Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

Scenario 1: Avatar eMAR - Lines/Tubes/Drains/Devices - Infusions enabled
Specific Setup:
- Avatar CareFabric 2022 Update 20, Avatar CWS 2022 Update 28, Avatar eMAR 2022 Update 15, Avatar OE 2022 Update 14 and, a myAvatar Client Update or Upgrade are required in order to utilize full functionality.
- The ‘(22100) Applicable CareFabric LTDD Types’ extended attribute must be set to the appropriate 'Lines/Tubes/Drains/Devices' in the Order Entry Tabled Files ‘(10181) Route of Administration’ dictionary for “Intravenous”.
- LTDD Flowsheet CarePOV must be configured
- A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
- “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the 'Flowsheet'.
- Click the 'LTDD' tab.
- Add a 'Line/Tube/Drain/Device'
- Access the Order Entry Console.
- Create an Intravenous Order (Order A).
- Access the 'eMAR' widget.
- Perform 'Client Education' and 'Order Acknowledgement' on "Order A".
- Double click any administration cell for "Order A".
- Populate the required fields and select the 'Line/Tube/Drain/Device' created in Flowsheet.
- File the administration and validate the selected cell contains the appropriate administration information.
Scenario 2: Avatar eMAR - Lines/Tubes/Drains/Devices - Infusions disabled
Specific Setup:

Scenario 1: Validate 'Taper/Titrate' orders default to 'Minutes' and 'Days'.
Specific Setup:
- A client ("Client A"), must have data on file in the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form and in the 'Diagnosis' form.
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the 'Order Entry Console'.
- Search for any medication in the 'New Order' field. Ex: "PRILOSEC (26433) 10 MG CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE ORAL".
- Click [Taper/Titrate].
- Validate the 'Taper/Titrate' dialog contains the order "PRILOSEC(10 MG) CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE (Capsule) ORAL"
- Validate 'Calendar' is selected in the 'Start/Stop time' field.
- Set the 'Dose' field to any numeric value.
- Validate the 'Dose Unit' defaults to the selected medication dose unit, ex: Capsule.
- Select any value from the 'Days' field drop down list, from 1-30.
- Select any value from the 'Freq' field drop down list.
- Click [Add Step].
- Continue adding steps to the 'Taper/Titrate' order as needed.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad].
- Click the first order in the 'Scratchpad'.
- Validate the 'Duration' field contains the number of 'Minutes' left in the days for that order.
- Click [Update Order].
- Click the second order in the 'Scratchpad'.
- Validate the 'Duration' field contains the number of 'Days' for the order.
- Click [Update Order].
- Continue to click on each order in the 'Scratchpad' and validate that the 'Duration' is defaulted to 'Days' for each subsequent order.
- Click [Sign].
- Override all interactions.
- Click [Save Override and Exit].
- Validate the 'Order Grid' contains all orders entered in the 'Taper/Titrate' order.

Avatar eMAR - Specimen Collection

Scenario 1: Specimen Site Tree - Orders This Episode and eMAR
Specific Setup:
- The 'Avatar CWS->CWS Utilities->Specimen->->->Enable Specimen Site Selection Tree' registry setting must be set to "Y".
- A 'Specimen Site Tree Definition' must be filed for a 'Specimen Type' "Urine"
- A lab-type order code must be configured to have a 'Specimen Type' of "Urine" and an external lab vendor. (Order Code A)
- The following extended attributes must be set in the 'Order Entry Client Information' "(10245) Specimen Type" dictionary for "Urine"
- '(10253) Specimen Site' - Required
- '(10244) Specimen Collection' - Lab Vendor Staff Will Collect
- '(10245) Specimen Site -eMAR' - Disabled
- '(10255) Disable Specimen Site if Included in Order' - Yes
- Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
- A client must have an active inpatient episode (Client A).
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Search for and select "Order Code A" and validate the 'Specimen Type' field contains "Urine".
- Click [Specimen Site], define a 'Specimen Site', and create the order.
- Access the 'eMAR' widget for "Client A".
- Click the 'Lab Orders' tab and validate "Order A" displays.
- Double click the 'Specimen Collect' cell and validate the 'Specimen Type' and 'Collection Site' fields are populated with the values selected at order entry and disabled.
Note: Whenever orders are placed with a 'Specimen Type' or 'Collection Site' the respective fields will be disabled in 'eMAR'. - Populate any other desired fields, click the 'Accept specimen collection entered' checkbox, and click [OK].
- Validate the selected cell displays with the specimen collection time.

