Recent Lab Results Widget Template Performance Improvement
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Diagnosis
  • Client Profile / Physicians Orders
  • Results Entry
  • Dynamic Form - Order Entry Client Profile Order List/Selection
  • Select Result
  • Ambulatory Progress Notes
  • Progress Notes (Group and Individual)
Scenario 1: Recent Lab Results Widget Template Validation
Specific Setup:
  • The registry setting "Enable Templates on Demand for SQL Widget" is enabled.
  • Admit or select an existing client who has an address on file.
Steps
  1. Enter a lab order using the "Client Profile/Physicians Orders" form.
  2. Using the "Results Entry" form, enter a result for the lab order as follows:
  3. “Add” a result
  4. Click “Select Order” and select the order from Step 1
  5. Enter any data desired in the required ‘Filler Order #’ field
  6. Under ‘Universal Service ID Code Lookup’ select “Contains search string” and search for the desired result by name
  7. Populate the ‘Specimen Collected Date’, ‘Specimen Collected Time’, ‘Specimen Received Date’, and ‘Specimen Received Time’ fields with dates/times within 5 days of current.
  8. Click “File Header Info”
  9. Navigate to the ‘Result Details’ tab
  10. “Add” Result Detail
  11. Under ‘Universal ID Code’ select “Contains search string” and search for the desired result
  12. Under ‘Observation Result Status Code’ select any code
  13. Populate the ‘Observation Date’ and ‘Observation Time’ fields with dates/times within 5 days of current.
  14. Click “File Detail Info” and “Exit Option”
  15. Open any form such as a progress note that has a scrolling free text field type.
  16. Navigate to the scrolling free text field.
  17. Click the widget template icon next to the scrolling free text field.
  18. Click "Widget Templates".
  19. Click "Client".
  20. Click "Recent Lab Results".
  21. Click "Active Diagnoses"
  22. Validate the scrolling free text field is populated with the client's recent lab results and active diagnoses.
  23. Complete the form and file the data.
Scenario 2: Validate data results using "User Defined " text templates
Specific Setup:
  • The registry setting "Enable Templates on Demand for SQL Widget" is enabled.
  • Have access to a form that contains as scrolling text field, for example a progress note form.
Steps
  1. Open the form
  2. Navigate to the scrolling free text field.
  3. "Right-Click" in the field (In "Avatar NX", click the widget template icon next field)
  4. Select "User Defined Template".
  5. Click "Manage Templates".
  6. Set the "Template Name" to a desired name [TemplateTest]
  7. Add fields such as Street, City, State, Zip by dragging from the right side panel
  8. Type in text in the field that also includes carriage return line feeds within the text
  9. Click the [Preview] button
  10. Validate the "Preview" window, displays all data as expected including the line feeds
  11. Click [OK]
  12. Click [Add]
  13. Validate [TemplateTest] displays in the bottom panel under "My Templates"
  14. Click [Save]
  15. "Right-Click" in the field
  16. Click "User Defined Templates"
  17. Select [TemplateTest] template
  18. Validate the field is populated with data and text based on the template set up in step 1
  19. Validate all data is formatted as expected, including any carriage return line feeds included in the template
  20. Submit the form
  21. Return to the form and select the row just submitted
  22. Navigate to the scrolling text field
  23. Validate the data populated and formatted in the field is as expected, including any carriage return line feeds included in the template

