Print Patient Drug Education Monograph

Print patient drug education monographs that include prescription drug information, medication usage directions, side effect information, and drug interactions.

Prerequisites:

• Specify a connection to a drug interaction database, such as First Databank or Micromedex, in the Order Entry Clinical Screening System Defaults form.

1. In the Order Code (Medication) field, enter the order code number.
2. In the NDC field enter the NDC number. The National Drug Code (NDC) number is a universal product drug identifier. The format is XXXXX-XXXX-XX. This value is critical for correctly identifying a medication for clinical screening purposes.
3. If myAvatar Order Entry is used in conjunction with Micromedex, the Language field displays for printing Spanish language monographs.
4. Click Print Monograph.
