Client Widgets
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • HomeView - my Clients
  • Homeview.Client Diagnosis
  • HomeView.Client Episodes Widget
  • HomeView.Client Information widget
  • Homeview.MyViews
Scenario 1: Validate client widget data updates when switching the client in context
Specific Setup:
  • Have a user with one or more client based widgets on their home view. For this test the "Client Information" and "Client Episodes" and "Client Diagnosis" are used
  • Have three clients (ClientA, ClientB, ClientC) admitted to active episodes with diagnosis data and demographic information filed
Steps
  1. In the "Search Clients" prompt, select ClientA
  2. Validate the "Client Information" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientA
  3. Validate the "Client Episodes" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientA
  4. Validate the "Client Diagnosis" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientA
  5. In the "Search Clients" prompt, select ClientB
  6. Validate the "Client Information" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientB
  7. Validate the "Client Episodes" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientB
  8. Validate the "Client Diagnosis" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientB
  9. In the "Search Clients" prompt, select ClientC
  10. Validate the "Client Information" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientC
  11. Validate the "Client Episodes" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientC
  12. Validate the "Client Diagnosis" widget refreshes and reflects the expected data for ClientC

Chart View- Print all documents to a PDF
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • HomeView - my Clients
  • PDF Document
Scenario 1: Chart View - Validate Printing Documents to a PDF file
Specific Setup:
  • Have a client [ClientA] with three documents created, "Document1", "Document2" and "Document3" for any form [FormA]. For example, a progress note form
  • Have [FormA] included in a users chart view
  • Log in as the user
Steps
  1. Select "ClientA"
  2. Right-click on the "ClientA"
  3. Click [Display Chart]
  4. Select "FormA" from the "Chart Forms" list
  5. Select the episode
  6. Click the [Print All] link
  7. In the print dialog screen, select "Microsoft Print to PDF" from the "Name" drop down list
  8. Click [OK]
  9. In the "Save Print Output As" dialog, select desired location of file
  10. Set the "File Name" field to "Document1"
  11. Click the [Save] button
  12. Verify another "Save Print Output As" dialog is displayed
  13. Open windows explorer and navigate to the location of the "Document1" PDF file
  14. Open the "Document 1"
  15. Validate the contents of the page contains the expected data
  16. Navigate back to the "Save Print Output As" dialog
  17. Repeat steps 9 thru16 for [Document2]
  18. Validate results are as expected
  19. Repeat steps 9 thru 6 for [Document3]
  20. Validate results are as expected
  21. Navigate back to "Chart View"
  22. Click the "PDF All" link
  23. In the "Windows Explorer" dialog screen, select a location to save the PDF file using the "Save In" field
  24. Set the "File Name" field to the desired name, for example "AllDocsInOnePDFfile"
  25. Click [Save]
  26. Navigate to the location of the file in windows explorer
  27. Open the PDF file
  28. Validate the file contains, "Document1","Document2" and "Document3"
  29. Validate the contents of the documents in the PDF file, are as expected

Form Designer - grouped fields do not move off layout screen
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Form Designer (PM)
Scenario 1: Form Designer - changing the layout of a form
Specific Setup:
  • The user has access to the form, 'Form Designer'
Steps
  1. Open the 'Form Designer' form.
  2. Select the 'desired form' from the 'Forms' field.
  3. Select the 'desired section' from the 'Sections' field.
  4. Click [Show Section].
  5. Select the 'desired field'.
  6. Move the 'desired field' in all directions. Scroll to validate that is does not move off the layout screen.
  7. Click [Cancel].
  8. Click [OK].
  9. Click [Show Section].
  10. Hold the 'CTRL' key and select several 'desired fields' as a group. The boxes will turn green.
  11. Hold the 'CTRL' key and move the group in all directions. Scroll to validate that none of the fields move off the layout screen.
  12. Click [Cancel].
  13. Click [OK].
  14. Click [Show Section].
  15. Validate that none of the previously selected fields has moved off the layout screen.
  16. Click [Cancel].
  17. Click [OK].
  18. Click [Submit].
  19. Open the 'Form Designer' form.
  20. Select 'desired form' from the 'Forms' field.
  21. Select 'desired section' from the 'Sections' field.
  22. Click [Show Section].
  23. Validate that none of the previously selected fields has moved off the layout screen.
  24. Click [Cancel].
  25. Click [OK].
  26. Click [Submit].