'Treatment Plan' - Automatic Backup and Document Routing
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Treatment Plan
  • Registry Settings (CWS)
Scenario 1: Treatment Plan - default from previous plan
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • Client A must have a Treatment Plan filed that has values entered in the 'Strengths', 'Weaknesses', and 'Discharge Planning' fields (Plan A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Treatment Plan' form.
  2. Click [Add].
  3. Verify the 'Do you want to default plan information form a previously entered plan?' dialog is displayed.
  4. Click [Yes].
  5. Select "Plan A" in the 'Default From Previous' field.
  6. Click [OK].
  7. Enter the desired date in the 'Please Enter Plan Date' field.
  8. Click [OK].
  9. Verify the 'Are you sure you want to default information from this plan?' dialog is displayed.
  10. Click [Yes].
  11. Enter the current date in the 'Plan Date' field.
  12. Select any value in the 'Plan Type' field.
  13. Select 'Draft' in the 'Treatment Plan Status' field.
  14. Validate the 'Strengths' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  15. Validate the 'Weaknesses' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  16. Validate the 'Discharge Planning' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  17. Click [Launch Plan].
  18. Add a new problem, goal, objective and intervention.
  19. Click [Back to Plan Page].
  20. Validate the 'Strengths' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  21. Validate the 'Weaknesses' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  22. Validate the 'Discharge Planning' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  23. Select "Final" in the 'Treatment Plan Status' field.
  24. Click [Submit].
Scenario 2: Treatment Plan - Default From Previous Plan when Document Routing is enabled and the 'Enable Automatic Backup' registry setting is enabled
Specific Setup:
  • Document Routing is enabled on the 'Treatment Plan' form.
  • The 'Enable Automatic Backup' registry setting is set to "Y".
  • A client is enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • The 'Treatment Plan Default Setup' form must be configured for the 'Treatment Plan' form to default all sections and problem, goal, objective, and intervention data.
  • The 'Default From Previous Plan' registry setting must be set to "Y"
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Treatment Plan' form.
  2. Click [Add].
  3. Enter the current date in the 'Plan Date' field.
  4. Select any value in the 'Plan Type' field.
  5. Select the desired problem to include in the plan from the 'Problems' grid.
  6. Click [New Row].
  7. Select any value from the 'Role' field in the 'Participation' section.
  8. Select the desired staff member in the 'Staff ID' field.
  9. Validate that the selected staff member's name displays in the 'Participant Name' field.
  10. Select any value from the 'Plan Author' field.
  11. Select any value from the 'Notification' field.
  12. Add multiple staff members as needed.
  13. Enter any value in the 'Strengths' field.
  14. Enter any value in the 'Weakness' field.
  15. Enter any value in the 'Discharge Planning' field.
  16. Select "Draft" in the 'Treatment Plan Status' field.
  17. Click [Launch Plan].
  18. Select the problem from the 'Tree View'.
  19. Select any value from the 'Status' field.
  20. Click [Add New Goal].
  21. Enter any value in the 'Goal' field.

  34. Validate a message is displayed stating: Are you sure you want to default information from this plan?
  35. Click [Yes].
  36. Validate the 'Plan Date' field is displays as expected.
  37. Select the desired value in the 'Plan Type' field.
  38. Change "Draft" to "Final" in the 'Treatment Plan Status' field.
  39. Click [Submit].
  40. Validate all of the previously filed treatment plan data that was defaulted into this plan displays in the document routing TIFF image.
  41. Click [Accept].
  42. Enter the password for the logged in user and press the 'Enter' key.
  43. Validate the 'Treatment Plan' files successfully.
Scenario 3: Treatment Plan - Load Treatment Plan data from Automatic Backup when Document Routing is enabled
Specific Setup:
  • Document Routing is enabled on the 'Treatment Plan' form.
  • The 'Enable Automatic Backup' registry setting is set to "Y".
  • A client is enrolled in an existing episode(Client A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Treatment Plan' form.
  2. Click [Add].
  3. Enter the current date in the 'Plan Date' field.
  4. Select any value in the 'Plan Type' field.
  5. Select the desired problem to include in the plan from the 'Problems' grid.
  6. Click [New Row].
  7. Select any value from the 'Role' field in the 'Participation' section.
  8. Select the desired staff member in the 'Staff ID' field.
  9. Validate that the selected staff member's name displays in the 'Participant Name' field.
  10. Select any value from the 'Plan Author' field.
  11. Select any value from the 'Notification' field.
  12. Add multiple staff members as needed.
  13. Enter any value in the 'Strengths' field.
  14. Enter any value in the 'Weakness' field.
  15. Enter any value in the 'Discharge Planning' field.
  16. Select "Draft" in the 'Treatment Plan Status' field.
  17. Click [Launch Plan].
  18. Select the problem from the 'Tree View'.
  19. Select any value from the 'Status' field.
  20. Click [Add New Goal].
  21. Enter any value in the 'Goal' field.
  22. Select any value from the 'Status' field.
  23. Click [Add New Objective].
  24. Enter any value in the 'Objective' field.

