaults to "Tablet".

Scenario 2: OE NX - Orders This Episode - My Favorites - Create an order with a 'Frequency Code' of "PRN" with a 'Default Duration (Doses)'.
Specific Setup:
  • Two frequency codes must exist. One that has administration hours of "09:00 AM", "03:00 PM", and "09:00 PM" (3 TIMES A DAY) and one that has a 'Routine or PRN (AS Needed)' equal to "PRN" and no administration hours. (AS NEEDED).
  • A pharmacy-type order code must have a 'Default Duration (Doses)' of "10" and must have "Yes" selected in the 'Allow Open-Ended Orders' field. (Order Code A)
  • A client must have an active inpatient episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Validate that the 'New Order' field, 'Order Type Search Filter' field, the [My Favorites - Star], and the 'My Favorites' link are displayed.
  3. Click 'My Favorites'
  4. Validate the 'Favorites' dialog is displayed.
  5. Search for and select "CEFACLOR 250 MG CAPSULE ORAL" in the 'Order Search' field and click [Add to Favorites].
  6. Validate that "CEFACLOR 250 MG CAPSULE ORAL" is displayed in the list of 'Favorites'.
  7. Check the 'Select' checkbox for the "CEFACLOR 250 MG CAPSULE ORAL" order and click [Add to Scratchpad].

  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select “Client A” and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Select the ‘Admission Medication Reconciliation’ tab.
  3. Create a Taper/Titrate order with at least 2 steps.
  4. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  5. Select the second step from the 'Scratchpad'.
  6. Click [Custom] next to the 'Frequency' field.
  7. Verify the 'Custom Administration' dialog is displayed.
  8. Set the first 'Scheduled Administration Time' field to "0900" and press Tab.
  9. Set the second 'Scheduled Administration Time' field to "0900" and press Tab.
  10. Validate a error message is displayed containing 'Administration times cannot be repeated'.

Scenario 2: OE NX - Orders This Episode - Taper/Titration - 24-hr - Custom Administration Time
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active episode whose program and unit are not configured in the 'External Pharmacy Setup' form. (Client A).
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select “Client A” and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Create a Taper/Titrate order with 3 steps for a pharmacy-type order code each for 7 days.
  3. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  4. Select the second step from the 'Scratchpad'.
  5. Click [Custom] next to the 'Frequency' field.
  6. Verify the 'Custom Administration' dialog is displayed.
  7. Set the first 'Scheduled Administration Time' field to "0900" and press Tab.
  8. Set the second 'Scheduled Administration Time' field to "0900" and press Tab.
  9. Validate a error message is displayed containing 'Administration times cannot be repeated'.
  10. Click [Ok] and click [Save].

Specific Setup:
  • Client record with one or more CMS 1500 (Professional) claim(s)/service(s) for adjudication (or eligible for claim/service entry)
Steps
  1. Open Avatar MSO 'Claim Processing (CMS 1500)' form.
  2. Note - Acceptance testing may also be confirmed via 'Manual Batch Adjudication' form, as well as 'Close Batch' form/function service adjudication
  3. Select claims processing batch for service entry/edit.
  4. Open existing claim for adjudication or create new claim for service entry/edit.
  5. Set value for 'Member Name or ID' and 'Provider' in claim level section (if adding new claim/services).
  6. Navigate to 'Service Detail' section of form.
  7. Click 'Add New Item' button (or select existing service and click 'Edit Selected Item' button).
  8. Enter/select 'Date of Service', 'Procedure Code', 'Total Charge' and 'Service Units' field values.
  9. Click 'Display Valid Authorizations' button and select Service Authorization (or directly enter value in 'Authorization Number' field).
  10. Enter/select values for any other required/desired fields in form.
  11. Ensure that 'Claim Status' and 'Explanation Of Coverage' field values are set by system according to claim/service information entered or updated (and adjudication configuration/setup present for Avatar MSO system).
  12. Click 'Add New Item' button to enter additional service(s) (or select additional existing service and click 'Edit Selected Item' button to update/adjudicate additional service(s)).
  13. Click 'Submit' button to file 'Claim Processing (CMS 1500)' form and claim/service(s).
  14. Ensure that on re-opening same claim/service in 'Claim Processing (CMS 1500)' form, field values entered/selected are present for claim/service information fields.
Scenario 2: 'Practitioner Numbers by Guarantor and Program' - Edit Practitioner Numbers
Specific Setup:
  • The registry setting "Enable New Practitioner Numbers By Guarantor and Program Form" is configured to "Y".
Steps
  1. Access the form 'Practitioner Numbers By Guarantor and Program'
  2. Select the 'Edit Practitioner Numbers' tab.
  3. Select any value in the 'Practitioner' field.
  4. Select any value in the required 'Guarantor ID' field.
  5. Select any value in the required 'Program' field.
  6. Select any value in the 'Record Selection' field.
  7. Click [Launch Workscreen].
  8. Select any row in the 'Practitioner Numbers By Guarantor and Program' table.
  9. Click [View].
  10. Select any field from the table and enter data (ex. NPI Number, Taxonomy Code).
  11. Click [Save].
  12. Validate that an 'Exit Grid' message is displayed stating "Save Successful".
  13. Click [Ok].
  14. Click [Save].
  15. Validate that an 'Exit Grid' message is displayed stating "Save Successful".

