ASAM integration prerequisites

ASAM CONTINUUM™ Subscription

The agreement that Netsmart has in place with ASAM is solely an integration agreement. Netsmart is not a reseller of the ASAM CONTINUUM™. Any organization that is interested in leveraging the ASAM CONTINUUM™ and Netsmart’s integration must first have an active agreement or subscription directly with the ASAM CONTINUUM™. Netsmart will not be involved in those discussions or negotiations between an organization and ASAM CONTINUUM™.

Netsmart is a certified integration vendor with the ASAM CONTINUUM™. Once an organization has an active agreement in place, ASAM will provide the organization with the following identifiers that must be provided to your Netsmart implementation representative to establish the integration:

  • ASAM Organization Identifier
  • ASAM EHR Identifier
  • FEI API Key
myAvatar Required Product Updates

Prior to installing any necessary product updates to support the integration with the ASAM CONTINUUM™ in a production environment, Netsmart strongly recommends installing the updates and performing thorough testing in a test environment.

The following modules and product updates are required to implement and utilize the myAvatar ASAM CONTINUUM™ integration:

  • myAvatar CareFabric Connection
    • myAvatar CareFabric connection via ‘CareFabric Management’ is required for use of the myAvatar ASAM Module
    • If your organization is not configured with the CareFabric Connection, please reach out to your Client Alignment Executive for more information
    • After the CareFabric Connection is established, your assigned implementation representative will configure the ASAM Module to support the integration when the ASAM identifiers are provided
  • myAvatar updated to Cache 2017
  • myAvatar Product Updates
    • myAvatar ASAM 2022 Update 1
