Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Append Progress Notes
  • HomeView - Console Widget Viewer
  • HomeView - Progress Notes Widget
  • Progress Notes (Group and Individual)
  • Registry Settings (PM)
  • Console Widget Viewer
Scenario 1: Validate appending to a Progress Note via the "Console Widget Viewer" (Append Security Level Override -Enabled)
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • Have console widget created for the progress note form using the 'Console Widget Configuration' form ('Progress Notes' Console Widget).
  • Document routing must be enabled for the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  • The 'Append Progress Notes: Limit Append to Original Author' registry setting must be enabled.
  • The 'Append Security Level Override' registry setting must be set to "3". (Note: This setting will override the 'Limit Append To Original Author' registry setting)
  • There must be 4 users:
  • A user with an associated practitioner (Practitioner A) that's logged in (User A).
  • "User A" has the 'My To Do's' widget configured to a view and has a 'User Security Level' of "3" in the 'User Definition' form.
  • A user that has a 'User Security Level' of "3" in the 'User Definition' form (User B).
  • A user that has a 'User Security Level' higher than "3" in the 'User Definition' form (User C).
  • A user that has a 'User Security Level' lower than "3" in the 'User Definition' form (User D).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  2. Populate all required and desired fields.
  3. Select "Final" in the 'Draft/Final' field.
  4. Click [Submit Note].
  5. Validate the note displays as expected in the 'Confirm Document' dialog and click [Sign and Route].
  6. Enter the password and click [Verify].
  7. In the 'Route Document to' dialog select "Practitioner A" and click [Submit].
  8. Close the form.
  9. Navigate to the 'My To Do's' widget.
  10. Validate the document for "Client A" is present and click [Review].
  11. Validate the document displays as expected.
  12. Click [Accept] and [Sign].
  13. Enter the password and click [Verify].
  14. Select "Client A" and navigate to the 'Progress Notes' console widget.
  15. Validate an entry displays for "Client A" and click [View].
  16. Validate the note displays as expected in the 'Console Widget Viewer'.
  17. Click [Append].
  18. Validate the 'Append Progress Notes' form launches.
  19. Validate all the fields are populated in the form, as expected.
  20. Enter the desired value in the 'New Comments to Be Appended to the Original Document' field.
  21. Click [Submit].
  22. Validate the 'Confirm Document' dialog contains all the notes' data including the comments added.

Scenario 2: Validate the 'Limit Append to Original Author' registry setting - Progress Note via the "Console Widget Viewer"
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • Have console widget created for the progress note form using the 'Console Widget Configuration' form ('Progress Notes' Console Widget).
  • There must have two users:
  • A user that's logged in and has a practitioner associated (Practitioner A) (User A).
  • Another user (User B)
  • Have the "Progress Notes" Console Widget, the "Console Widget Viewer" and the "My To Do's" widget added to both of the user's home view.
  • Document routing must be enabled for the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  • The 'Append Progress Notes: Limit Append to Original Author' registry setting must be enabled.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  2. Populate all required and desired fields.
  3. Select "Final" in the 'Draft/Final' field.
  4. Click [Submit Note].
  5. Validate the note displays as expected in the 'Confirm Document' dialog and click [Sign and Route].
  6. Enter the password and click [Verify].
  7. In the 'Route Document to' dialog select "Practitioner A" and click [Submit].
  8. Close the form.
  9. Navigate to the 'My To Do's' widget.
  10. Validate the document for "Client A" is present and click [Review].

Specific Setup:
  • Have a Modeled form with document routing enabled (Form A).
  • Have console widget created for the modeled form using the 'Console Widget Configuration' form.
  • Have the modeled form console widget (Widget A), the 'Console Widget Viewer' and the 'My To Do's' widget, added to all of the user's home view.
  • The Append Documents 'Limit Append to Original Author' registry setting must be enabled.
  • There must be three users:
  • A user that's logged in and has a practitioner associated (Practitioner A) and has access to "Form A" and the 'Append Documents' form (User A).
  • A user has to access "Form A" and the 'Append Documents' form (User B).
  • A user who has access to "Form A" but does not have access to the 'Append Documents' form (User C).
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access "Form A".
  2. Populate all the desired fields on the form.
  3. Select "Final" in the 'Draft/Final' field.
  4. Click [Submit].
  5. Validate the 'Confirm Document' dialog contains the expected data.
  6. Click [Sign and Route].
  7. Enter the password and click [Verify].
  8. In the 'Route Document to' dialog select "Practitioner A" and click [Submit].
  9. Navigate to the 'My To Do's' widget.
  10. Validate the document for "Client A" is present and click [Review].
  11. Validate the document displays as expected.
  12. Click [Accept] and [Sign].
  13. Enter the password and click [Verify].
  14. Navigate to "Widget A".