My Forms list - display
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • HomeView - Forms & Data Widget
  • Homeview.My Forms

Scenario 1: "Forms & Data" widget - (My Forms): Validate adding, removing and launching forms
Specific Setup:
  • Have a user [User A] who is not assigned to a "User Role" that has many forms (ex. 20 or more) set up in the "My Forms" section of the "Forms & Data" widget.
  • Have a user role set up in form "User Role Definition" that has many forms (ex. 20 or more) added to the "User Role Default 'My Forms'" grid on the "My Forms" tab
  • Have a user [UserB] assigned to that role.
  • Have the "Forms & Data" widget added to both user's home view
Steps
  1. Log in as [UserA]
  2. In the "My Forms" section of the "Forms & Data" widget, validate the widget displays all the expected forms
  3. Click the [Edit] button
  4. Search for a form in the "Add Form" search field
  5. Click the [Add Form] button
  6. Validate the form is displayed in the forms list window
  7. Click [Save]
  8. Click the "Refresh Forms" button
  9. Validate the form is displayed in the "My Forms" list widget
  10. Log out and then log back in
  11. Validate the "My Forms" widget contains the added form and all the other expected forms
  12. In the "My Forms" section of the "Forms & Data" widget, click [Edit]
  13. Right-Click on any form in the forms list window
  14. Click [Remove]
  15. Validate the form is removed from the forms list window
  16. Click [Save]
  17. Click the "Refresh Forms" button
  18. Validate the form is removed from the "My Forms" list widget
  19. Log out and log back in
  20. Validate the "My Forms" widget does not contain the deleted form but does contain all other expected forms
  21. Open any form
  22. Click the [Add to my Forms] button located under the [Submit] button
  23. Close the form
  24. Validate the form is displayed in the "My Forms" list widget
  25. Log out and log back in
  26. Validate the "My Forms" widget contains the added form and all the other expected forms
  27. Log out as [UserA] and login as [UserB]
  28. In the "My Forms" section of the "Forms & Data" widget, validate the widget displays all the expected forms assigned by the user role
  29. Repeat steps 2 thru 26
  30. Validate all results are as expected
  31. In the "My Forms" section of the "Forms & Data" widget, click [Edit]
  32. This time, right-click on one of the forms listed that was originally assigned by the user role
  33. Click [Remove]
  34. Validate the form is removed from the forms list window
  35. Click [Save]
  36. Click the "Refresh Forms" button
  37. Validate the form has been removed from the "My Forms" widget
  38. Log out as [UserB] and log back in again as [UserB]
  39. Validate the form that was deleted in step 33, is not present in the "My Forms" list
  40. Open form "User Role Definition"
  41. Select the role assigned to the [UserB], which has the default forms set up on the "My Forms" section of the user role.
  42. Click the [My Forms] section
  43. Validate all the default forms originally added are listed, as expected
  44. Click [Add New Item]
  45. Select any form in the "Forms Selected for User Access" search field
  46. Validate the form is added to the "User Role Default (My Forms)" grid
  47. Select any existing form in the "My Forms" list
  48. Click [Delete]
  49. Validate the form is removed from the list
  50. Click [Submit]
  51. Validate the form files successfully
  52. Log out as [UserB] and log back in again as [UserB]
  53. In the "My Forms" section of the "Forms & Data" widget, validate the widget does not display the form just deleted from the user roles "My Forms" list
  54. In the "My Forms" section of the "Forms & Data" widget, validate the widget displays the new form just added to the user roles "My Forms" list and all other expected forms
  55. Click on any form in the "My Forms" widget
  56. Validate the form opens successfully, as expected
  57. Populate the desired fields on the form
  58. Click [Submit]
  59. Validate the form files successfully
  60. Open any other forms from the "Search Forms" search prompt or through the "Browse Forms" menu
  61. Populate the desired fields on the form
  62. Click [Submit]
  63. Validate the form files successfully

The 'Comments' field in Avatar eMAR can be resized.
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

