Widget Text Templates
Scenario 1: Validate the use of Widget Text Templates in "Scrolling Text" fields
Specific Setup:
  • Have a SQL widget created in "Widget Definition" with field "Use for Templates on Demand" set to "Y"
  • For the table used in the widget, have data filed in that table for any client
  • Have access to a form with a "Scrolling Text" field on the form
Steps
  1. Open the form
  2. Right-Click In the "Scrolling Text" field
  3. Click "Widget Templates"
  4. Choose the desired template
  5. Validate the text results are displayed as expected
  6. Place the cursor at the end of the text
  7. Repeat steps 2 and 3
  8. From the "Append, Insert, or Replace All? drop-down list, validate "Insert" is displayed as a default
  9. Click [OK] or hit enter
  10. Validate the text is inserted at the end of the previous text, as expected
  11. Repeat steps 2 and 3
  12. From the "Append, Insert, or Replace All? drop-down list, choose "Append"
  13. Click [OK] or hit enter
  14. Validate the text is appended directly on the line below the existing text, as expected
  15. Repeat steps 2 and 3
  16. From the "Append, Insert, or Replace All? drop-down list, choose "Replace All"
  17. Click [OK] or hit enter
  18. Validate all previous text in the field is removed and the new text is displayed, as expected

Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

Scenario 1: eMAR - scanning another barcode when selection dialog is presented
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have three active orders. Two orders for the same pharmacy-type order code where one has hours of administration (Order 1) and one does not have hours of administration (Order 2) and a single order for any other pharmacy-type order (Order 3). (Client A)
  • All orders must be acknowledged and have client education performed.
  • Order 1 must have an administration time that is not within the administration window for the current date.
  • Must have one barcode for orders 1 and 2 and another barcode for order 3.
Steps
  1. Access 'Avatar eMAR'.
  2. Select "Client A" in the 'Client' field.
  3. Validate that there are two orders for "PRILOSEC 10 MG ORAL CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE" and one for a different pharmacy-type order.
  4. Scan the barcode for "PRILOSEC 10 MG ORAL CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE"
  5. Validate that the Order Selection dialog is displayed and contains both orders for "PRILOSEC 10 MG ORAL CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE".
  6. Validate that the 'Med ID' field on the main Avatar eMAR display contains the NDC of the barcode that was scanned.
  7. Scan the barcode for the other pharmacy-type order.
  8. Validate that the 'Med ID' field now contains the NDC for the other pharmacy-type order that was just scanned.
  9. Select the cell under the current date for the order that does not have hours of administration by double clicking in the cell in the 'Order Selection' dialog.
  10. Validate that the Administration dialog is displayed and contains the barcode that was scanned for "PRILOSEC 10 MG ORAL CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE" in the 'Med ID' field.
  11. Select "Nurse Administered" in the 'Administration Event' cell.
  12. Check the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox.
  13. Click [OK].
  14. Validate that the cell under the current date contains the amount given and the time that it occurred.

Avatar eMAR - Med ID cleared when disabling multiple administration selection

Scenario 1: eMAR - clear out Med ID field when unchecking 'Enable multiple administration selection'
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have three active orders. Two orders for the same pharmacy-type order code where one has hours of administration (Order 1) and one does not have hours of administration (Order 2) and a single order for any other pharmacy-type order (Order 3). (Client A)
  • All orders must be acknowledged and have client education performed.
  • Order 1 must have an administration time that is within the administration window and has already been administered for the current date.

Steps
  1. Access 'Avatar eMAR'.

  6. Validate that the 'Med ID' field contains the NDC for "PRILOSEC 10 MG ORAL CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE".
  7. Validate that an 'Invalid cell selection' message is displayed.
  8. Click [OK].
  9. Validate that the 'Med ID' field contains the NDC for "PRILOSEC 10 MG ORAL CAPSULE, DELAYED RELEASE".
  10. Uncheck the 'Enable Multiple Administration Selection' checkbox.
  11. Validate that no value is displayed in the 'Med ID' field.

