Legal Status - Cal-PM

Manage a client’s legal status record. This data is for information only.


  1. Go to: Avatar PM > Client Management > Client Information
  2. In the Select Client screen, enter the client ID in the Client Name/ID field, select the Search button, and then the corresponding entry.
    • The Episode Selection pre-display shows if the client has multiple episodes.
    • Select an episode and then, OK.
  3. In the Effective Date Of Legal Status field, enter the legal status start date.
  4. In the Effective Time Of Legal Status field, enter the legal status start time.
  5. In the Legal Status field, select the legal status.
  6. In the Number of Committed Days field, enter the number of committed days. The number is added to the effective date, and populates the Expiration Date of Legal Status field.
  7. In the Expiration Date Of Legal Status field, enter the legal status expiration date (if applicable).
  8. In the Legal Status Certified By field, enter the person certifying the legal status.
  9. In the County Of Commitment field, select the commitment county.
  10. In the Current Legal Charges field, enter current legal charges.
  11. In the Legal Charges Pending field, select Yes if there are pending legal charges.
  12. In the Legal Charges Specific field, enter additional details for the charges.
  13. In the Judicial Review Of Release field, select Yes if the client's release was granted through a judicial court.
  14. In the Type Of Court field, select the type of court.
  15. In the Return To field, enter details of the client's return to jail.
  16. In the Date Of Death field, enter the client date of death (if applicable).
  17. Select Submit.