Scenario 1: Recurring Lab Order with specimen collection - Successful Administration - Yes, Additional Attempts Planned - No
Specific Setup:
  • In order to utilize full functionality the following updates must be installed: Avatar OE 2021 Update 10, Avatar eMAR 2021 Update 5, Avatar CWS 2021 Update 32, Avatar CareFabric 2021 Update 22 and myAvatar Client Update 2353-008.
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Enable Specimen Collection Events' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Display Indicator When Administration Event Has Additional Attempts Planned' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Display Indicator When Administration Event Has Been Rejected' must be set to "Y".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Time Format Displayed in Avatar eMAR' registry setting must be set to "2".
  • Must have a value in the '(10000) Administration Event' dictionary that has 'Successful Administration' = "Yes", 'Client Refusal' = "No". "Additional Attempts Planned" = "No", 'Add Reason Dictionary To Comments' = "Yes", and 'Require Comments' = "No". (TEST 4)
  • Must have a value entered in the '(10020) Event Reason' dictionary under 'eMAR Tabled Files' in the 'Dictionary Update' form under 'Avatar CWS'. (PT Asleep)
  • Please log out and back in after completing the configuration above.
  • Must have a Lab-type order code with the following information: a 'Default Duration (Hours)' of "48" and the following entered in 'External Lab Definition': 'Lab Vendor Name' = an 'eVendor', 'Specimen Type' = "Blood", 'Specimen Container' = "Blood Culture Bottles", 'Collection Volume' = "150", and 'Collection Volume Units of Measure' = "mL". This is done in 'Order Code Setup'. (CBC)
  • Must have a 'Frequency Code' with administration times of "09:00 AM", "02:00 PM" and "09:00 PM". (3 TIMES A DAY)
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Order Entry Console'.
  2. Remain on 'Orders This Episode'.
  3. Set the 'New Order' field to "Complete Blood Count"
  4. Validate the 'Frequency' field is equal to "3 Times A Day"
  5. Validate the 'External Lab Vendor Destination' field is equal to the "eVendor" associated with the order code.
  6. Validate the 'Communication Method' checkbox properties equal "Checked"
  7. Validate the 'Specimen Type' field is equal to "Blood"
  8. Click [Select Specimen Site]
  9. Verify the 'Specimen Site' dialog exists
  10. Set the 'Other' field to "right central median vein"
  11. Click [Enter]
  12. Validate the 'Site' label contains "right central median vein above the 'Search' field."
  13. Click [OK]
  14. Verify the 'Specimen Site' dialog does not exist
  15. Validate the 'Specimen Site' field is equal to "right central median vein"
  16. Validate the 'Specimen Collection' field is equal to "Lab Vendor Staff Will Collect is selected"
  17. Validate the 'Duration' field is equal to "48"
  18. Validate the Hours button is pressed
  19. Validate the 'Start Date' field contains the current date
  20. Validate the 'Start Time' field contains the current time
  21. Set the 'Start Time' field to "0000"
  22. Press the TAB key on the Start Time field
  23. Validate the 'Start Time' field is equal to "12:00 AM"
  24. Validate the 'Stop Date' field is equal to 2 days after the current date
  25. Validate the 'Stop Time' field is equal to a date that is one minute prior to the 'Start Time'.
  26. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign]
  27. Validate the Order grid contains "Complete Blood Count" with no value in the 'Last Activity' column.
  28. Select "Avatar eMAR"
  29. Click the 'Lab Orders' tab
  30. Click [Refresh]
  31. Validate that the "Complete Blood Count" order is displayed with administration hours under the current date of "0900", "1400" and "2100".
  32. Double click the "1400" cell.
  33. Verify the 'Order Acknowledgement' dialog exists and click [OK].
  34. Verify the 'Client Education' dialog exists
  35. Select "Yes" from the 'Education Performed' field and click [OK].
  36. Verify the 'Specimen Collection' dialog exists
  37. Validate the 'Specimen Type' cell is equal to "Blood"
  38. Select "Yes" from the 'Fasting' cell
  39. Verify the 'Collection Event' cell exists
  40. Validate the 'Collection Event' cell contains values from the 'Administration Event' dictionary under 'eMAR Tabled Files' in the 'Dictionary Update' form under 'Avatar CWS'.
  41. Select "TEST 4" from the 'Collection Event' cell
  42. Click [Comments - View]
  43. Validate the 'Comments - Reason' field is not required and enabled.
  44. Validate the 'Comments - Text' field is not required and enabled.
  45. Click in the bottom right corner of the 'Comments' dialog and move the box in to make it about half the normal size.
  46. Validate that the 'Comment - Reason' and 'Comment - Text' field labels and fields are displayed.
  47. Click in the bottom right corner of the Comments' dialog and move the box in to make it about half of the current size.
  48. Validate that the 'Comment - Reason' and 'Comment - Text' field labels are displayed, but the fields are not.
  49. Validate that at this time you are unable to make the field any bigger.
  50. Click the x in the top right corner of the dialog.
  51. Click the 'Cancel' button
  52. Select the '1400' cell under the current date and click [Administer].
  53. Verify the 'Specimen Collection' dialog exists.
  54. Validate the 'Specimen Type' is equal to "Blood".
  55. Select "Yes" from the 'Fasting' cell.
  56. Select "TEST 4" in the 'Collection Event' cell.
  57. Click [Comments - View].
  58. Validate the 'Comments' dialog is normally sized.
  59. Select "Patient Asleep" in the 'Comments - Reason' field
  60. Set the 'Comments - Text' field to "This is a test for PT Asleep"
  61. Click [OK]
  62. Validate the 'Comments - View' button contains a green check mark
  63. Check the 'Accept specimen collection entered' check box and click [OK]
  64. Validate that the second cell under the current date contains the time administered.

