Episode and Client context in Medical Note.
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
- Document.Chief Complaint
- Document.HPI
- Document.Medical Decision Making
- Document.Physical Exam
- Document.Plan Of Care
- Finalize.CPT Selection
- Finalize.Note Details
- Finalize.Note Summary
- Note Details
- Today's E&M Appointments
Scenario 1: Medical Note - Validate client in focus when switching client in context
Specific Setup:
- User with existing Provider login credentials.
- User has a new client with an existing appointment. (Client A)
- User has at least 2 clients. (Client A & Client B)
- The Medical Note widget is properly configured to allow setting and switching patients in context from a Client widget in the same view.
- Configuration set on "ClientEventProcessor" is enabled in MedNote admin tool for MedNote to automatically switch client context.
Steps
- Login to Avatar as a Provider.
- Select the 'Medical Note' widget and verify the existence of 'Todays E&M Appointments/Notes'.
- Validate that the existing appointment is displayed for new "Client A" in 'Todays E&M Appointments/Notes'.
- Select new "Client A" and validate the 'Facesheet' tab is displayed for new "Client A".
- Navigate to the header of the widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains the new "Client A".
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected new "Client A" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Navigate to the 'HomeviewCLINICIAN' widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains the new "Client A" in the header of the widget.
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected new "Client A" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Navigate to the 'Orders' widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains the new "Client A" in the header of the widget.
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected new "Client A" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Navigate to the 'SSO Flowsheet' widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains the new "Client A" in the header of the widget.
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected new "Client A" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Navigate to the 'Reaching Recovery' widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains the new "Client A" in the header of the widget.
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected new "Client A" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Select the 'Medical Note' widget and verify the existence of 'Todays E&M Appointments/Notes'.
- Validate that the existing appointment is displayed for "Client B" in 'Todays E&M Appointments/Notes'.
- Select "Client B" and validate the 'Facesheet' tab is displayed for "Client B".
- Navigate to the header of the widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains "Client B".
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected "Client B" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Navigate to the 'HomeviewCLINICIAN' widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains "Client B" in the header of the widget.
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected "Client B" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Navigate to the 'Orders' widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains "Client B" in the header of the widget.
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected "Client B" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Navigate to the 'SSO Flowsheet' widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains "Client B" in the header of the widget.
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected "Client B" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
- Navigate to the 'Reaching Recovery' widget, validate that the 'Selected Client' field contains "Client B" in the header of the widget.
- Navigate to the 'Recent Clients' widget, validate that the selected "Client B" is displayed in the 'Recent Clients' widget.
Scenario 2: MedNote - Complete a note for an existing client with 'Document Routing' enabled.
Specific Setup:
- Avatar environment with the Medical Note widget configured.
- A client must have an active episode with an appointment scheduled using the required E&M code. (Client A)
- A user must exist with access to the 'Medical Note' view in 'NX View Definition' (User A).
- "User A" must be associated to a 'User Role' with permissions to use 'Medical Note' in 'User Role Definition'.
Steps
- Navigate to the 'Medical Note' view.
- Start a note for "Client A" with an existing appointment on today's date.
- Select any value from the 'Client Type' field.
- Fill out the required fields and click [Save].
- Verify the 'Facesheet' tab loads.
- Add or edit the 'Psychiatry History' section under 'Past Health History'.
- Add or edit the 'Family Psychiatry History' section under 'Family Health History'.
- Navigate to the 'Social History' section.
- Add or edit the 'Social History' section.
- Navigate to the 'Family Health History' section
- Add or edit the 'Family Health History' section
- Navigate to another view or open a form.
- Navigate back to Medical Note and validate that you are returned to the section you were previously in with all data appearing as expected.
- Go to the 'Document' tab.
- Fill out the required sections on the 'Document' tab.
- Navigate to the 'HPI' section.
- Navigate to another view or open a form.
- Navigate back to Medical Note and validate that you are returned to the section you were previously in with all data appearing as expected.
- Validate the 'Psychiatry History' and 'Family Psychiatry History' fields are equal to the values saved on the 'Facesheet'.
- Change the 'Psychiatry History' and 'Family Psychiatry History' fields to any value.
- Navigate to the "MDM" section.
- Validate that the "Problems Addressed This Visit" section is not required.
- Validate that the "Risk of Significant Complications, Morbidity, and/or Mortality" field is not required.
- Complete the "MDM" fields.
- Go to the 'Facesheet' tab.
- Validate that your changes from the 'Document' tab are saved.
- Validate that the "Past Health History" section is reviewed.
- Validate that the "Family Health History" section is reviewed.
- Validate that the "Social History" section is reviewed.
- Go to the 'Finalize' tab.
- Fill out the required sections on the 'Finalize' tab.
- Click [Generate] in the "Note Summary" section.
- Sign off on the note and validate the document routing screen is displayed.
- Click [Sign and Route] and route it to the current user.
- Validate the appointment is removed from the appointment list.
- Navigate to the 'My To Do's' widget.
- Click [Documents To Sign].
- Validate there is a To Do for "Client A".
- Click [Review] and [Accept].
- Validate the 'Document Preview' contains a preview for the note generated via Medical Note in the previous steps.
- Click [Sign].
- Enter the password for the logged in user in the 'Password' field and click [Verify].
- Validate the To Do is no longer displayed for "Client A".
Scenario 3: Flowsheet - Switching between a specific episode and "All Episodes"
Specific Setup:
- A Collection of assessments must be configured to appear as a tab in Flowsheet. "Collection A"
- A 'Vital Signs' assessment must be configured to appear as part of "Collection A".
- A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
Steps
- Access the 'Flowsheet' widget.
- Validate the "Collection A" tab is selected.
- Validate no assessments are displayed.
- Validate a message is displayed that states: "Please select a patient to get started."
- Select "Client A".
- Validate any assessments associated to 'Collection A' are displayed.
- Complete the 'Vital Signs' assessment and click [Sign].
- Select "All Episodes" from the 'Header Episode' field.
- Validate a message is displayed that states: "Please select an episode to get started."
- Select the most recent episode from the 'Header Episode' field.
- Validate the previously saved assessment for "Client A" is displayed.
Scenario 4: Flowsheet - Switching between different clients
Specific Setup:
- A Collection of assessments must be configured to appear as a tab in Flowsheet. (Collection A)
- A 'Vital Signs' assessment must be configured to appear as part of "Collection A".
- Two clients must exist with active episodes. (Client A & Client B)
Steps
- Access the 'Flowsheet' widget.
- Validate the "Collection A" tab is selected.
- Validate no assessments are displayed.
- Validate a message is displayed that states: "Please select a patient to get started."
- Select "Client A".
- Validate any assessments associated to 'Collection A' are displayed.
- Complete the 'Vital Signs' assessment and click [Sign].
- Validate the data entered in the 'Vital Signs' assessment is saved in a new column with the current date and time.
- Select "Client B".
- Validate the assessment saved for "Client A" is not displayed.
- Select "Client A".
- Validate the previously saved assessment for "Client A" is displayed.