Scenario 1: OE NX - Create Lab order, enter results, and view in Lab Results
Specific Setup:
- A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
- "Client A" must have several hundred lab results filed.
- "Client A" must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
- Select “Client A” and access the Order Entry Console.
- Search for and select a lab-type order code from the 'New Order' field.
- Populate all required fields then click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
- Access the 'Results Entry' form.
- Select "Add" in the 'Add/Edit/Delete Result' field.
- Click [Select Order].
- Validate the 'Order Entry Client Profile Order List/Selection' dialog is displayed and the first row contains the Lab order for the current date.
- Select the Lab order and click [OK].
- Populate all required fields and click [File Header].
- Validate a message is displayed stating: "Header information filed." and click [OK].
- Select the 'Result Details' tab.
- Select "Add" in the 'Add/Edit/Delete Result Detail' field.
- Validate the 'Header' field contains the filed Header info.
- Validate the 'Order' field contains the Lab order associated with the selected header.
- Click [Select Header].
- Validate the 'Select Result' dialog is displayed and contains the Lab order for the current date.
- Select the Lab order and click [OK].
- Populate all required fields and click [File Header].
- Validate a message is displayed stating: "Detail information filed." and click [OK].
- Close the form.
- Select the 'Orders' tab.
- Click [View Lab Results].
- Set the 'Start Date' field to the beginning of the month.
- Validate the 'Lab Results' dialog is displayed and contains the 'Header' and 'Result Details' information for the Lab order.
- Validate all fonts are consistent, and all rows are loaded with data, throughout the 'Lab Results' dialog.
- Click [Close].

Progress Notes warning message for multiple open routing forms.
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

Scenario 1: Progress Note warning message when routing a progress note.
Specific Setup:
- Need two copies of a progress notes form ('Progress Notes Group and Individual 1' and 'Progress Notes Group and Individual 2').
- Both copies of the progress notes must have 'Document Routing' enabled.
Steps
- For any client, complete a note in the first progress note form and flag it as 'Final'. Click [File Note].
- Leave the 'Document Routing' screen displayed, do not enter any responses.
- Open the second progress note form, complete a note, and flag it as 'Final'. Click [File Note].
- A message will display: "The Document Routing approval screen is already open."
- Click [OK].
- Return to the open 'Document Routing' screen for the first note.
- Complete the routing request.
- Return to the second note, and click [File Note].
- The 'Document Routing' screen will display without error.

- Click [Change] and validate the 'Pharmacy Search' dialog appears.
- Set the 'Search Within' field to "All" and click [Search], choose a pharmacy and then click [Select & Make Preferred].
- Validate the chosen pharmacy is listed above the 'Order grid'.
- Validate the ‘Reported’ checkbox is checked.
- Search for and select "predniSONE 5 MG Tablet Oral" in the 'New Order' field.
- Set the ‘Dose’ field to "5".
- Validate the 'Dose Unit' field defaults to "Tablet".
- Select "Milligram" from the 'Dose Unit' field.
- Select "TWICE A DAY" from the ‘Frequency’ field.

