Avatar NX - Crystal Reports with Hyperlinks
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Chrome Browser Window
  • Crystal Report Viewer
Scenario 1: Modeled Form - Launching a report with a URL
Specific Setup:
  • Have a modeled form (Form A).
  • "Form A" must have a command button that launches a report that contains a URL (Test Report Button).
  • "Form A" must have a field to enter the desired URL (Report_URL).
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access 'Form A'.
  2. Enter the desired URL in the 'Report_URL' field.
  3. Click [Test Report Button].
  4. Validate the report launches.
  5. Click the hyperlink and validate the URL launches in a new browser tab.
  6. Close the report and navigate back to 'Form A'.
  7. Close the form.

Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • CareFabric Monitor
  • Update Client Data
  • Document Management Definition

  • ZIP Code Table Maintenance (PM)
  • Progress Note Viewer
Scenario 1: CareFabric Monitor - Validate the 'ClientUpdated' SDK event
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • Registry setting 'Utilize Local Workstation Time Zone' must be enabled.
  • User must run this twice.
  • User must update the time zone on their workstation to any time zone other than EST prior to logging in for the first test run.
  • User must update the time zone on their workstation back to their normal time zone prior to logging in for a second test run.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Update Client Data' form.
  2. Update the desired fields and click [Submit].
  3. Access the 'CareFabric Monitor' form.
  4. Enter the current date in the 'From Date' field.
  5. Enter the current date in the 'Through Date' field.
  6. Enter "Client A" in the 'Client ID' field.
  7. Select "All" in the 'Activity Direction' field.
  8. Enter "clientupdated" in the 'Event/Action Search' field.
  9. Select "No" in the 'Show Errors Only' field.
  10. Click [View Activity Log].
  11. Validate the Crystal report opens in a new window and contains the correct run date and time.
  12. Click [Close Report].
  13. Close the form.
Scenario 2: Document Management Definition - validate reports
Specific Setup:
  • Documents and categories are defined in 'Document Management Definition'.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Document Management Definition' form.
  2. Select 'Reports'.
  3. Click [Display Form Report].
  4. Validate a report launches in a new window.
  5. Validate the report contains the current date and time in the 'Run Date' field.
  6. Click [Close Report].
  7. Click [Display Category Report].
  8. Validate a report launches in a new window.
  9. Validate the report contains the current date and time in the 'Run Date' field.
  10. Click [Close Report].
  11. Click [Categories Without Forms].
  12. Validate the report launches in a new window.
  13. Validate the report says "No Data Found For Report".
  14. Click [Close Report].
  15. Click [Forms Without Categories].
  16. Validate a report launches in a new window.
  17. Validate the report contains the current date and time in the 'Run Date' field.
  18. Click [Close Report].
  19. Click [Forms Without Documents].
  20. Validate a report launches in a new window.
  21. Validate the report says "No Data Found For Report".
  22. Click [Close Report].
  23. Close the form.
Scenario 3: Zip Code Table Maintenance - Print All State
Specific Setup:
  • Registry setting 'Utilize Local Workstation Time Zone' must be enabled.
  • User must update the time zone on their workstation to differ than the server time.
Steps
  1. Access the 'ZIP Code Table Maintenance' form.
  2. Select the 'Print ZIP Code Table' field.
  3. Select "All" in the 'Individual or All States' field.
  4. Click [Print Zip Code Table].
  5. Switch to the 'ZIP Code Table Maintenance' report.
  6. Validate the Crystal report opens in a new window and contains the current date and time.
  7. Click [Export/Print Report].
  8. Validate the report opens as a PDF in a new browser tab.
  9. Click [Print].
  10. Validate the PDF report has access to your local printers and that the user can save as a PDF as well.
  11. Click [Cancel].
  12. Close the PDF report tab.
  13. Switch back to the Crystal Report window.
  14. Click [Close Report].
  15. Switch to the 'ZIP Code table Maintenance' form.
  16. Close the form.
Scenario 4: Progress Note Viewer - Validate and Print a Progress Note Crystal Report
Specific Setup:
  • There must be two users defined (User A & User B).
  • Two clients must be admitted to an active episode with Progress Notes filed (Client A & Client B).
Steps
  1. Login as "User A".
  2. Select "Client A" and access the 'Progress Note Viewer' form.
  3. Enter a past date in the 'Start Date' field.
  4. Enter today's date in the 'End Date' field.
  5. Select "All" in the 'Note Type To Display' field.
  6. Select "No" in the 'Sort By Practitioner' field.
  7. Open a second tab for Avatar NX and Login as "User B".
  8. Select "Client B" and access the 'Progress Note Viewer' form.
  9. Enter a past date in the 'Start Date' field.
  10. Enter today's date in the 'End Date' field.
  11. Select "All" in the 'Note Type To Display' field.
  12. Select "No" in the 'Sort By Practitioner' field.
  13. Click [Print Progress Notes].
  14. Validate a report launches in a new window for "Client B".
  15. Validate the report contains the current date and time in the 'Run Date' field.
  16. Switch to "User A".
  17. Click [Print Progress Notes].
  18. Validate a report launches in a new window for "Client A".
  19. Validate the report contains the current date and time in the 'Run Date' field.
  20. Click [Close Report].
  21. Close the form.
  22. Close out of windows for "User B".

Scenario 1: Zip Code Table Maintenance - Launch reports with multiple logged in users
Specific Setup:
  • There must be two users defined (User A & User B).
Steps
  1. Login as "User A" and access the 'ZIP Code Table Maintenance' form.
  2. Open a second tab for Avatar NX.
  3. Login as "User B" and access the 'ZIP Code Table Maintenance' form.
  4. Select 'Print ZIP Code Table'
  5. Select "Individual" in the 'Individual or All States' field.
  6. Select any state from the 'Specific State' field.
  7. Click [Print Zip Code Table].
  8. Validate the Crystal report opens in a new window with the correct state data.
  9. Switch to "User A".
  10. Select 'Print ZIP Code Table'
  11. Select "Individual" in the 'Individual or All States' field.
  12. Select a different state from the 'Specific State' field.
  13. Click [Print Zip Code Table].
  14. Validate the Crystal report opens in a new window with the correct state data.
  15. Click [Export/Print Report].
  16. Validate the report opens as a PDF in a new browser tab with the correct state data.
  17. Switch to "User B" report.
  18. Click [Export/Print Report].
  19. Validate the report opens as a PDF in a new browser tab with the correct state data.
  20. Close the PDF report tab.
  21. Switch back to the Crystal Report window.
  22. Click [Close Report].
  23. Switch to the 'ZIP Code table Maintenance' form.
  24. Close the form.
  25. Close out of windows for "User A".
