Product Update Form Description

The following changes are made: 1) An issue with the 'POC Results Entry' form where the error '[UNDEFINED]FileResultsVitalsSigns+8^POCResultsEntryVitalSigns' may occur is resolved. 2) An issue with the 'POC Results Entry' form where the collection times would not prompt in is resolved. 3) The 'POC Results Entry' form is enhanced to support the filing of the 'result report change date' and the 'result report change time'. 4) An issue in the 'POC Results Entry Configuration' form where the field 'Save As Vital Sign' does not populate with the correct values is resolved.

The following issues have been resolved.
1) An issue is resolved to ensure the 'POC Results Entry' form can be filed.
2) An issue is resolved in the 'POC Results Entry Configuration' form to ensure that the 'Save As Vital Sign' field is populated with the correct values.

POC Results Entry Configuration - 'Save As Vital Sign'
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Avatar eMAR
  • Orders This Episode
  • POC Results Entry Configuration
Scenario 1: eMAR - Administering an order and entering a Result for an order with vitals, editing the vitals and voiding the vitals
Specific Setup:
  • Avatar CWS 2022 Update 8, Avatar OE 2021 Update 50, Avatar eMAR 2021 Update 20 and RADplus Client Update 3201-003 are required in order to utilize full functionality.
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->Use separate 'Infusion Details' tab for IVs on eMAR Administration Event dialog' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • The 'Avatar eMAR->General->Settings->->->'Require client wristband scan in Avatar eMAR' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • The 'POC Results Entry Configuration' form must have an observation defined that has a value selected in the 'Save as Vital Sign' field, a test defined that is associated with an order code and has an additional data element defined on the 'eMAR Results Entry' section of the 'POC Results Entry Configuration' form.
  • Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
  • Must have the "NDC's" for "CEFTRIAXONE 1 GM/5 ML INTRAVENOUS SOLUTION" and "COUMADIN (WARFARIN SODIUM) 10 MG ORAL TABLET".
  • A client must have an inpatient episode whose program or unit are configured in the ‘External Pharmacy Setup’ form. (Client A)
  • “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Order Code Setup' form.
  2. Select "Edit Existing Order Code' in the 'Add/Edit Order Code' field.
  3. Search for and select "COUMADIN (WARFARIN SODIUM) 10 MG TABLET ORAL" in the 'Existing Order Code' field.
  4. Select the following values in the 'Additional Data Elements to Include In Avatar eMAR (Administration)' field.
  5. Blood Glucose
  6. eMAR Results Entry value
  7. Weight
  8. Click [Submit] and close the form.
  9. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  10. Search for and select "COUMADIN (WARFARIN SODIUM) 10 MG TABLET ORAL" in the 'New Order' field.
  11. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  12. Validate the 'Dose Unit' field contains "Tablet".
  13. Select "As Needed" from the 'Freq' field.
  14. Set the 'Duration' field to "1" and click [Days].
  15. Validate the 'Days Supply' field contains "1".
  16. Validate the 'Dispense Qty' field contains "1".
  17. Select "Tablet" from the 'Dispense Qty Unit' field.
  18. Validate the 'Directions' field contains "Take one (1) tablet by mouth as needed".
  19. Click [Add to Scratchpad].
  20. Search for and select "CEFTRIAXONE 1 GM/50 ML SOLUTION INTRAVENOUS" in the 'New Order' field.
  21. Set the 'Dose' field to "1".
  22. Select "Gram" in the 'Dose Unit' field.
  23. Select "AS NEEDED" from the 'Freq' field.
  24. Validate the 'Route' field contains "INTRAVENOUS".
  25. Select "IV Push" from the 'Admin Method' field.
  26. Set the 'Duration' field to "8" and click [Days].
  27. Validate the 'Days Supply' field contains "8".
  28. Set the 'Dispense Qty' field to "8".
