Client Header - Allergies
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Allergies and Hypersensitivities
Scenario 1: Allergies and Hypersensitivities - Client Header
Specific Setup:
  • The 'Set 'Allergies/Hypersensitivities Reviewed' If Allergies Are Updated' registry setting must be set to "N".
  • The 'Require Reaction Severity' registry setting must be set to "N".
  • Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
  • A client must be admitted into an active episode who does not have any information filed in the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form. (Client A)
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form.
  2. Validate the 'Client Header' displays "Allergies (0)".
  3. Validate that no value is selected in the 'Allergies/Hypersensitivities Reviewed' field.
  4. Click [Update] and [New Row].
  5. Create a food allergy for "SHELLFISH (MDX-2891)" and click [Save].
  6. Validate the 'Known Food Allergies' field is set to "Yes".
  7. Select "No" in the 'Known Medication Allergies' field.
  8. Validate that no value is selected in the 'Allergies/Hypersensitivities Reviewed' field.
  9. Select 'Yes' in the' Allergies/Hypersensitivities Reviewed' field and click [Submit].
  10. Select "Client A" and access the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form.
  11. Validate the 'Client Header' displays:
  12. Allergies (1) with a red icon
  13. Allergies Reviewed=Yes (current date)
  14. No Known Med Allergies
  15. 1) SHELLFISH - Confirmed
  16. Click [Update] and [New Row].
  17. Set the 2nd 'Allergen/Reactant' field to "Amoxicillin" and press Tab.
  18. Create a drug allergy "AMOXICILLIN (MDX-376) (RxNorm=723)".
  19. Set the 'Status' field for the Shellfish allergy to "Inactive" and click [Save].
  20. Validate the 'Known Medication Allergies' field is set to "Yes".
  21. Select "No" in the 'Known Food Allergies' field.
  22. Select 'Yes' in the 'Allergies/Hypersensitivities Reviewed' field and click [Submit].
  23. Access the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form for "Client A".
  24. Validate the 'Client Header' displays:
  25. Allergies (1) with a red icon
  26. Allergies Reviewed=Yes (current date)
  27. No Known Food Allergies
  28. 1) AMOXICILLIN - Confirmed
  29. Click [Update].
  30. Set the 'Status' field for the Amoxicillin allergy to "Inactive" and click [Save].
  31. Select "No" in the 'Known Medication Allergies' field.
  32. Select "Yes" in the 'Allergies/Hypersensitivities Reviewed' field.
  33. Click [Submit].
  34. Validate the 'Client Header' displays:
  35. Allergies (0)
  36. Allergies Reviewed=Yes (current date)
  37. No Known Med or Food Allergies
Scenario 2: Validate form access in the Client Header
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be admitted into an active episode and have 100 allergies on file (Client A).
  • There must be two users:
  • A user that is logged in and has full access to forms (User A).
  • A user that does not have access to the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form (User B).
  • The users' myDay view must be configured to include the Client Information header (View A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and navigate to "View A".
  2. Hover over the 'Allergies (100)' link in the 'Client Header'.
  3. Validate a flyover displays fifteen allergies listed and 85 more.
  4. Click the 'Allergies (100)' link.
  5. Validate a menu displays and the user can scroll through all the allergies.
  6. Close the menu.
  7. Click edit icon.
  8. Validate the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form opens.
  9. Validate the edit icon no longer displays in the 'Client Header'.
  10. Discard the form.
  11. Select "Client A" and launch the 'Client Dashboard'.
  12. Validate the 'Client Dashboard' displays as expected.
  13. Hover over the 'Allergies (100)' link in the 'Client Header'.
  14. Validate a flyover displays fifteen allergies listed and 85 more.
  15. Click the 'Allergies (100)' link.
  16. Validate a menu displays and the user can scroll through all the allergies.
  17. Close the menu.

  2. Select "Client A" in the 'Select Client' field.
  3. Select "Independent Note" in the 'Progress Note For' field.
  4. Select the desired value in the 'Note Type' field.
  5. Enter the desired value in the 'Notes Field' field.
  6. Click [Sign] in the 'Signature' field.
  7. Validate the 'Please Sign On Signature Pad' dialog is displayed.
  8. Sign very small on the signature pad.
  9. Validate the signature is scaled larger in the dialog.
  10. Click [OK].
  11. Validate the 'Signature' field contains the signature.
  12. Disconnect the signature pad.
  13. Click [Sign] in the 'Signature' field.
  14. Validate the 'Please Sign Below' dialog is displayed.
  15. Use the mouse to sign in the dialog box.
  16. Validate the dialog contains the signature.
  17. Click [OK].
  18. Validate the 'Please Sign Below' dialog is no longer displayed.
  19. Validate the 'Signature' field contains the new signature.
  20. Select "Final" in the 'Draft/Final' field.
  21. File the note.