Administration of a 'Nutrition' order
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

Scenario 1: Validate the 'Support Nutrition Tab in eMAR' registry setting
Specific Setup:
  • A client has 3 Dietary Orders filed: Order 1 has the 'Dietary' order type, Order 2 has the 'Dietary - Oral' order type, Order 3 has the 'Dietary - Tube Feeding' order type (Client A).
Steps
  1. Access the 'Registry Settings' form.
  2. Enter "Support Nutrition Tab in eMAR" in the 'Limit Registry Settings to the Following Search Criteria' field.
  3. Click [View Registry Settings].
  4. Validate the 'Registry Setting' field contains "Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Support Nutrition Tab in eMAR".
  5. Validate the 'Registry Setting Details' field contains: When this registry setting is set to "1", the 'Nutrition' tab will appear in Avatar eMAR. Orders with an Order Type Category of "Dietary", "Dietary - Oral", or "Dietary - Tube Feeding" will appear under this tab rather than the 'Other Order Types' tab (if such orders are included in Avatar eMAR). When this registry setting is set to "0", the 'Nutrition' tab will not appear in Avatar eMAR and any dietary orders that are included in Avatar eMAR will appear under the 'Other Order Types' tab.
  6. Validate the 'Registry Setting Value' has a default value of "0".
  7. Click [Submit].
  8. Validate a "Registry Editor Filing" message is displayed stating: Successful Filing.
  9. Click [OK] and close the form.
  10. Select "Client A" and access the 'eMAR' widget.
  11. Validate the 'Nutrition Orders' tab does not exist since the registry setting is set to "0".
  12. Select the [All Other Order Types] tab.
  13. Validate the 'All Other Order Types' tab contains the 3 Dietary Orders from the pre-conditions.
  14. Close the form.
  15. Access the 'Registry Settings' form.
  16. Enter "Support Nutrition Tab in eMAR" in the 'Limit Registry Settings to the Following Search Criteria' field.
  17. Click [View Registry Settings].
  18. Enter "1" in the 'Registry Setting Value' field.
  19. Click [Submit].
  20. Validate a "Registry Editor Filing" message is displayed stating: Successful Filing.
  21. Click [OK] and close the form.
  22. Log out of the application and log back in.
  23. Select "Client A" and access the 'eMAR' widget.
  24. Verify the 'Nutrition Orders' tab is displayed.
  25. Select the [Nutrition Orders] tab.
  26. Validate the 'Nutrition Orders' tab contains the 3 Dietary Orders with no hours of administration in the cells under the current date.
  27. Select the first cell under the current date for the order with an 'Order Type' of "Dietary".
  28. Validate the cell is highlighted yellow and click [Administer].
  29. Validate the 'Administration Event' dialog is displayed and contains the order description of the 'Dietary' order.
  30. Click [Cancel].
  31. Validate that the first cell under the current date for the order with an 'Order Type' of "Dietary" is still highlighted yellow.
  32. Select the first cell under the current date for the other two remaining orders and click [Administer].
  33. Validate that all three orders appear in the 'Administration Event' dialog.
  34. Set the 'Qty' field to any value for all three orders.
  35. Set the 'Unit' field to any value for all three orders.
  36. Select "Self-Administered" in the 'Administration Event' field for the 'Dietary' and 'Dietary-Oral' orders.
  37. Select "Nurse Administered" in the 'Administration Event' field for the 'Dietary-Tube Feeding' order.
  38. Check 'Accept administration information entered' and click [OK].
  39. Validate the cells under the current date for all three orders contain the 'Qty' and 'Unit' and the time administered in military format.

