Product Update Description

The following changes are made: 1) Added a new field 'Form Serial Number' to the forms: 'Cal-OMS Discharge', 'Cal-OMS Administrative Discharge', 'Cal-OMS Youth/Detox Discharge', and 'Cal-OMS Annual Update', as well as updating the corresponding web services. 2) The 'Cal-OMS Admission' and 'Cal-OMS Discharge' forms are updated to allow all providers to select Methadone as an option for the field 'Which of the following medication is prescribed as part of treatment?' without receiving an error message if the registry setting 'Enable LA County Reporting Requirements' is set to 'Y' or 'N'. 3) Added support for additional fields to the following web services: 'Cal-OMS Admission', 'Cal-OMS Annual Update' and 'Cal-OMS Discharge', when the registry setting 'Enable LA County Reporting Requirements' is set to "Y". Note: Avatar CareFabric 2024 Update 19 is required to make use of this functionality.

The 'Form Serial Number' field is added to the Avatar Cal-PM 'Cal-OMS Annual Update', 'Cal-OMS Discharge', 'Cal-OMS Administrative Discharge' and 'Cal-OMS Youth/Detox Discharge' forms.

The 'Form Serial Number' field is added to the following forms, as a read-only field containing same Form Serial Number value as related Cal-OMS Admission record:

  • Avatar Cal-PM Registry Setting 'Enable Form Serial Number in Cal-OMS Admission' may optionally be enabled/disabled

  1. Open Avatar Cal-PM 'Cal-OMS Annual Update' form.
  2. Select client record/Cal-OMS Admission episode for Cal-OMS Annual Update entry/edit.
  3. Click 'Add' button to enter new Cal-OMS Annual Update record, or select existing Cal-OMS Annual Update record for view/edit in pre-display and click 'Edit' button.
  4. Enter/select value for 'Annual Update Date' and 'Associated Level of Care' field (if enabled/present).
  5. Ensure 'Form Serial Number' is present in form; ensure 'Form Serial Number' field is disabled/read-only.
  6.