Specific Setup:

  • In the product and modeled forms selected in the previous step, have documents generated for a client in multiple episodes (Client A).
  • The 'Sort Episodes by Admission Date' registry setting must be enabled.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Disclosure Management' form.
  2. Enter a date in the 'Request Date' field.
  3. Enter a date in the 'Request Information Start Date' field.
  4. Enter a date in the 'Request Information End Date' field.
  5. In the 'Requested Episode(s)' field, validate all episodes are listed and displayed in a readable format.
  6. Select the desired episodes to include.
  7. Select the desired items in the 'Requested Chart Items' field.
  8. Select the desired documents in the 'Requested Document Images' field.
  9. Enter an organization name in the 'Organization' field.
  10. Go to the 'Authorization' section.
  11. Select "Yes" in the 'Signed Authorization On File' field.
  12. Enter a date in the 'Authorization Start Date' field.
  13. Enter a date in the 'Authorization End Date' field.
  14. Validate all episodes are listed and displayed in a readable format in the 'Authorization Episode(s)' field.
  15. Select desired episodes to include in the 'Authorization Episode(s)' field.
  16. Click [Update Chart Items Authorized For Disclosure].
  17. Validate all items are set to "Yes" in the 'Authorized' field.
  18. Click [Save].
  19. Click [Refresh Chart Items].
  20. Click [Update Document Images Authorized for Disclosure].
  21. Validate all items are set "Yes" in the 'Authorized' field.
  22. Click the [Save].
  23. Click [Refresh Document Images].
  24. Go to the 'Disclosure' section.
  25. Enter a date in the 'Disclosure Date' field
  26. Enter a time in the 'Disclosure Time' field.
  27. Select "Electronic" in the 'Disclosure Method' field.
  28. Click [Process].
  29. Validate the items list in the 'Disclosure Management' panel are as expected.
  30. Select the item and click [View].

  22. Click [Yes].

  • A sub-system code must exist that limits episode access (Sub-System Code A).
  • The 'Prevent Non-Episodic Document Capture' registry setting must be blank.
  • A client must be admitted in an inpatient and outpatient episode (Client A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Client Dashboard'.
  2. Using 'Document Capture', scan or import in a document.
  3. Select "Non-episodic" in the 'Episode' field.
  4. Capture and save the document.
  5. Navigate to the 'All Documents' view.
  6. Validate the newly imported non-episodic document is present and select it.
  7. Validate the 'Console Widget Viewer' displays the document.
  8. Click [Close All].
  9. Open the client's dashboard.
  10. Using 'Document Capture', scan or import in a document.
  11. Select an outpatient episode in the 'Episode' field.

  9. Validate the 'Select Import Type' field is enabled and only "Import Report as Form" is selected.
  10. Validate all other populated data is still displayed.
  11. Select "Import Report for Document Routing" in the 'Select Import Type' field.
  12. Select "Update Existing Report" in the 'New or Existing Report' field.
  13. Select desired existing report in the 'Existing Report' field.
  14. Select "Import Report for Command Button Launch" in the 'Select Import Type' field.

  • A client must have an active episode whose program or unit is not configured in the 'External Pharmacy Setup' form. (Client A)
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Order Entry Console'.
  2. Search for and select "Order Group A" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Validate that the 'Taper/Titration' dialog is displayed.
  4. Validate that the 'Order Group Start Date' field contains the current date.
  5. Validate that the 'Start Time' field contains the current time.
  6. Validate that there are 4 rows.
  7. Click [Select All].
  8. Validate that all 4 rows are expanded to show additional fields.
  9. Validate that the 'Start Date' field for row 1 contains the current date.
  10. Validate that the 'Start Time' field for row 1 contains the current time.

Scenario 2: Order Group - Order Code Default Checked In Order Group
Specific Setup:
  • An order group must exist with multiple order codes and at least one order code that has 'Default To Selected When Selecting Orders From Order Group' set to "Yes" in the order group setup form. (Order Group A).
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Diagnosis’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select "Order Group A" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Uncheck the defaulted order code and select any other order code.
  4. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  5. Validate only the selected order has been added to the scratchpad.
  6. Select the order and fill out any required fields.
  7. Click [Update Order] and [Sign].