Lab Order in the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section)
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

Scenario 1: Order Entry Console - Lab Orders - First Collect
Specific Setup:
  • A lab-type order code must exist with a 'Default Frequency Code' of 'Daily', which has an hour of administration of "12:00 PM" and an associated 'eVendor'. (CBC)
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • Client A must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Set the ‘New Order’ field to "CBC".
  3. Validate the ‘Frequency’ field is equal to "DAILY".
  4. Validate the ‘First Collect – Date’ field is equal to "the current date".
  5. Validate the ‘First Collect – Time’ field is equal to "the administration time configured in Frequency Code Setup".
  6. Validate the ‘External Lab Vendor Destination’ field is equal to the lab vendor associated with the order code.
  7. Validate the ‘Specimen Collection’ field is equal to "Lab Vendor Staff will Collect ".
  8. Click [Reason-View].
  9. Validate the 'Multiple Reason Checklist' dialog is displayed.
  10. Select any value in the 'Reasons' field and click [Save].
  11. Select any value in the ‘Diagnosis’ field.
  12. Set the ‘Duration’ field to "5" and click [Days].
  13. Validate the ‘Start Date’ field is equal to the current date.
  14. Validate the ‘Start Time’ field is equal to the current time.
  15. Validate the ‘Stop Date’ field is equal to a date that is 5 days in the future of the 'Start Date'.
  16. Validate the ‘Stop Time’ field is equal to a time that is one minute prior to the 'Start Time'.
  17. Click [Add to Scratchpad], and [Sign].
  18. Validate the ‘Order grid’ contains an order for "CBC".

Specific Setup:

  • Must have a value in the '(10000) Administration Event' dictionary for the following:
  • "HELD" that has 'Successful Administration' = "No" and no values selected in the 'Limit To Specific Tabs' extended attribute.
  • "TEST 1" that has 'Successful Administration' = "No", 'Client Refusal' = "No". "Additional Attempts Planned" = "No", 'Limit To Specific Tabs' = "All Other Order Types" and "Lab Orders", 'Add Reason Dictionary To Comments' = "Yes", and 'Require Comments' = "No".
  • "TEST 2" that has 'Successful Administration' = "No", 'Client Refusal' = "Yes". "Additional Attempts Planned" = "Yes", 'Limit To Specific Tabs' = "All Other Order Types" - "Lab Orders" - "Medications" - "Nutrition Orders", 'Add Reason Dictionary To Comments' = "Required", and 'Require Comments' = "Yes".
  • "TEST 3" that has 'Successful Administration' = "No", 'Client Refusal' = "No". "Additional Attempts Planned" = "No and DC OTO Order", 'Limit To Specific Tabs' = "All Other Order Types" - "Lab Orders" - "Nutrition Orders", 'Add Reason Dictionary To Comments' = "Yes", and 'Require Comments' = "No".
  • "TEST 6" that has 'Successful Administration' = "Yes", 'Client Refusal' = "No". "Additional Attempts Planned" = no value, 'Limit To Specific Tabs' = "All Other Order Types", 'Add Reason Dictionary To Comments' = "Yes", and 'Require Comments' = "No".
  • Must have a value entered in the '(10020) Event Reason' dictionary under 'eMAR Tabled Files' in the 'Dictionary Update' form under 'Avatar CWS'. (PT Asleep)
  • Please log out and back in after completing the configuration above.

  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)

Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select "CAT SCAN" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Fill out all required fields.
  4. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
  5. Validate that the 'Order grid' contains an order for "CAT SCAN".
  6. Select the 'eMAR' widget.
  7. Validate that an order for "CAT SCAN" is displayed with no hours of administration under the current date.
  8. Double click on the first cell under the current date.
  9. Validate the 'Order Acknowledgement' dialog is displayed and click [OK].
  10. Validate the 'Client Education' dialog is displayed.
  11. Select "Yes" in the 'Education Performed' field and click [OK].
  12. Validate the 'Administration Event' dialog is displayed.
  13. Validate 'Order' contains "CAT SCAN".
  14. Validate 'Scheduled Date' contains the current date.
  15. Set the 'Qty' field to "4".
  16. Set the 'Unit' field to "Scans".
  17. Click in the 'Administration Event' field.
  18. Validate the following values are displayed: "Dose Held", "TEST 1", "TEST 2", "TEST 3", and "TEST 6".
  19. Select "TEST 6".
  20. Click [Comments - View].
  21. Select any value in the 'Comments - Reason' field.
  22. Enter any value in the 'Comments - Text' field and click [OK].
  23. Check the 'Accept administration information entered' check box and click [OK].
  24. Validate that the first cell under the current date contains the "Qty", "Unit" and time administered with a comment indicator in the top left corner of the cell.

