Avatar CareFabric 2022 Update 8

Product Update Form Description

The following enhancements are introduced: 1) Avatar OE is enhanced to support compound medications. The 'Order Code Setup' and 'Recipe Maintenance' forms are updated to allow for the creation of compound medication 'Order Codes' and 'Recipes' and the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode and Admission Med Reconciliation sections) is updated to support the creation of orders for compound medications. Such compound medication orders are fully supported in "external pharmacy mode", and can be supported when orders are being sent to RxConnect, with appropriate setup. Note: A myAvatar Client Update or upgrade must also be installed to enable this functionality. Also note that this functionality is available only in myAvatar NX. 2) If the registry setting 'Display warning if no Allergy form filed' is set to "Y", then when using the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode and Admission Med Reconciliation sections), this warning will now be displayed only when creating a pharmacy-type order (as opposed to when any type of order is being created). 3) Support is added for conveying to OrderConnect a 'Written Date' that reflects the facility's local time zone when submitting medication orders in the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode and Admission Med Reconciliation sections when in "external pharmacy mode", and the Home Medications and Discharge Med Reconciliation sections). This 'Written Date' will be used by OrderConnect in an upcoming release. Note: Avatar CareFabric 2022 Update 8 must also be installed to enable this functionality. In addition, an issue is resolved in the Order Entry Console (Discharge Med Reconciliation section) where the 'Last Dose' column in the 'Inpatient Medications' list might display information about an "unsuccessful" 'Administration Event'. In addition to addressing this issue, information displayed in this 'Last Dose' column now also includes the description of the Avatar eMAR 'Administration Event' code. This description is also now included in the 'Last Activity' column in the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section), when the 'Last Activity' is an 'Administration Event' from Avatar eMAR.
