Virtual Blade Server Install Instructions

Virtual Blade Server install instructions.

Please note, this procedure is not tested or approved by Netsmart. This is actually a Topaz issue, and serves as a 'possible' solution for our clients.

The following procedure for using Signature came from a Topaz customer that had problems when using a virtual blade server.

Citrix Server

  1. Connect to Server via RDP Session.
  2. Start Command Prompt on Server.
        Run Net Use.

  4. Change or Modify Registry Setting for HKLM.
  5. Copy the Sig Ini files to ALL User Profiles on Citrix Server at C:\Documents and Settings\User\WINDOWS.
  6. Save files to a Network Share.
  7. Publish DOS as an application on the Citrix Server running Sig Plus.

HKLM Serial Comm

  • Stores connection information for Serial Connections.
  • Topaz Device installed on Server connects to \\Device\Serial0 by default with Value Data - COM1.  The COM1 Value data setting on \\Device\Serial0 needs to be removed.
  • If needed, create COM1 key and assign Value Data - COM1.
  • COM1 key is created after the Net Use is applied correctly. This setting DOES NOT need to be modified; only verified.