  29. Select "Gram" in the 'Dispense Qty Unit' field.
  30. Validate the 'Directions' field contains "Inject one (1) gram intravenously as needed".
  31. Click [Add to Scratchpad] and click [Final Review].
  32. Validate the 'Interactions' dialog is displayed.
  33. Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
  34. Validate the 'Final Review' dialog is displayed.
  35. Select "None" in the 'Output' column for both orders and click [Sign]
  36. Validate the 'Order grid' contains the orders for "COUMADIN (WARFARIN SODIUM)" and "CEFTRIAXONE 1 GM/50 ML INTRAVENOUS SOLUTION".
  37. Access the 'eMAR' widget.
  38. Click the 'Click here to provide override reason' field.
  39. Validate the 'Wristband Scan Override' dialog exists.
  40. Select "Other Reason" from the 'Please provide a reason' field.
  41. Set the 'Other Reason' field to any value.
  42. Click [OK].
  43. Validate an order for "CEFTRIAXONE 1 GM/5 ML INTRAVENOUS SOLUTION" is displayed with no hours of administration under the current date.
  44. Validate an order for "COUMADIN (WARFARIN SODIUM) 10 MG ORAL TABLET" is displayed with no hours of administration under the current date.
  45. Complete the 'Order Acknowledgement' and 'Client Education' for both orders.
  46. Select a cell under the current date for the "CEFTRIAXONE" order and for the "COUMADIN" order and click [Administer]
  47. Validate the 'Administration Event' dialog is displayed.
  48. Set the 'Med ID' field to the NDC for "COUMADIN (WARFARIN SODIUM) 10 MG TABLET ORAL".
  49. Select a successful administration event in the 'Administration Event' field.
  50. Click [Warning - View].
  51. Override all warnings and click [OK]
  52. Click the 'Infusion Details' tab.
  53. Set the 'Med ID' field to the NDC for "CEFTRIAXONE 1 GM/5 ML INTRAVENOUS SOLUTION".
  54. Select a successful administration event in the 'Administration Event' field.
  55. Click [Warning - View].
  56. Override all warnings and click [OK]
  57. Click the 'Additional Data (Administration)' tab.
  58. Set the 'Blood Glucose (mg/dL)' field to "120".
  59. Set the 'Weight (lbs/kgs)' field to "100" and select "lbs".
  60. Set the 'eMAR Results Entry' field to "75".
  61. Check the 'Accept administration information entered' check box and click [OK].
  62. Validate the first cells under the current date for the "CEFTRIAXONE" and "COUMADIN" orders contain the amount administered and the time administered.
  63. Double click the administered cell under the current date for the "COUMADIN" order.
  64. Set the 'Result' field to "Test".
  65. Click the 'Additional Data (Results)' tab.
  66. Set the 'Blood Glucose (mg/dL)' field to "100".
  67. Set the 'Weight (lbs/kgs)' field to "99" and select "lbs".
  68. Set the 'eMAR Results Entry' field to "65".
  69. Check the 'Accept administration information entered' check box and click [OK].
  70. Create a report using the 'SYSTEM.cw_vital_signs' table and include the following fields: 'PATID', 'data_entry_date', 'data_entry_time', 'measured_unit', 'reading', 'reading_entry', 'reading_value', and 'vital_sign'.
  71. Filter the report by selecting "Client A's PATID" in the 'PATID' field
  72. Filter the report a second time by selecting the current date in the 'data_entry_date' field.
  73. Validate that 8 rows of data are displayed.
  74. Validate that row 1 contains "mg/dL" in the 'measured_unit' field, "BG" in the 'reading' field, "120" in the 'reading_entry' field, "120 mg/dL" in the 'reading_value' field and "Blood Glucose" in the 'vital_sign' field.

  108. Validate the 'Administration Event' dialog is displayed.
  109. Select "Void Administration Event and Results" and click [Submit Void].
  110. Validate a message is displayed stating: "Are you sure you want to void this Event and Result?" and click [Yes].
  111. Refresh the report created using the 'SYSTEM.cw_vital_signs' table.
  112. Validate that all rows for this administration and result have been removed.

