Care Manager's IBNR Authorizations

Generate an incurred but not reported (IBNR) report that lists service charges that have occurred but have not been reported to the provider. The report provides Care Manager authorizations, remaining balances, estimated liability, remaining liability, and overall authorizations on or before the report date.

  1. Go to: Avatar MSO > Care Management Reports > Care Manager's IBNR Authorizations.
  2. In the Select Individual Or All Care Managers field:
    • Select a care manager.
      or
    • Select All to generate a report for all care managers.
  3. In the Select Authorization Effective Date field, enter the report date.
  4. Service authorizations denied as of this date are included in this report.
  5. Click OK.
    The report details authorization information, and the following:
    • Authorized Codes - CPT or revenue code. (C - CPT, R - Revenue) followed by the code.
    • Authorized Units - number of authorized service units.
    • Estimated Liability - entered in the Service Authorization form.
    • Remaining Liability - estimated liability minus the billed amount (Claims Processing forms).