  33. Validate the ‘Load From Backup’ dialog displays with a message stating: "You have an unsubmitted backup of a plan from [the current date] and [the current time]. Would you like to load it instead of creating a new one?"
  34. Click [Yes].
  35. Validate the 'Plan Date' field is displays as expected.
  36. Validate the 'Plan Type' field is displays as expected.
  37. Change "Draft" to "Final" in the 'Treatment Plan Status' field.
  38. Click [Submit].
  39. Validate all of the previously filed treatment plan data that was defaulted into this plan displays in the document routing TIFF image.
  40. Click [Accept].
  41. Enter the password for the logged in user and press the 'Enter' key.
  42. Validate the 'Treatment Plan' files successfully.
Scenario 4: Treatment Plan - File a Treatment Plan with Document Routing
Specific Setup:
  • Client must be admitted into an active episode with problems recorded in 'Problem List' form (Client A).
  • The "SS Treatment Plan Int Service Code 1" field must be enabled for the 'Treatment Plan' form through the 'Site Specific Section Modeling' form (Service Code).
  • The 'Treatment Plan' form must have document routing enabled.
  • Must have the 'My To Do's' widget configured on a view.
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Treatment Plan' form.
  2. Click [Add].
  3. Enter "T" in the 'Plan Date' field.
  4. Validate the current date is displayed in the 'Plan Date' field.
  5. Click [Plan Date T].
  6. Validate the current date is displayed in the 'Plan Date' field.
  7. Select any value in the 'Plan Type' field.
  8. Select any value from 'Problem List'.
  9. Click [New Row].
  10. Select any value from the 'Role' field in the 'Participation' section.
  11. Select 'Staff ID' and enter "Staff Member A".
  12. Validate that the selected staff member's name displays in the 'Participant Name' field.
  13. Select any value from the 'Plan Author' field.
  14. Select any value from the 'Notification' field.
  15. Add multiple staff members as needed.
  16. Enter any value in the 'Strengths' field.
  17. Enter any value in the 'Weakness' field.
  18. Enter any value in the 'Discharge Planning' field.
  19. Select "Draft" in the 'Draft/Final' field.

  38. Click [Sign and Route].
  39. Enter the password and press the 'Enter' key.
  40. Select the staff member associated with the logged in user in the 'Route Document To' field and click [Add]
  41. Click [Submit]
  42. Access the 'My To Do's' widget.
  43. Click [My To Do's].
  44. Validate the record for "Client A" and click [Review].
  45. Validate the treatment plan data displays as expected in the 'Document Preview'.
  46. Click [Accept] and [Sign].
  47. Enter the password and click [Verify].
  48. Validate the record is no longer present.
  49. Close the 'To Do's'.
Scenario 5: Treatment Plan - Add a Problem, Goal, Objective, and Intervention with the 'Enable Automatic Backup' registry setting set to "Y"
Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar CWS->Treatment Plan->->->->Enable Automatic Backup' registry setting must be set to "Y".
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • Scrolling Free Text fields must be enabled via the 'Site Specific Section Modeling' form for a 'Treatment Plan' form. (Strengths, Weaknesses, Discharge Planning) (Treatment Plan)
Steps
  1. Select “Client A” and access the ‘Treatment Plan’ form.
  2. Set the ‘Plan Date’ field to the current date.
  3. Set the ‘Plan Name’ to any value.
  4. Select any value in the ‘Plan Type’ field.
  5. Set the 'Strengths' field to any value.
  6. Set the 'Weaknesses' field to any value.
  7. Set the 'Discharge Planning' field to any value.
  8. Select “Draft” in the ‘Treatment Plan Status’ field and click [Launch Plan].
  9. Click [Add New Problem].
  10. Set the ‘Problem Code’ field to any value.
  11. Select “Active” in the ‘Status (Problem List)’ field.
  12. Set the ‘Problem’ field to any value.
  13. Select any value in the ‘Status’ field.

