Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
  • Dictionary Update (PM)
  • File Import
  • Resource Definition
Scenario 1: File Import : Resource Definition Add/Edit
Specific Setup:
  • Dictionary Update
  • Select "Appointment Other Tabled Files" from the File dropdown list.
  • Select "(1505) Resource Type" from the Data Element list box.
  • Add new 'Resource Type' dictionary code.
  • File import
  • A file import file of 'Resource Definition' file type is created to add a new resource definition.
  • A file import file of 'Resource Definition' file type is created to edit the above resource definition.
Steps
  1. Open the "File Import" form.
  2. Select the 'Resource Definition' File Type.
  3. Click on 'Upload New File' radio button.
  4. Select file for 'Add' resource definition.
  5. Compile the 'Add' resource definition file.
  6. Verify that the file compiles without any error.
  7. Post the file.
  8. Verify that the file posts without any error.
  9. Select the 'Print File' option and review the report.
  10. Close the report.
  11. Close the form.
  12. Open the 'Resource Definition' form.
  13. Verify all data imported correctly.
  14. Follow step 1-13 for 'Edit' resource definition file.

  • A file import file of 'Room Definition' file type is created to edit the above room definition.
Steps
  1. Open the "File Import" form.
  2. Select the 'Room Definition' File Type.
  3. Click on 'Upload New File' radio button.
  4. Select file for 'Add' room definition.
  5. Compile the 'Add' room definition file.
  6. Verify that the file compiles without any error.
  7. Post the file.
  8. Verify that the file posts without any error.
  9. Close the report.