Scenario 1: eMAR form: Client Information box includes Clinical Pathway information.
Specific Setup:
  • "Clinical Pathway Definition" form is set up for one or more pathways.
  • One or more test clients with orders on file in eMAR.
  • One or more test clients on file with Clinical Pathway defined.
Steps
  1. Open eMAR for a test client with orders on file.
  2. Verify the "Latest Client Information" box displays the client assigned Clinical Pathways. Validate the Clinical Pathways display in the color they are defined as in the 'Clinical Pathway Definition' form.
  3. Verify the "Clinical Pathway" defined as "Primary" displays first.
Scenario 2: Validate the color of a client's name that is enrolled in a Clinical Pathway in the 'Scheduling Calendar', 'My Clients' widget, 'My Calendar' widget and 'Coming in Today' widget
Specific Setup:
  • A pathway must be defined in the 'Clinical Pathway Definition' form (Pathway A).
  • A client must be enrolled in "Pathway A". This can be done in the 'Clinical Pathway Enrollment' form (Client A).
  • The 'Notification Type' of "Clinical Pathways Appointment Status" must be defined to have the "To Do" selected under 'Notification Method'. This is done in the 'Notifications Setup' form.
  • "Client A" must have an appointment scheduled for the current date.
  • The 'Coming in Today' widget and 'My Calendar' widget are added to the HomeView.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Scheduling Calendar' form.
  2. Validate the 'Appointment Grid' contains the appointment for "Client A". Validate "Client A's" name is displayed in the color defined in the 'Clinical Pathway Definition' form".
  3. Click [Dismiss].
  4. Access the 'Coming In Today' widget.
  5. Validate the 'Coming in Today' widget contains the appointment for "Client A". Validate "Client A's" name is displayed in the color defined in the 'Clinical Pathway Definition' form.
  6. Access the 'My Calendar' widget.
  7. Validate the 'My Calendar' widget contains the appointment for "Client A". Validate "Client A's" name is displayed in the color defined in the 'Clinical Pathway Definition' form".
  8. Access the 'My Clients' widget.
  9. Validate the 'My Clients' widget contains "Client A's" name displayed in the color defined in the 'Clinical Pathway Definition' form.

Launching Avatar Login screen

Scenario 1: Avatar Login - Launch login screen via desktop Middleware link
Specific Setup:
  • Have a desktop link or shortcut configured to point to the Middleware application used to launch the Avatar login screen, placed on a users desktop

  1. Click on the Middleware link or shortcut on the desktop
  2. On the Middleware application "myAvatar" page, click the [Start myAvatar] button
  3. Validate the myAvatar "..loading please wait" splash screen is displayed
  4. Validate the "myAvatar Sign-in" screen loads successfully
  5. Log in to Avatar
  6. Validate login is successful

  • Have a client (Client A) with an existing "Treatment Plan" that includes a "Problem" already added
Steps

Specific Setup:
  • Perceptive storage method must be utilized
Steps
  1. Open the "Batch Capture and Indexing" form.
  2. Click "Capture".
  3. Select "Scanner" as the "Source".
  4. Scan in a document.
  5. Validate that the document capture opens in a window within Avatar and not as an Internet Explorer window.
  6. Close the batch by selecting "Send to" and sent it to the Batch Validate queue.
  7. Open the Avatar Batch Validate queue.
  8. Open the batch that was just scanned in.
  9. Click "Submit" to save the document to Avatar.
  10. Open the "Batch Capture and Indexing" form.
  11. Click "Capture".
  12. Select "File" as the "Source".
  13. Browse to the location of the file to be imported.
  14. Import the file.
  15. Validate that the document capture opens in a window within Avatar and not as an Internet Explorer window.
  16. Close the batch by selecting "Send to" and sent it to the Batch Validate queue.
  17. Open the Avatar Batch Validate queue.

  8. Scan in a document
  9. Select a client, episode and set a "Document Description".
  10. Click "Save" to save the document to Avatar.
  11. Click "Refresh".
  12. Click "Document Capture".
  13. Select "Capture".
  14. Set "Source" to "File".
  15. Browse to the location of the file to be imported.
  16. Validate that the capture window opens in an Avatar window and not in an Internet Explorer window.
  17. Import in a document
  18. Select a client, episode and set a "Document Description".
  19. Click "Save" to save the document to Avatar.
  20. Click "Refresh".