  • An 'Observation Definition' must exist where the following applies: 'Select Observation' = "Gas flow.O2 O2 delivery sys (8839-3)" - 'Observation ID Code' = "Aortic root Oxygen saturation (8839-3)" - 'Field Name' = "Gas flow.O2 O2 delivery sys" - 'Observation Value Unit' = "mg" - 'Observation Value Field Type' = "Integer" - 'Sex/Age Range' = "0+" with a Normal Reference Range of "95-100" - an abnormal Reference Range of "85-94" with an 'Abnormal Code' = "Below low normal (L)" - an abnormal Reference Range of "80-84" with an 'Abnormal Code' = "Below lower panic limits" - select any value in the 'Save as a Vital Sign' field. (Observation Definition A).

Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
  2. Search for and select "Complete Blood Count (CBC)" in the 'New Order' field.
  3. Select "DAILY" in the 'Frequency' field.
  4. Set the 'Duration' field to "48" and click [Hours].
  5. Click the [Add to Scratchpad] and Click [Sign].
  6. Access the 'eMAR' widget.
  7. Click the 'Lab Orders' tab.
  8. Validate an order for "Complete Blood Count (CBC) (DAILY)" is displayed with "Specimen Collect" and no hours of administration under the current date.
  9. Complete 'Order Acknowledgement' and 'Client Education' for the "CBC" order.
  10. Select the "Specimen Collect" cell under the current date for the "Complete Blood Count (CBC) (DAILY)" order and click [Administer]
  11. Validate the 'Specimen Collection' dialog is displayed.
  12. Check the 'Accept specimen collection entered' check box and click [OK].
  13. Validate the first cell under the current date for the "Complete Blood Count (CBC) (DAILY)" orders contains the specimen collection time.
  14. Validate that "Client A" is selected and access the 'POC Results Entry' form.
  15. Validate that the 'Include Inactive Orders' is defaulted to "No".
  16. Select the "Complete Blood Count (CBC)" order in the 'Order' field.
  17. Validate the 'Order details' area is disabled and contains: 'Order #', 'Order Status', 'Order Type', 'Order Code', 'Frequency', 'Order Date', 'Start Date', 'Current Stop Date' and 'Discontinue Date' (if applicable).
  18. Validate that the 'Add/Correct/Void' field is disabled, required and defaulted to "Add".
  19. Validate the 'Specimen Collection Date' field contains the collection date.
  20. Validate the 'Specimen Collection Time' field contains the collection time.
  21. Validate the 'Result Date' field contains the current date.
  22. Validate the 'Result Time' field contains the current time.
  23. Validate that the 'cws user modeled form' section is displayed.
  24. Fill out the fields.
  25. Validate the 'Results' section is displayed.
  26. Set the 'Field Name' field to "117" and validate that "mg" is displayed next to it.
  27. Click [File].
  28. Create a report using the 'SYSTEM.cw_vital_signs' table and include the following fields: 'PATID', 'data_entry_date', 'data_entry_time', 'measured_unit', 'reading', 'reading_entry', 'reading_value', and 'vital_sign'.
  29. Filter the report by select "Client A's PATID" in the 'PATID' field
  30. Filter the report a second time by selecting the current date in the 'data_entry_date' field.
  31. Validate that the one row of data is displayed.

  33. Select "Client A" and access the 'POC Results Entry' form.
  34. Validate that the 'Include Inactive Orders' is defaulted to "No".
  35. Select the "Complete Blood Count" order in the 'Order' field.
  36. Select "Yes" in the 'Include Resulted Collections' field.
  37. Validate the 'Collection' field contains the "Collection Date Collection Time and the staff who collected the specimen".
  38. Validate that "Correct" is selected by default in the 'Add/Edit/Void' field.
  39. Validate that the 'Field Name' field contains "117".
  40. Set the 'Field Name' field to "125" and click [File].
  41. Refresh the report created using the 'SYSTEM.cw_vital_signs' table.
  42. Validate that the one row of data is displayed.

