Product Update Description

A new Registry Setting 'Alert User When Entering a Past Appointment' is added to allow the 'Appointment is in the past' alert to be optional. The display of the 'Appointment is in the past' alert when the appointment time has passed for the current date is also corrected.

The 'Alert User When Entering a Past Appointment' registry setting
The functionality of the 'Alert User When Entering a Past Appointment' registry setting has been incorporated. Disabling the alert will prevent users from being warned when scheduling appointments with past dates or times.
Value Added: When activated, this feature improves the 'Scheduling Calendar' form by issuing a warning message if users attempt to schedule an appointment in the past.

The 'Alert User When Entering a Past Appointment' registry setting
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Registry Settings (PM)
Scenario 1: Scheduling Calendar - Validate scheduling past appointments when the 'Alert User When Entering a Past Appointment' registry setting is enabled
Specific Setup:
  • A client is enrolled in an existing episode (Client A).
  • A practitioner is defined with hours for scheduling (Practitioner A).
  • Set "Y" for the 'Alert User When Entering a Past Appointment' option in the Registry setting.
Steps
  1. Access the 'Registry Settings' form.
  2. Enter "Alert User When Entering a Past Appointment" in the 'Limit Registry Settings to the Following Search Criteria' field.
  3. Click [View Registry Settings].
  4. Validate the 'Registry Setting Details' field contains: When set to 'Y', the user will receive an alert before scheduling a new appointment that occurs at a past date or time. This is the default value. Select 'N' to disable the alert.
  5. Enter "Y" in the 'Registry Setting Value
  6. Click [Submit] and close the form.
  7. Access the 'Scheduling Calendar' form.
  8. Select a date in the past.
  9. Right-click in the 'Appointment Grid' for "Practitioner A" and click [Add Appointment].
  10. Validate a message is displayed stating: Appointment Date is in the past. Would you like to continue?
  11. Click [No].
  12. Validate a message is displayed stating: Cancelled.
  13. Click [OK].
  14. Validate the 'Scheduling Calendar' is displayed.
  15. Right-click in the 'Appointment Grid' for "Practitioner A" and click [Add Appointment].
  16. Validate a message is displayed stating: Appointment Date is in the past. Would you like to continue?
  17. Click [Yes].
  18. Validate the 'Scheduling Calendar - Appointment Details' form is displayed.
  19. Select the desired service code in the 'Service Code' field.
  20. Select "Client A" in the 'Client' field.
  21. Select the desired episode in the 'Episode Number' field.
  22. Populate any other required and desired fields.
  23. Click [Submit].
  24. Validate that the newly added appointment is displayed for the past date.
  25. Right-click on the appointment created in the previous steps.
  26. Click [Details/Edit].
  27. Validate a message is displayed stating: Appointment Date is in the past. Would you like to continue?
  28. Click [No].
  29. Validate a message is displayed stating: Cancelled.
  30. Click [OK].
  31. Validate the 'Scheduling Calendar' is displayed.
  32. Right-click on the appointment created in the previous steps.
  33. Click [Details/Edit].

  • Set the "N" value for the 'Alert User When Entering a Past Appointment' option in the Registry setting.
Steps