Specific Setup:
  • The 'Avatar CWS-> Treatment Plan->->->->Enable Automatic Backup' registry setting must be set to "N".
  • A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
Steps
  1. Select “Client A” and access the ‘Treatment Plan’ form.
  2. Set the ‘Plan Date’ field to the current date.
  3. Set the ‘Plan Name’ field to any value.
  4. Select any value in the ‘Plan Type’ field.
  5. Select “Draft” in the ‘Treatment Plan Status’ field and click [Launch Plan].
  6. Click [Add New Problem].
  7. Set the ‘Problem Code’ field to any value.
  8. Select “Active” in the ‘Status (Problem List)’ field.
  9. Set the ‘Problem’ field to any value
  10. Select any value in the ‘Status’ field and click [Add New Goal].
  11. Set the ‘Goal’ field to any value.
  12. Select any value in the ‘Status’ field and click [Add New Objective].

  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Treatment Plan' form.
  2. Click [Add].

  22. Click [Back to Plan Page].
  23. Validate the 'Strengths' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  24. Validate the 'Weaknesses' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  25. Validate the 'Discharge Planning' field contains the information defaulted in from "Plan A".
  26. Click [Launch Plan].
  27. Validate the new problem, goal, objective, and intervention are displayed.
  28. Validate the 'SS Treatment Plan Scrolling Free Text ' fields contain the value entered in the previous steps.
  29. Validate the 'Staff Responsible' fields contains the value entered in the previous steps.
  30. Validate the 'Staff Assigning' fields contains the value entered in the previous steps.
  31. Click [Back to Plan Page].
  32. Select "Final" in the 'Treatment Plan Status' field.

  • Google Chrome Browser settings are set to enable Autofill for passwords and the logged in user's password has been saved.

  • The 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form is configured and selected in the "Bells Notes" section of the 'CarePOV Management' form. Please note: this must be done by a Netsmart Associate.
  • Document routing is disabled for the 'Progress Notes (Group and Individual)' form.
  • The 'Warning Message for "Draft" Forms' registry setting is enabled with a value.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Scheduling Calendar' form.
  2. Right click in the 'Appointment Grid' and click [Add Appointment].
  3. Enter the desired service code in the 'Service Code' field.
  4. Enter "Client A" in the 'Client' field.
  5. Select the desired value in the 'Episode Number' field.
  6. Fill out all required fields.
  7. Click [Submit].
  8. Validate successful submission.
  9. Validate the scheduled appointment is added to the 'Scheduling Calendar' form.
  10. Log into Bells Notes with existing login credentials.
  11. Click the "Agenda" section and verify the existence of the scheduled appointment from the 'Scheduling Calendar' form in myAvatar.
  12. Select the scheduled appointment and validate the summary of the scheduled appointment is displayed on the right side of the Bells Notes.
  13. Validate [Start Note] is displayed for the scheduled appointment on the right side of the Bells Notes.
  14. Click [Start Note] and verify the existence of the "Session Information" window.
  15. Fill out all required fields and select the desired note type.
  16. Validate user is able to start a note successfully.
  17. Verify the existence of "Client A" in the client header when note is started.
  18. Fill out all required fields.
  19. Click [Sign Note].
  20. Validate the Sign Note' dialog is displayed.
  21. Enter the pin for "User A" in the 'Pin' field and click [Sign].
  22. Validate a message is displayed stating: Note Signed Successfully.
  23. Log into myAvatar as [UserA].
  24. Select "Client A" and select "Progress Notes" widget.

