NRI Diagnosis - PM

Record client diagnosis data to support the ORYX performance improvement initiative.

• The NASMHPD (National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors) Research Institute (NRI) has created the Behavior Healthcare Performance Measurement System (BHPMS) which is a certified vendor for The Joint Commission's ORXY initiative.

1. Go to: Avatar PM > Client Management > Client Information
2. In the Select Client screen, enter the client name or ID, and select. Click Select.
   • If the client has multiple episodes, the Episode Information pre-display shows. Select the episode and click OK.
   • If the client has previous NRI diagnosis records, select the record. Click Edit to change information, or click Add to create a new record.
3. In the NRI Diagnosis Date field, enter the date.
4. Select the diagnoses for each of the following areas:
   • Psychiatric Diagnosis
   • Substance Abuse Diagnosis
   • Medical Diagnosis
     Note: Psychiatric Diagnosis and Substance Abuse Diagnosis are set up in the Diagnosis form.
5. Click Submit.