Specific Setup:
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • A Documentation View must be set up on a user's view containing the 'All Documents' widget and the 'Console Widget Viewer' for both users. ('All Documents' view).
  • The 'My To-Do's' widget must be configured to a view for both users.
  • A Category (Category A) must be created in 'Document Management Definition' with the desired document types "Category A" must be selected in 'All Documents Widget Definition - Multi-Document Tab'.
  • Document routing must be enabled for the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  • Both of the 'Limit Append To Original Author' registry settings must be enabled.
  • There must be two users:
  • A user must have an associated Practitioner (Practitioner A) and be logged in (User A).
  • Another defined user.
  • Please note: This is for Avatar NX systems.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  2. Fill out all required fields.
  3. Select "Final" in the 'Draft/Final' field.
  4. Click [Submit Note].
  5. Validate the note displays in the 'Confirm Document' dialog and click [Sign and Route].
  6. Enter the password and click [Verify].
  7. Select "Practitioner A" and click [Add].
  8. Click [Submit].
  9. Validate a 'Progress Notes' dialog stating: "Note Filed." and click [OK].
  10. Close the form.

Scenario 1: 'Internal Client Referrals' - form validation
Specific Setup:
  • In the 'Internal Referral Type Maintenance' form, must have a referral type defined that is associated to a modeled form and a user associated to receive the internal referrals.
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • The 'My To's' widget must be assigned to the myDay view.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Internal Client Referrals' form.
  2. Select "Client A" in the 'Client Being Referred' field.
  3. Select any value in the 'Internal Referral Type Category' field.
  4. Select any value in the 'Internal Referral Type Being Requested' field.
  5. Select the desired episode.
  6. Click [Initiate Internal Referral Process].
  7. Validate the modeled form associated with the referral opens in a new window.
  8. Populate the modeled form.
  9. Click [Submit].
  10. Validate the 'Internal Client Referrals' field remains open and the previous values have been cleared.
  11. Access the 'Process Internal Referrals' form.
  12. Select the row pertaining to "Client A" in the 'Internal Referral' grid.
  13. Select "Accepted" in the 'Internal Referral Status' field.
  14. Click [Process Internal Referral].
  15. Validate a message is displayed stating "The Internal Referral has been processed successfully".
  16. Click [OK]
  17. Navigate to the 'My To Do's' widget.

Scenario 1: OE NX - Orders This Episode - special Characters in the free text fields while in external pharmacy mode
Specific Setup:
  • A client must have an active episode where the program or unit are set up in the 'External Pharmacy Setup' form. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select any pharmacy-type order code. (Order Code A)
  3. Enter "1" in the 'Dose' field.
  4. Select "Tablet" from the 'Dose Unit' field.
  5. Select "Twice a Day" from the 'Freq' field.
  6. Fill in any remaining required fields.
  7. Enter the following in the 'Addl Instructions' field: "This is test data that contains a degree° symbol and a character with an accent  as well as this em dash—."

Specific Setup:
  • Two clients must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A) and (Client B).
  • A user is a staff member and has the 'My To Do's' widget on their myDay view (User A).
  • "User A" is defined with an associated staff member and logged in.
  • Another user must be defined (User B).
  • "Client A" must and have a progress note routed to "User A" for approval.
  • Document routing must be enabled for the 'Individual Progress Note' form.
Steps
  1. Access the undocked 'Individual Progress Note' form.
  2. Validate the undocked 'Individual Progress Note' form opens.
  3. Switch to the myDay view.
  4. Navigate to the 'My To Dos' widget.
  5. Navigate to the 'Document to Sign' for "Client A" and click [Review].
  6. Switch to the undocked 'Individual Progress Note' form.
  7. Select "Client B" in the 'Select Client' field.
  8. Populate all required and desired fields.
  9. Select "Final" in the 'Draft/Final' field.
  10. Click [Submit Note].
  11. Validate that the 'Confirm Document' dialog is displayed with the progress note data, including an electronic signature at the bottom for the current user/staff member as the Author.
  12. Click [Sign and Route].
  13. Enter the password associated with the logged in user and click [Verify].
  14. Validate the 'Route Document To' dialog is displayed.
  15. Select the "User A" as the 'Approver'.

  • Each form must have a different document types associated within the 'Document Routing Setup' form.
  • There must be 2 users:

  47. Validate the ‘Refills’ field contains "0" and is disabled.

Scenario 1: Progress Notes (Group and Individual) - File an existing appointment note with document routing enabled
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A) and have an existing appointment (Appointment A).
  • Document Routing must be enabled on the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  • User must have browser zoomed in to at least 150%.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  2. Enter "s" in the 'Select Client' field.
  3. Validate many results are returned.
  4. Validate the ability to page through the results.
  5. Select "Client A" and the episode associated with appointment.
  6. Select "Existing Appointment" in the 'Progress Note For' field.
  7. Select "Appointment A" in the 'Note Addresses Which Existing Service/Appointment' field.
  8. Select a note type from the 'Note Type' field.
  9. Enter any value in the 'Notes' field.
  10. Select "Final" in the 'Draft/Final' field.
  11. Click [Submit Note].
  12. Validate the document is displayed as expected in the 'Confirm Document' dialog and click [Sign]
  13. Enter the password associated with the logged in user and click [Verify].
  14. Validate a 'Progress Notes' dialog stating: "Note Filed." and click [OK].
  15. Validate the 'Select Client' field is blank.
  16. Close the form.
  17. Access the 'Client Ledger' form.
  18. Enter "s" in the 'Client ID' field.
  19. Validate many results are returned.
  20. Validate the ability to page through the results.
  21. Select "Client A".
  22. Select "All Episodes" in the 'Claim/Episode/All Episodes' field.
  23. Select "Simple" in the 'Ledger Type' field.