Scenario 1: "Implantable Device List" form validation
Specific Setup:
  • Avatar CareFabric 2022 Update 66 is required for full functionality.
Steps
  1. Open "Implantable Device List" form.
  2. Select a test client in the "Client Search" field.
  3. Select a device from the "Unique Device Identifier Search" field.
  4. Verify the following fields in the "Device Information" section display data:
  5. Brand Name
  6. Version or Model
  7. Device Type
  8. Company Name
  9. Device Description
  10. What MRI safety information does the labeling contain
  11. Device required to be labeled as containing natural rubber latex or dry natural rubber?
  12. Verify the following fields in the "Production Identifiers" section display data. Note that not all fields will be populated, depending on the selected device:
  13. Batch/Lot Number
  14. Serial Number
  15. Expiration Date
  16. Manufacturing Date
  17. Donation Identification Number
  18. Click [File Implantable Device To Client].
  19. Click [OK] on the "Information: Filed Successfully" dialog.
  20. Click [Submit].
  21. Open "Implantable Device List" form for the same test client.
  22. Validate all fields display the data as filed previously.
  23. Click [Submit].

  6. Click [Search].
  7. Select '(40721) Device Type'.
  8. Click [Print Dictionary].
  9. Verify Device Type list displays.
  10. Close the report.
  11. Close the form.
  12. Using Crystal Reports or any other SQL report viewer, create a report against SYSTEM.cw_implantable_device.
  13. Include, at a minimum, the following tables:

  8. Validate the 'Extended Dictionary Data Element' field now contains "ONC Clinical Status" and "ONC Verified Status".
  9. Select "(16254) ONC Clinical Status" in the 'Extended Dictionary Data Element' field.
  10. Validate the 'Extended Dictionary Value (Single Dictionary)' field contains: "Active", "Inactive", "Recurrence", "Relapse", "Remission", and "Resolved".

Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Problem List' form.
  2. Click [View/Enter Problems].
  3. Select the desired problem in the 'Problem' field.
  4. Select "Active" in the 'Status' field.
  5. Populate all other desired fields.
  6. Click [Save], [Yes], and [Submit].
  7. Select "Client A" and access the 'Problem List' form.
  8. Click [View/Enter Problems].
  9. Validate the problem filed in the previous steps is displayed.
  10. Select "Void" in the 'Status' field.
  11. Click [Save], [Yes], and [Submit].
  12. Select "Client A" and access the 'Problem List' form.
  13. Click [View/Enter Problems].
  14. Validate the problem is no longer displayed since it has been voided.
  15. Close the form.

Scenario 1: 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' - validate report displays
Specific Setup:
  • A client must be enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
Steps
  1. Select "Client A" and access the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form.
  2. Click [Update] and [New Row].
  3. Enter the desired value in the 'Allergen/Reactant' field.
  4. Enter the desired date in the 'Date Recognized' field.
  5. Select any value in the 'Status' field.
  6. Select any value in the 'Reactions' field.
  7. Click [Save].
  8. Populate desired or required fields and submit the form.
  9. Select "Client A" and access the 'Allergies and Hypersensitivities' form.
  10. Click [Display].
  11. Validate the Crystal report opens in a new window and contains the current date and allergy entry.
  12. Click [Print Report].
  13. Validate the report opens as a PDF in a new browser tab.
  14. Click [Print].
  15. Validate the PDF report has access to your local printers and that the user can save as a PDF as well.
  16. Click [Cancel].
  17. Close the PDF report tab.
  18. Switch back to the Crystal Report window.
  19. Click [Export].
  20. Select "Adobe Acrobat (PDF)" in the 'Select A Format' field.