Scenario 1: Med ID field is not required for non pharmacy type orders
Specific Setup:
  • An order (Order A) must be placed for any client (Client A) that falls under the 'All Other Order Types' tab in Avatar eMAR
Steps
  1. Access 'Avatar eMAR' for Client A.
  2. Click the 'All Other Order Types' tab.
  3. Double click a cell in the Administration grid for Order A.
  4. Set the 'Qty' cell to "1".
  5. Set the 'Unit' cell to "Hr".
  6. Set the 'Administration Event' field to any successful administration event.
  7. Click the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox.
  8. Click [OK].
  9. Validate the selected cell in the Administration Grid displays 1 Hr and the current time.
Scenario 2: Suppressing Administration times in eMAR - Order Code Setup
Specific Setup:
  • A pharmacy-type order code must have "50" in the 'Suppress eMAR Tasks if More Frequent than Every N Minutes' field.(Order Code A)
  • An interval 'Frequency code' of "Every 45 Minutes" must exist.
  • A client must have an active order using Order Code A that has a frequency of "Every 45 Minutes". (Client A) (Order A)
  • Order Acknowledgement and Client education must be completed on this order.
Steps
  1. Access 'Avatar eMAR' and select "Client A" in the 'Client' field.
  2. Remain on the 'Medications' tab.
  3. Validate that Order A is displayed with no administration times.
  4. Right click in the 'Order Description' section for that order.
  5. Validate that the 'Administration Record - Hours of Administration' dialog is displayed.
  6. Validate that 'Administration Time(s)' contains "(Not Specified)".
  7. Click [Ok].
Scenario 3: Incremental Barcode Scanning - Strict match on the 'Micromedex Composite Generic ID'
Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->General->->->Use Netsmart Cloud-hosted Micromedex data' registry setting must be set to "N".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Enable Incremental Scanning/Defaulting Medication Quantity' registry setting must be set to "2".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Enable Medication And Quantity Checking' registry setting must be set to "3"
  • A client must have an active episode with two active orders for the same drug but with different strengths and the same 'Route' and 'Dosage Form':
  • AMBIEN 10 MG TABLET ORAL (Schedule IV) 1 Tablet EVERY DAY with an administration time within 60 minutes of the current time
  • AMBIEN 5 MG TABLET ORAL (Schedule IV) 1 Tablet EVERY DAY with an Administration time within 60 minutes of the current time
  • Both order must have Order Acknowledgment and Client Education completed.
  • Must have a barcode for "AMBIEN 10 MG TABLET ORAL (Schedule IV)"
Steps
  1. Access 'Avatar eMAR' and select "Client A" in the 'Client' field.
  2. Validate both AMBIEN orders are displayed.
  3. Scan the barcode for "AMBIEN 10 MG TABLET ORAL (Schedule IV)".
  4. Validate a cell for the current administration window is selected with "1/1 Tablet" for the 10 MG order.
  5. Scan the barcode for "AMBIEN 5 MG TABLET ORAL (Schedule IV)".
  6. Validate a cell for the current administration window is selected with "1/1 Tablet" for the 5 MG order.
  7. Click [Administer].
  8. Populate the required fields and click [OK].
