Product Update Description

The 'Select Other Staff Member to Copy Hours From' feature of the 'Staff Members Hours and Exceptions' form is enhanced to 1) support defaulting the 'Effective Date' to the 'Clinician Registered Date' when the hours being copied start at a Date earlier than the Registered Date and 2) limit the number of error messages displayed in the Conflicting Hours message box in order to ensure that the yes/no buttons are available.

Staff Members Hours and Exceptions-Copy from the other Members hours.
Logic added in the Staff Members Hours and Exceptions form, when the effective date of the source staff member is prior to the registration date of the target staff member, the effective date of the added rows on the target staff member's schedule will be defaulted to the staff member's registration date. A notification is presented to the user on the Staff Hours Start Date Adjustment.
Value Added: The target staff's Effective Date is Defaulted with the date of registration when the hours being copied start at a date earlier than the Registered Date

Functionality has been modified to default the 'Effective Date' to the 'Clinician Registered Date' when the hours being copied start at a date earlier than the Registered Date. in addition, the number of error messages displayed in the Conflicting Hours message box are now limited to allow the Yes/No button to always display. Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

Scenario 1: Verify Staff Members Hours and Exceptions
Specific Setup:
  1. User should have access to the "Staff Members Hours And Exceptions" form.
  2. Staff Members A & B exist.
  3. Staff A should have a minimum of 6 records of Hours details with their effective date which is before Staff B's Registration date and with no End date set.
  4. Staff A should have a minimum of 6 records of Hours details with their effective date which is before Staff B's Registration date and with the End date set before Staff B's Registration date.
  5. Staff A should have a minimum of 6 records of Hours details with their effective date which is after Staff B's Registration date and with no End date set.
  6. Staff A should have a minimum of 6 records of Hours details with their effective date which is after Staff B's Registration date and with the End date set after Staff B's Registration date.
Steps
  1. Open the 'Staff Members Hours And Exceptions' form.
  2. Enter the Staff B into the search box and select the staff.
  3. Verify the appropriate values of Staff B are populated in the respective form fields.
  4. Select the 'Staff Member Hours' button to view Staff B's existing hours.
  5. Validate that the grid shows the existing Hour(s) records that Staff B is set with.
  6. Select Close/Cancel.
  7. Set the 'Select Other Staff Member to Copy Hours From' field to the Staff A and select the Staff from the results shown.
  8. Select the 'Copy From Other Staff Member Hours' button to proceed copy.
  9. Validate that the conflict popup is not crowded and overlapping with the options 'Yes' and 'No'.
  10. Validate that the conflict messages are restricted to showing 10 lines of messages and for any remaining shows a note as "Additional conflicts found." followed by "Do you want to continue?".
  11. Selecting [No] will take you to the 'Staff Members Hours And Exceptions' screen without any changes to the form.
  12. Selecting [Yes] will bring up a second popup which tells us about the Hours Adjustments needed if there are any.
  13. Validate the second popup titled "Staff Hours Start Date Adjustment" with the message "Hours with an Effective Date before the Clinician Registered Date (XX/XX/XXXX) have been found and will be changed to use the Clinician Registered Date." with the OK option.
  14. Select [Ok] button.
  15. Validate that the grid is displayed with the entries that have been entered for the first staff member except that the Effective Date has been changed as indicated for the first staff member hours that began before the Clinician Registered Date.
  16. Verify that the entry (or entries) with an End Date before the Staff-B's Registered Date is not included. Click 'Save' on the grid, then 'Yes' to exit the grid.
  17. 'Submit' the form.
  18. Return to the 'Staff Member Hours and Exceptions' form and repeat the request to copy the hours of the first staff member to the second staff member. Click "Yes" on the Message Box that reports 'Staff Hours Conflicts'.
  19. Validate that the grid is displayed with the entries that were saved.
  20. Close the form.
Scenario 2: 'Staff Members Hours And Exceptions' form - field validations
Specific Setup:
  • Practitioner A must be enrolled and not have any information filed in the 'Staff Member Hours And Exceptions' form.
Steps
  1. Select "Practitioner A" and access the 'Staff Members Hours And Exceptions' form.
  2. Click [Staff Member Hours].
  3. Verify the 'Staff Member Hours and Exceptions' table is displayed.
  4. Verify the 'Preferred Appointment Start Time' field exists.
  5. Click [New Row].
  6. Enter the current date in the 'Effective date' field.
  7. Enter "2-Monday" in the 'Day' field.
  8. Enter any value in the 'Site' field.
  9. Enter "9:00 AM" in the 'Start Time' field.
  10. Enter "5:00 PM" in the 'End Time' field.
  11. Enter "0-None" in the 'Preferred Appointment Start Time' field.
  12. Click [New Row].
  13. Enter the current date in the 'Effective date' field.
  14. Enter "3-Tuesday" in the 'Day' field.
  15. Enter any value in the 'Site' field.
  16. Enter "9:00 AM" in the 'Start Time' field.
  17. Enter "5:00 PM" in the 'End Time' field.