Clinical Document Viewer

Scenario 1: Clinical Document Viewer - Validate PDF file. (Prevent Non-episodic Document Capture - Enabled)
Specific Setup:
  • This must be tested in a Perceptive enabled environment.
  • Have "Document Capture" added to a user's chart review forms.
  • Have a client with existing active episodes.
  • Have a PDF document that can be imported for an existing client on the system.
  • Have registry setting "Prevent Non-episodic Document Capture" set to "Y".
Steps
  1. Select the desired client and access the 'Chart View'.
  2. Select 'Document Capture' from the left side panel.
  3. Click [Import] from the 'Capture Mode' field.
  4. Validate "Non-Episodic" is not an option in the 'Select Episode' field.
  5. Select the desired episode number.
  6. Click [OK].
  7. Validate the 'Document Capture' form is displayed.
  8. Click [Capture].
  9. Click [Browse] in the 'Select Files' field.
  10. Navigate to [Document A] and select it.
  11. Click [Open] and [Done].
  12. Validate the 'Document Capture' field displays the document contents as expected.
  13. Select the desired value in the 'Document Type' field.
  14. If desired, populate the 'Document Description' field.
  15. Click [Save].
  16. Validate a message is displayed indicating: "Save was successful!" and close it.
  17. Validate a message is displayed stating "Document was added to Avatar" and close it.
  18. Click [Close Chart].
  19. Open the 'Clinical Document Viewer' form.
  20. Select "Individual" from the 'Select All' or 'Individual Client' field.
  21. Select the desired client in the 'Select Client' field.
  22. Select "All" from the 'Episode' field.
  23. Click [Process].
  24. Click the 'Document Date' field.
  25. Select "[Document A]" from the 'Document Description' field.
  26. Validate the 'Print Preview' field contains the expected document image.
  27. Click [Close All Documents].
  28. Select the 'Search' tab and click [Close].
Scenario 2: Clinical Document Viewer - Validate PDF file. (Prevent Non-episodic Document Capture - Disabled)
Specific Setup:
  • This must be tested in a Perceptive enabled environment.
  • Have "Document Capture" added to a user's Chart View forms.
  • Have a client with existing active episodes.
  • Have a document that can be imported for an existing client on the system [DocumentA].
  • Have registry setting "Prevent Non-episodic Document Capture" set to "N".
Steps
  1. Select the desired client and access the 'Chart View'.
  2. Select 'Document Capture' from the left side panel.
  3. Click [Import] from the 'Capture Mode' field.
  4. Validate "Non-Episodic" is an option in the 'Select Episode' field in addition to the client's existing episodes.
  5. Select the desired episode number.
  6. Click [OK].
  7. Validate the 'Document Capture' form is displayed.
  8. Click [Capture].
  9. Click [Browse] in the 'Select Files' field.
  10. Navigate to [Document A] and select it.
  11. Click [Open] and [Done].
  12. Validate the 'Document Capture' field displays the document contents as expected.
  13. Select the desired value in the 'Document Type' field.
  14. If desired, populate the 'Document Description' field.
  15. Click [Save].
  16. Validate a message is displayed indicating "Save was successful" and close it.
  17. Validate a message is displayed indicating "Document was added to Avatar" and close it.
  18. Click [Close Chart].
  19. Open the 'Clinical Document Viewer' form.
  20. Select "Individual" from the 'Select All' or 'Individual Client' field.
  21. Select the desired client in the 'Select Client' field.
  22. Select "All" from the 'Episode' field.
  23. Click [Process].
  24. Click the 'Document Date' field.
  25. Select [Document A] from the 'Document Description' field.
  26. Validate the 'Print Preview' field contains the expected document image.
  27. Click [Close All Documents].
  28. Select the 'Search' tab and click [Close].
