Avatar NX: eMAR
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
- Avatar eMAR
- Avatar eMAR - Administration Event dialog
- Avatar eMAR - Administration Record - Order Acknowledgment
- Avatar eMAR - Client Education dialog
Scenario 1: eMAR - Administer an order - for (2) different clients (Avatar NX)
Specific Setup:
- The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Retain Qty/Unit if Med ID does not start with a numeral' registry setting must be set to "Y"
- The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Time Format Displayed in Avatar eMAR' registry setting must be set to "2".
- The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Support Medication ID' registry setting must be set to "Y".
- Please log out and log back in after configuring the above.
- Two Clients must exist that each have a pharmacy type order (Order A) ready to be administered in Avatar eMAR with no scheduled hours of administration. (Client A) (Client B).
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the 'eMAR' widget.
- Validate that "Order A" is displayed and contains now hours of administration under the current date.
- Double click on any cell under the current date.
- Set the 'Med ID' cell to "N/A".
- Validate the 'Qty' field remains populated with the same value.
- Validate the 'Unit' field remains populated with the same value.
- Set the 'Administration Event' field to any successful administration event.
- Click the [Warning - View] button.
- Override all warnings and click [OK]
- Check the 'Accept administration information entered' checkbox and click [OK].
- Validate the cell selected contains the 'Quantity' and 'Unit' of the administered order with the current time.
- Deselect Client A in the 'My Clients' widget.
- Select "Client B" from the 'My Clients' widget and navigate to the 'eMAR' view.
- Validate that "Client B's" orders are displayed as expected.
- Navigate to another browser window for approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Navigate back to the browser tab for Avatar NX (eMAR) and validate that a session time out message is displayed stating "The session has timed out" "New Session" or "Sign Out".
- Select "New Session" and validate that the eMAR screen displays the orders for "Client B" as expected.
