OE NX - Order Entry Console - PRN Frequency code
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Orders This Episode
  • Order Entry Console
Scenario 1: OE NX - Orders This Episode - Create new order with PRN Frequency code - External Pharmacy Mode
Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->Client Profile->->->Hide Duration In OE Console (Orders This Episode) For External Pharmacy Mode' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • A pharmacy-type order code "Order Code A" must be configured to have a default duration in days.
  • A "PRN" 'Frequency Code' must exist.
  • Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
  • A client must have an inpatient episode whose program or unit are configured in the ‘External Pharmacy Setup’ form. (Client A).
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Create an order for a pharmacy-type order code.
  3. Populate the required fields selecting any "PRN" frequency code from the 'Frequency' field.
  4. Validate the 'Stop Date' and 'Stop Time' fields remain populated.
  5. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  6. Click the order in the 'Scratchpad' and validate the 'Stop Date' and 'Stop Time' fields remain populated.
  7. Click [Update Order] and file the order.
  8. Validate the order created is displayed within the 'Order grid'.
Scenario 2: OE NX- Admission Med Reconciliation - Create new order with PRN Frequency code - External Pharmacy Mode
Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->Client Profile->->->Hide Duration In OE Console (Orders This Episode) For External Pharmacy Mode' registry setting must be set to "Y".

  6. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  7. Click the order in the 'Inpatient Medications Scratchpad' and validate the 'Stop Date' and 'Stop Time' fields remain populated.
  8. Click [Update Order] and [Reconcile & Review].
  9. Validate the 'Admission Med Reconciliation' tab is displayed in view-only mode.

  • Treatment Plan
Scenario 1: Validate Undocked Scheduling Calendar
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • A staff member must have hours defined for scheduling.
Steps
  1. Click [Launch Scheduling Calendar] in the 'Control Panel'.
  2. Validate the undocked 'Scheduling Calendar' is displayed in a new browser window.
  3. Right click on any available time slot.
  4. Click [Add Appointment].
  5. Validate the 'Scheduling Calendar - Appointment Details' form is displayed in a new browser window.
  6. Enter any value in the 'Service Code' form.
  7. Enter "Client A" in the 'Client' field.
  8. Select any episode in the 'Episode Number' field.
  9. Select any program in the 'Program' field.
  10. Click [Submit].
  11. Validate the 'Appointment Grid' contains the appointment created in the previous steps.
  12. Right click on the appointment and click [Check In].
  13. Click [Submit] to check in the appointment.
  14. Validate the 'Appointment Grid' contains the checked in appointment.
  15. Right click on the appointment and click [Check Out].
  16. Validate the 'Appointment Grid' contains the checked out appointment.
  17. Click [Dismiss].
  18. Click [Launch Scheduling Calendar] in the 'Control Panel'.
  19. Validate the undocked 'Scheduling Calendar' is displayed in a new browser window.
  20. Right click on any available time slot.
  21. Click [Add Appointment].
  22. Validate the 'Scheduling Calendar - Appointment Details' form is displayed in a new browser window.
  23. Navigate back to the undocked 'Scheduling Calendar' window.
  24. Click [Dismiss].
  25. Validate both the 'Scheduling Calendar' and 'Scheduling Calendar - Appointment Details' forms are dismissed.