Scenario 1: Task List - Search for Patient outside of Caseload
Specific Setup:
  • A client must exist outside of the logged in user's caseload. (Client A)
  • A unit must exist with clients. (Unit A)
Steps
  1. Access the 'Nursing Caseload Assignment' form.
  2. Select "Unit A" from the 'Select Clients From Unit' field.
  3. Validate the 'Select Clients To Include In Current Caseload' field contains "Client A".
  4. Validate the 'Current Caseload' field does not contain "Client A".
  5. Select a few clients not including “Client A” and click [Move Selected Clients To Current Caseload].
  6. Click [Submit]
  7. Access the 'Task List' widget.
  8. Validate that while data is loading the 'Refresh Tasks' button shows "Loading..." and is disabled.
  9. Validate that after all data is finished loading, the 'Refresh Tasks' button is enabled and shows "Refresh Tasks".
  10. Validate the caseload is listed in ascending order by unit/room/bed
  11. Search for and select "Client A" from the 'Search Patients' field.
  12. Validate that while data is loading the 'Refresh Tasks' button shows "Loading..." and is disabled.
  13. Validate that after all data is finished loading, the 'Refresh Tasks' button is enabled and shows "Refresh Tasks".
  14. Validate that "Client A" is the only patient visible in the 'Task List' widget.
  15. Click the “x” in the ‘Search Patients’ field.
  16. Validate that while data is loading the 'Refresh Tasks' button shows "Loading..." and is disabled.
  17. Validate that after all data is finished loading, the 'Refresh Tasks' button is enabled and shows "Refresh Tasks".
  18. Validate the caseload refreshes to the default view.
Scenario 2: Task List - Filter Task List widget to view patients by Unit
Specific Setup:
  • A unit must exist that contains several clients. (Unit A)
Steps
  1. Access the 'Nursing Caseload Assignment' form.
  2. Select "Unit A" from the 'Select Clients From Unit' field.
  3. Validate several clients are displayed in the 'Select Clients To Include In Current Caseload' field and click [Discard].
  4. Validate a dialog is displayed that states: "Are you sure you want to Close without saving?" and click [Yes].
  5. Access the 'Task List' widget.
  6. Select "By Unit" from the 'View' field.
  7. Validate that while data is loading the 'Refresh Tasks' button shows "Loading..." and is disabled.
  8. Validate that after all data is finished loading, the 'Refresh Tasks' button is enabled and shows "Refresh Tasks".
  9. Select "Unit A" from the 'Unit' field.
  10. Validate that while data is loading the 'Refresh Tasks' button shows "Loading..." and is disabled.
  11. Validate that after all data is finished loading, the 'Refresh Tasks' button is enabled and shows "Refresh Tasks".
  12. Validate all clients from "Unit A" are displayed in the Task List view.

  6. Enter any value in the 'Diagnosis Search' field and press the 'Enter' key.
  7. Validate "Powered By IMO Terminology" displays under the search results.
  8. Select a diagnosis that has an associated SNOMED code.
  9. Enter "Practitioner A" in the 'Diagnosing Practitioner' field.
  10. Press the down arrow key to focus on "Practitioner A" and press the 'Enter' key.
  11. Validate the 'Diagnosing Practitioner' field contains "Practitioner A".
  12. Populate any desired and required fields.
  13. Select "Yes" in the 'Add to Problem List' field.
  14. Submit the form.
  15. Access the 'Problem List' form.
  16. Click [Enter Problems].
  17. Validate the new diagnosis is included.
  18. Click [View - DSM/IDC Code].
  19. Validate a dialog opens with the DSM/IDC code data for the problem.
  20. Close out of the dialog.
  21. Click [View - System Notes].
  22. Validate the dialog displays the user information for the problem.

Scenario 2: 'Results Entry' - Add/Edit Results
Specific Setup:
  • A client is enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • A diagnostic code must be defined (Code A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Results Entry' form.
  2. Select "Add" in the 'Add/Edit/Delete Result' field.
  3. Populate all required and desired fields.
  4. Enter any value in the 'Diagnostic Code' field.
  5. Validate the 'Select Order' button does not overlap the search results and select the desired value.
  6. Press the down arrow key to focus on "Code A" and press the 'Enter' key.
  7. Validate the 'Diagnostic Code' field contains "Code A".
  8. Click [File Header Info].
  9. Validate a message is displayed stating: Header information filed.
  10. Click [OK].
  11. Select "Edit" in the 'Add/Edit/Delete Result' field.
  12. Click [Select Result].
  13. Select the result filed in the previous steps from the 'Select Result' dialog and click [OK].
  14. Validate all previously filed data is displayed.
  15. Update any desired fields.
  16. Click [File Header Info].
  17. Validate a message is displayed stating: Header information filed.
  18. Click [OK] and [Exit Option].

