Avatar NX Report Viewer - Report Definition Reports
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Avatar NX Report Viewer
  • Print Treatment Plan
  • Crystal Report Viewer
  • Treatment/Discharge Summary
  • Master Client Inquiry
  • Group Attendance Report
  • Provider Service List Report
Scenario 1: Print a 'Draft' and a 'Final' Treatment plan using the 'Print Treatment Plan' form.
Specific Setup:
  • User must have access to the form 'Print Treatment Plan' in the 'Select Forms for User Access' of the 'Forms and Tables' section of 'User Definition'.
  • A client must exist in an active episode with a Treatment Plan filed in draft and final status (Client A).
Steps
  1. Select 'Client A' and access the 'Print Treatment Plan' form.
  2. Select any value from the 'Select Episode' field.
  3. Select any value from the 'Select Treatment Plan' field.
  4. Select any draft value from the 'Select Client Plan' field.
  5. Click [Print Treatment Plan].
  6. Validate that the report opens in a new window and displays the data as expected.
  7. Click [Close Report].
  8. Select any value from the 'Select Episode' field.
  9. Select any value from the 'Select Treatment Plan' field.
  10. Select any final value from the 'Select Client Plan' field.
  11. Click [Print Treatment Plan].
  12. Validate that the report opens in a new window and displays the data as expected.
  13. Click [Close Report].
Scenario 2: Avatar NX: Crystal Reports with multiple ODBC connections for cache databases
Specific Setup:
  • A crystal report with multiple ODBC connections (ex. PM, CWS) must exist in the system (ex. 'Treatment/Discharge Summary' form contains, 'Treatment Discharge Summary' report and the 'Referral Letter' report).
  • A report definition report must exist in the system with multiple ODBC Connections (ex. CWS, PM)
  • A client must have data filed in the 'Treatment/Discharge Summary' form in the 'Treatment/Discharge Summary' and 'Referral' sections (Client A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" from the 'My Clients' widget and access any form that has a report with multiple ODBC connections (PM, CWS) - (ex. 'Treatment/Discharge Summary').
  2. Select any episode from the 'Select Episode' field.
  3. Select any record from the 'Select Record' field.
  4. Click [Edit].
  5. Validate that a 'Treatment/Discharge Summary' displays stating "This summary is marked as Final. Changes are not allowed. Do you want to continue?".
  6. Click [Yes].
  7. Select the 'Referral' tab.
  8. Validate that a 'Treatment/Discharge Summary' displays stating "This summary is marked as Final. Changes are not allowed".
  9. Click [OK].
  10. Click [Print Referral Letter].
  11. Validate the Crystal Report displays the data for Client A as expected.
  12. Click [Close Report].
  13. Select the 'Treatment/Discharge Summary' tab.
  14. Click [Submit].
  15. Validate that a 'Treatment/Discharge Summary' message is displayed stating "The selected summary was previously marked as Final. Changes are not allowed. Would you like to view the Treatment/Discharge Summary report?".
  16. Click [Yes]
  17. Validate the Crystal Report displays the data for Client A as expected.
  18. Click [Close Report].
Scenario 3: Report Definition - Sub Reports (Master Client Inquiry)
Specific Setup:
  • Client must be admitted to an active episode (Client A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" from the 'My Clients' list and access the 'Master Client Inquiry' form.
  2. Validate that Client A's name appears in the 'Select Patient' field.
  3. Select any value from the 'Select Episode Number' field.
  4. Click [Process].
  5. Select the 'Diagnosis History' link in the sub report.
  6. Validate that the 'Diagnosis History Data' displays as expected.
  7. Select the 'Episode History' link in the sub report.
  8. Validate that the 'Episode History Data' displays as expected.
  9. Select the 'Main Report' tab.
  10. Click [Close Report].
  11. Click [Discard].
Scenario 4: Report Definition Report Validation
Specific Setup:
  • A modeled 'Report Definition' report must be configured in the system.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Group Attendance Report' form.
  2. Select the desired value in the RRG field
  3. Set the 'Note Start Date' field to the desired date.
  4. Set the 'Note End Date' field to the desired date.
  5. Click [Process].
  6. Validate that the crystal report displays the 'Group Attendance Report' data as expected.
  7. Click [Close Report].
  8. Click [Discard].
  9. Access the 'Provider Service List Report' form.
  10. Select the desired value in the 'Staff' field.
  11. Select the desired value in the 'Service Code' field.
  12. Select the desired value in the 'Level of Care' field.
  13. Set the 'Start Date' field to the desired date.
  14. Set the 'End Date' field to the desired date.
  15. Click [Process].
  16. Validate that the crystal report displays the 'Provider Service List Report' data as expected.
  17. Click [Close Report].
  18. Click [Discard].