- Define at least one additional Avatar user(s) to be document approvers for Ambulatory Progress Notes for the purpose of document routing.
Steps
- Open "Document Routing Setup" form.
- Select a Progress Note form.
- Set "Enable Document routing" field to "Yes".
- Set "Allow Comments During Approval" to "Yes".
- Click "Submit" to file the data.
- Open the Progress Note form.
- File the form in draft mode.
- Retrieve the drafted form.
- Finalize the form by setting the "Draft/Final" field to "Final".
- Submit the form.
- Click "Accept".
- Provide the password.
- When prompted, provide the "Approval Comments".
- Open the "Clinical Document Viewer" form.
- Locate and view the document that was just filed.
- Validate that the document includes the authors Approval Comments in the signature area of the document.
- Open the "System Management Portal".
- Using SQL, execute the following query: SELECT * from DocR.comments
- Validate that a row has been added for each "Approval Comment" entered.
- Open the Progress Note form.
- Finalize the form by setting the "Draft/Final" field to "Final".
- Submit the form.
- Click "Accept and Route".
- Provide the password.
- Select the approver(s).
- To Do's are sent to the approver(s).
- Sign on to Avatar as the first approver.
- Select the To Do to Approve Document from the All Tab of the "My To Do" widget.
- Click "Accept" to approve the form.
- Enter the "Approval Comments".
- If there are additional approvers, log onto Avatar as the additional approver.
- Select the To Do to Approve Document from the All Tab of the "My To Do" widget.
- Click "Accept" to approve the form.
- Enter the "Approval Comments" for this approver.
- Open the "Clinical Document Viewer" form.
- Locate and view the document that was just filed.
- Validate that the document includes the approver(s) Approval Comments in the signature area of the document.
- Open the "System Management Portal".

- Select the To Do to Accept the document from the SignTab of the "My To Do" widget.
- Click "Accept" to approve the form.
- Enter the "Approval Comments" for this approver.
- Click "Sign All" to sign the document.
- Open the "Clinical Document Viewer" form.
- Locate and view the document that was just filed.
- Validate that the document includes the approver(s) Approval Comments in the signature area of the document.
- Open the "System Management Portal".
- Using SQL, execute the following query: SELECT * from DocR.comments
- Validate that a row has been added for each "Approval Comment" entered.
Scenario 2: Approving Progress Notes (Group and Individual) - Approval Comments
Specific Setup:
- Define at least one additional Avatar user(s) to be document approvers for Progress Notes(Group and Individual) for the purpose of document routing.
Steps
- Open "Document Routing Setup" form.
- Select a Progress Note form.
- Set "Enable Document routing" field to "Yes".
- Set "Allow Comments During Approval" to "Yes".
- Click "Submit" to file the data.
- Open the Progress Note form.
- File the form in draft mode.
- Retrieve the drafted form.
- Finalize the form by setting the "Draft/Final" field to "Final".
- Submit the form.
- Click "Accept".
- Provide the password.
- When prompted, provide the "Approval Comments".
- Open the "Clinical Document Viewer" form.
- Locate and view the document that was just filed.

- Select “cefTRIAXone 1 GM INJECTION Powder for Solution” from 'Home Medications Scratchpad (Post-Discharge)'.
- Click [Reorder/Modify].

Scenario 1: OE NX - Orders This Episode - Order group - One Of Each Order Type - Without NADEAN Required Order
Specific Setup:
- Avatar OE 2022 Update 64 is required in order to utilize full functionality.
- An order group with a large number of orders, all of which have a defaulted frequency, configured through the 'Order Group Setup' form, must exist. (Order Group A)
- A client must have an inpatient episode whose program or unit are configured in the ‘External Pharmacy Setup’ form. (Client A)
- “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- In the 'New Order' field search for and select "Order Group A".
- Click [Select All].
- Validate all orders in the order group are checked and the order details are shown.
- Validate that the defaulted information, for all orders, is displayed correctly.

