Care Manager's Denied Authorizations

Generate a report that lists denied service authorizations as of the date, sorted by care manager.

Prerequisites:


  1. Go to: Avatar MSO > Care Management Reports > Care Manager's Denied Authorizations
  2. In the Select Individual Or All Care Managers field:
    • Select a care manager
      or
    • Select All to generate a report for all care managers.
  3. In the Select Authorization Effective Date field, enter the report date.
  4. Service authorizations denied as of this date are included in this report.
  5. Click OK.
    Result: The report details authorization information, and the following:
    • Denial Reason - authorization denied reason.
    • Authorized Codes - CPT or revenue code. (C - CPT, R - Revenue) followed by the code.
    • Authorized Units - number of authorized service units.
    • Estimated Liability - entered in the Service Authorization form.
    • Remaining Liability - estimated liability minus the billed amount (Claims Processing forms).
    • Total Est. Liability - total estimated liability.
    • Total Rem. Liability - total remaining liability.
