MSO - CPT Code Definition - Limit License Type(s) Allowed
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Dictionary Update (MSO)
  • CPT Code Definition (MSO)
Scenario 1: MSO - CPT Code Definition - 'limit_lic_type_code' in the 'SYSTEM.table_cpt_service_codes' table
Specific Setup:
  • MSO Dictionary Update: Performing Provider File: (10001) Performing Provider's License Type:
  • The dictionary has been updated to have more than 50 ‘Dictionary Codes’, with a code length of ‘10’ in each code.
Steps
  1. Open the MSO 'CPT Code Definition' form.
  2. Select ‘Add’ in ‘Add/Edit/Delete CPT Code’.
  3. Add the desired values to the form.
  4. Select ‘All’ in ‘Limit License Type(s) Allowed’.
  5. Click [File CPT Service Code].
  6. Click [OK].
  7. Close the form.
  8. Create a query of the new CPT Code in the 'SYSTEM.table_cpt_service_codes' table and validate that the 'limit_lic_type_code' field contains 500 characters.
