Product Update Form Description

The following changes are made: 1)The data warehouse mappings were corrected for each namespace. 2)The tables 'SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_current' and 'SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_admit' will always be marked for a full load during the Data Warehouse middleware load. 3)An issue where table views are not marked for full load during the background journal process has been resolved. 4)Performance improvements have been made to the Data Warehouse background journal process.

Data Warehouse - Background Journal Processing
Improvements have been made to the Data Warehouse "Background Journal Process" to address issues where errors could occur during processing when loading tables marked for full load. In addition, the process is updated to always full load the 'SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_current' and 'SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_admit' tables, to address errors that could occur processing the tables

Data Warehouse - Background Journal Processing
Scenario 1: Data Warehouse - 'Background Journal Process' Table load validation
Specific Setup:
  • Have a system that's up to date with all "Avatar Data Warehouse" updates
  • In form "User Definition", have a user created as designated data warehouse user [DWuser] and assign the user permissions to the following table's: 'SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_current', 'SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_admit' , 'SYSTEM.RADplus_caseload', SYSTEM.RADplus_database_locks, and SYSTEM.cw_grnote_garb_collector
  • Have one or more rows of data that exist in each table assigned in the first setup step. Note the number of rows in each table
  • In form "Data Warehouse Transient Comparison Configuration" form:
  • Navigate to the "Mark Tables For Full Load" section and select the [DWUser]
  • In the "SQL Tables" list box, select all the tables assigned in the first setup step except the 'SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_current', 'SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_admit' tables, as these will now automatically be selected for full load
  • Click "Mark Selected Tables for Full Load".
  • Have Netsmart run the "Data Warehouse" Background Journal Process
  • Have a report or query that will display data in the "SYSTEM.dss_inc_full_load" table. [ReportA]
  • Have a report or query that will display data in the "SYSTEM.dss_inc_error_log" table. [ReportB]
Steps
  1. Open [ReportA], to display results in the "SYSTEM.dss_inc_full_load"
  2. Click to generate the report
  3. Validate the data results include the "SYSTEM.cw_grnote_garb_collector" table and with the expected number of rows processed
  4. Validate the data results include the " SYSTEM.RADplus_caseload " table and with the expected number of rows processed
  5. Validate the data results include the "SYSTEM.RADplus_database_locks" table and with the expected number of rows processed
  6. Validate the data results include the "SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_current" table and with the expected number of rows processed
  7. Validate the data results include the "SYSTEM.view_episode_summary_admit" table and with the expected number of rows processed
  8. Open [ReportB] to display results from the "SYSTEM.dss_inc_error_log"
  9. Validate there are no results, indicating all tables in step 1 were loaded successfully during the "Background Journal Process"