Steps
  1. Access the 'Data Import' form.
  2. Click [Select Data Import File].
  3. Validate a dialog stating: "Warning!! The file upload process may take a few minutes to process." and click [OK].
  4. Select "File A" and click [Open].
  5. Validate the 'Select Data Import File' button is disabled.
  6. Click [Validate Data Import File].
  7. Validate a 'Confirm' dialog stating: "There are 1 or more errors within the file import." and click [OK].
  8. Validate the error(s) display in the 'Errors and Warnings' field.
  9. Validate the 'Validate Data Import File' button is disabled.
  10. Click [Download Data Import Error/Warning File].
  11. Validate the file downloads and the 'Download Data Import Error/Warning File' button is disabled.

Specific Setup:
  • Two clients must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A) and (Client B).
  • A user is a staff member and has the 'My To Do's' widget on their myDay view (User A).
  • "User A" is defined with an associated staff member and logged in.
  • Another user must be defined (User B).
  • "Client A" must and have a progress note routed to "User A" for approval.
  • Document routing must be enabled for the 'Individual Progress Note' form.
  • Please note: This is for Avatar NX systems.
Steps
  1. Access the undocked 'Individual Progress Note' form.
  2. Validate the undocked 'Individual Progress Note' form opens.
  3. Switch to the myDay view.
  4. Navigate to the 'My To Dos' widget.
  5. Navigate to the 'Document to Sign' for "Client A" and click [Review].
  6. Switch to the undocked 'Individual Progress Note' form.
  7. Select "Client B" in the 'Select Client' field.
  8. Populate all required and desired fields.
  9. Select "Final" in the 'Draft/Final' field.
  10. Click [Submit Note].
  11. Validate that the 'Confirm Document' dialog is displayed with the progress note data, including an electronic signature at the bottom for the current user/staff member as the Author.
  12. Click [Sign and Route].

  • A user must have the 'My To Do's' widget configured on a view (User B).
  • Various To Do's must include:

  • Review Results (To Do B)
  • Review To Do Item (To Do C)
Steps
  1. Navigate to the 'My To Do's' widget.
  2. Validate "To Do A", "To Do B", and "To Do C" display.
  3. Validate the 'Ellipsis' displays.
  4. Click this and validate 'Reassign To Do' is disabled.
  5. Select "Create Note to Self" from the menu.
  6. Validate a 'Note to Self' dialog and type any value in the 'Create a new note' field.
  7. Click [OK].

  8. Validate the 'Freq' field contains "TWICE A DAY".

  13. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].

  15. Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].

Scenario 2: OENX - Order Group, that has one order selected by default, contains an order code with a 'Frequency' that is configured as One Time Only, Not Daily and has a Schedule Administration Hour of 08:00 AM
Specific Setup:
  • A frequency code must exist that is configured as follows:(Frequency Code A)
  • 'Routine or PRN(As Needed)' is set to "Routine"
  • 'One Time Only' is set to "Yes"
  • 'Interval Frequency' is set to "No"
  • 'Daily Administration' is set to "Not Daily"
  • 'Days Administered' has "Tuesday", "Thursday", and "Saturday" checked.
  • 'Times/24 Hours' is set to "1"
  • "08:00" is checked in the 'AM(06:00-11:30 AM) field under 'Hours of Administration (Check appropriate hours of administration, if any)'.
  • The 'Yes' checkbox is checked in the 'Default To Selected When Selecting Orders From Order Group' field.
  • An order group must exist that contains the following orders: (Order Group A)
  • A pharmacy-type order code (Order Code A) with a 'Frequency Code' set to "Frequency Code A".
  • A pharmacy-type order code (Order Code B) with a 'Frequency Code' set to "TWICE A DAY", which is "Daily" and has 'Scheduled Hours of Administration' of "09:00 AM" and "09:00 PM".
  • A client must have and active episode. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select "Order Group A" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Validate the 'Order Group' dialog is displayed and contains "Order Code A" and "Order Code B".
  4. Validate that "Order Code A" is not selected by default.
  5. Validate the checkbox for "Order Code B" is selected.
  6. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  7. Select "Tablet" in the 'Dose Unit' field.
  8. Validate the 'Freq' field contains "TWICE A DAY".
  9. Set the 'Dose' field to "1"
  10. Set the 'Duration' to any value and click [Days].
