Switching clients in the Order Entry Console (Home Medications section)
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
Scenario 1: OE NX - Verify Home Medications orders for two clients
Specific Setup:
- A client must have an active inpatient episode.(Client A)
- A client must have two an active inpatient episode for episode 1 and an active outpatient episode for episode 2. (Client B)
- “Client A” and “Client B” must have a ‘Date of Birth’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Diagnosis’ form.
- "Client A" must have both active and expired orders that reside in the Order Entry Console (Home Medications section).
- "Client B" must have both active and expired orders that reside in the Order Entry Console (Home Medications section) for episode 1.
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Click the 'Home Medications' tab.
- Select "Active + Expired" from the 'Status' field.
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains a fixed number of orders.
- Select "Client B" and double click the 'Home Medications' tab.
- Select "Episode 1" in 'Header Episode'.
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains a fixed number of orders, none of which are for "Client A".
- Select "Client A" and double click the 'Home Medications' tab.
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains a fixed number of orders, none of which are for "Client B".