  48. Validate the 'Collection' field contains the "Collection Date Collection Time and the staff who collected the specimen".
  49. Validate that "Correct" is selected by default in the 'Add/Edit/Void' field.
  50. Select "Void" in the 'Add/Correct/Void' field.
  51. Enter any value in the 'Void Comments' field.
  52. Click [File].
  53. Refresh the report created using the 'SYSTEM.cw_vital_signs' table.
  54. Validate that the row for this result has been removed.
  55. Create a report using the 'SYSTEM.results_header' table including the following fields: 'PATID', 'data_entry_date', 'result_status_code', 'result_status_value', 'universal_svc_id_code_alt', 'universal_svc_id_val_alt', 'result_rpt_change_date', 'result_rpt_change_time', 'voided_date', 'voided_by', 'voided_by_user_name', 'void_note', and 'display_type_value'.
  56. Filter the report using the 'PATID' field and selecting "Client A's" PATID.
  57. Filter the report a second time by selecting the current date in the 'data_entry_date' field.
  58. Validate that one row of data exists for this client.
  59. Validate that the 'result_status_code' field for this row contains a "C".
  60. Validate that the 'result_status_value' field is populated with: Correction to results.
  61. Validate that the 'universal_svc_id_code_alt' field contains "CBC".
  62. Validate that the 'universal_svc_id_val_alt' field contains "Complete Blood Count".
  63. Validate that the 'voided_date' field contains the current date.
  64. Validate the 'voided_by' field contains the username associated with the staff member who voided the result.
  65. Validate that the 'voided_by_user_name' field contains the username associated with the staff member who voided the result.
  66. Validate that the 'void_note' field contains the value that was entered in the 'Void Comments' field.
  67. Validate that the 'result_rpt_change_date' field contains the value that was entered in the 'Result Date' field.
  68. Validate that the 'result_rpt_change_time' field contains the value that was entered in the 'Result Time' field.

  41. Set the 'Other Reason' field to any value.
  42. Click [OK].
  43. Validate an order for "CEFTRIAXONE 1 GM/5 ML INTRAVENOUS SOLUTION" is displayed with no hours of administration under the current date.
  44. Validate an order for "COUMADIN (WARFARIN SODIUM) 10 MG ORAL TABLET" is displayed with no hours of administration under the current date.
  45. Complete the 'Order Acknowledgement' and 'Client Education' for both orders.
  46. Select a cell under the current date for the "CEFTRIAXONE" order and for the "COUMADIN" order and click [Administer]
  47. Validate the 'Administration Event' dialog is displayed.
  48. Set the 'Med ID' field to the NDC for "COUMADIN (WARFARIN SODIUM) 10 MG TABLET ORAL".

  87. Validate the 'Weight (lbs/kgs)' field contains "100" and change the value to "105".
  88. Validate that "lbs" is selected.
  89. Validate the 'eMAR Results Entry' field contains "75" and change the value to "80".
  90. Click the 'Additional Data (Results)' tab.
  91. Validate the 'Blood Glucose (mg/dL)' field contains "100" and change the value to "105".
  92. Validate the 'Weight (lbs/kgs)' field contains "99" and change the value to "125".
  93. Validate that "lbs" is selected.
  94. Validate the 'eMAR Results Entry' field contains "65" and change the value to "85".
  95. Check the 'Accept administration information entered' check box and click [OK].
  96. Refresh the report created using the 'SYSTEM.cw_vital_signs' table.

  108. Validate the 'Administration Event' dialog is displayed.
  109. Select "Void Administration Event and Results" and click [Submit Void].
  110. Validate a message is displayed stating: "Are you sure you want to void this Event and Result?" and click [Yes].
  111. Refresh the report created using the 'SYSTEM.cw_vital_signs' table.
  112. Validate that all rows for this administration and result have been removed.
