Report Definition Import

Upload a report definition file to myAvatar. You can edit the report definition later (using the Report Definition form).

  • The file includes help messages for Crystal Reports data elements and a build environment code.
  • If the file replaces an existing report definition, the build environment code must match the myAvatar system code.
  • If the file has new menus and sub menus, they are added to myAvatar.

  1. Go to: RADplus Utilities > Reports.
  2. Choose the report you want to import and select Open.
  3. Choose Create New or Overwrite Existing to add or replace a report definition.
Note: If you change this choice later, you need to scan the file again.
  4. Select Begin Import Scan to check the file for problems. You will see the scan results:
    • Warnings mean you can import the report definition.
    • Errors mean you can’t import the report definition.
    • If you are overwriting a report, you will see any differences between the file and the report definition.
  5. Select Print Import Scan Results to print the information on the screen.
  6. Select Begin Import to finish importing the report definition.