Scheduling Calendar - Appointments

Scenario 1: Scheduling Calendar - Validate display of staff members and appointments when toggling between dates in the calendar
Specific Setup:
- Have a staff member [StaffA], who's staff member hours set up in form “Staff Members Hours and Exceptions”, to have an effective "End Date" prior to the current date [DateA]
- Have another staff member [StaffB], who's staff member hours set up in form “Staff Members Hours and Exceptions”, to have an effective "End Date" that is greater or equal to the current date
Steps
- Open form "Scheduling Calendar"
- Validate the scheduling calendar date defaults to the current date and is highlighted on the calendar
- Validate [StaffA] is not listed in the "Staff Members" list, as expected since effective date [DateA] noted in the setup, is prior to today's date
- Validate [StaffB] is listed in the "Staff Members" list and is checked, as expected
- Create an appointment for [StaffB], for today [DateB]
- Validate the appointment is added to the calendar
- Locate the "Left" and "Right" arrows located under the "Staff Members" list
- In the "View" field located above the "Forward" and "Back" arrows, select the "Day" radio button
- Click the "Left" arrow to move the date back till the day reaches the effective end date [DateA] for [StaffA], noted in the set up
- Validate [StaffA] is now displayed in the "Staff Members" list and is checked
- Click the check box next to their name
- Create an appointment for [StaffA] for [DateA]
- Validate the appointment is added to the calendar
- Click the "Right" arrow to move the date forward till the current date [DateB], is reached
- Validate [StaffB] is still listed in the "Staff Members" list and is checked
- Validate the appointment for [StaffB] is still displayed on the calendar for the current date
- Click the "Back" arrow again till the day on the calendar reaches the effective end date [DateA] for [StaffA]
- Validate [StaffA] is still listed in the "Staff Members" list and is checked
- Validate the appointment added for [StaffA], is still displayed on the scheduling calendar as expected

Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Search for and select "Order Code A"
- Click [Sliding Scale Instructions].
- Populate the 'Sliding Scale Instruction' dialog and click [Save].
- Validate the 'Dose and Dose Unit' fields are disabled and un-required.
- Click [Free Text].
- Validate a message is displayed stating "This order has Sliding Scale Instructions data. If you continue, it will be cleared along with any data entered in Addl instructions. Do you wish to continue?" and click [Yes].
- Click [Sliding Scale Instructions].
- Validate there is no data in the 'Sliding Scale Instructions' dialog and click [Close/Cancel].
- Click [Sliding Scale Instructions].
- Populate the 'Sliding Scale Instruction' dialog and click [Save].
- Re-open the 'Sliding Scale Insulin Instructions' dialog.
- Highlight all rows and click [Delete].
- Validate all rows are deleted and click [Save].
- Put any text in the 'Addl Instructions' field and click [Sliding Scale Instructions].
- Validate a message is displayed stating "This order has Addl instructions data. If Sliding Scale Instructions data is saved, it will replace the contents of Addl instructions. Do you wish to continue?" and click "Yes"
- Populate the 'Sliding Scale Instruction' dialog and click [Save].
- Populate the remaining required fields and click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
- Validate the order displays in the 'Order grid'.

- Create a pharmacy-type order and ensure the following: (Order A)
- Select "TWICE A DAY" in the 'Freq' field.
- Click [Yes] next to 'Give Initial Dose Now'.
- Select "Ok to Administer" in the 'Select One' field.
- Set the 'Duration' field to "4" and Click [Doses].
- Set the 'Start Time' field to "12:00 AM".
- Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
- Create a pharmacy-type order and ensure the following: (Order B)
- Select "TWICE A DAY" in the 'Freq' field.
- Click [Yes] next to 'Give Initial Dose Now'.
- Select "Skip" in the 'Select One' field.
- Set the 'Duration' field to "4" and Click [Doses].
- Set the 'Start Time' field to "12:00 AM".
- Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
- Select the 'eMAR' widget.
- Change the 'Administration Date' to a date that is one day in the future.
- Validate that there are only four administration times for "Order A" in the 'Administration Date/Time' field.
- Change the 'Administration Date' to a date that is one additional day in the future.
- Validate that there are only four administration times for "Order B" in the 'Administration Date/Time' field.
- Create a report using the 'OrderEntry.history_client_order' table and include the following fields: 'PATID', 'order_description', 'order_unique_id', 'frequency_description', 'reschd_1st_dose_date', 'reschd_1st_dose_time', 'reschd_2nd_dose_date', 'reschd_2nd_dose_skip_code', 'reschd_2nd_dose_skip_val', and 'reschd_2nd_dose_time'.
- Filter the report on 'PATID' by selecting Client A's 'PATID'.
- Validate the order information displays correctly.
- Create a report using the 'eMAR.eMAR_rescheduled_hours' table and include the following fields: 'PATID', 'order_number', 'original_date', 'original_time', 'reason_text', 'rescheduled_date', 'rescheduled_time',
- Filter the report on 'PATID' by selecting Client A's 'PATID'.
- Validate the order information displays correctly.
